im trying to rig my first model (as a hobby) and i had 4k x 4k canvas w half body(clipped it later bc model is thinner lmao) i decided that i dont like it that small and now im drawing 8k x 8k full body one and its much nicer with how big it is imo. unnecessary tho, it eats up 1gb of ram lmao

I had NO idea you could do this so anytime I was doing symmetry art I was using the ruler and zooming in on the exact pixels to make my guides >_< When I was listening to this at work I was like "hold up, go back. YOU CAN DO THAT?" that's going to save me 5 minutes every time I do something symmetrical xD

I have a question. As someone who is just starting out and only has procreate, I followed your 4000x6000 px and made a sketch of my design. But I was looking at it and thinking “I have all this white space on the left and right.” Will I need that for something in the future or can I safely crop my canvas in a bit closer to my model to give myself some more layers?
free live2d version? short answer is... you kinda can't. longer answer is With a lot of patience lol i haven't watched all of their tutorials, but you can do A LOT with the free version, but you are also limited in a LOT of things, so you'll never be able to achieve a detailed model. if you want something simple tho, most tips people give on youtube should work :)
Hey, one question. Can I export my model art without a psd file but in a normal transparent pdf file and just put the layers into live2d separately? Thank you 😊
I love this new design, but my only concern is that nearly all the distinct parts of the design (the skeleton hands, the book, the tentacles on the apron, the corruption on the legs) are below the waist, which will almost never be seen while streaming
its just my personal preference! i like having the unique elements in my design but keeping the stream looking less busy by showing the top half, and streaming isnt my 100% priority with the model anyway
I feel seen re: your canvas size. My friends get distressed that I make my canvas 5k x 5k 300 dpi. Glad to see another huge canvas user!
Your DPI doesn't matter if you're setting your canvas size in pixels! A 5000x5000 pixel canvas is the same size no matter what your DPI is. :)

you need a psd file to import into live2d cubism! most art software can export as that file type
