There is a more important point about the Passover lamb. The original Passover lamb, the one that was sacrificed on a public barbecue, and had its blood put on the doorpost, was never a sin offering. The Passover lamb was a False god. The lamb was holy to the Egyptians. By very publicly slautering and eating it, the Hebrews were showing their trust in the true God, and a rejection of Egyptian idolatry.
There is an old Christian tradition codified in Liturgical Prayer that does not see Christ as a sacrifice needed to cover our sins. It follows this formula 1) Death is the result of sin, so because of sin, all flesh will die; 2) Jesus flesh and blood creates a path for flesh to pass from death to life; 3) Sins are forgiven by the Father's free gift of mercy. So to say that Jesus died for our sins is complicated, but it only needs to mean that Jesus died because of our sins to allow a pass-over from death to life because death was the wages of sin. Clearly, the new testament does not require Jesus to die for sins to be forgiven. HE tells people that there sins are forgiven before the death and resurrection. So I am only saying that the death and resurrection can be viewed not as a sin offering but as a mechanism of passing over from death to life.
@@mertonhirsch4734 well, if that’s the case, wouldn’t death have conquered? Why was there so much killing, death and war after the resurrection until now?

Christianity did not destroy paganism; it adopted it ... From Egypt came the ideas of a divine trinity, (The Story of Civilization, Caesar and Christ, Will Durant, Part III, 1944, p. 595) from Syria the resurrection drama of Adonis; from Thrace, perhaps, the cult of Dionysus, the dying and saving god. From Persia came millennarianism, the "ages of the world," the "final conflagration," the dualism of Satan and God, of Darkness and Light; already in the Fourth Gospel Christ is the "Light shining in the darkness, and the darkness has never put it Out." The Mithraic ritual so closely resembled the eucharistic sacrifice of the Mass that Christian fathers charged the Devil with inventing these similarities to mislead frail minds." (The Story of Civilization, Caesar and Christ, Will Durant, Part III, 1944, p. 595) Mithraism, Neoplatonism, Stoicism, Cynicism, and the local cults of municipal or rustic gods... these mystic ideas left their mark on the apostles Paul and John (Will Durant, The Story of Civilization, The Age Of Faith, ch 1, p 9) When Julian sought to restore paganism he found it not only irreconcilably diverse in practice and creed, but far more permeated with incredible miracle and myth than Christianity ... One could no more discover when myth was originally invented(Will Durant, The Story of Civilization, The Age Of Faith, ch 1, page 16) "Christianity was the last great creation of the ancient pagan world." Exodus 20:10 says not to do prohibited labor on the seventh day, yet textually and contextually the verse does not give a specific definition of forbidden tasks. “No labor” is a meaningless abstraction. If the definition is not in the text, it must be outside it.

I’m afraid it’s a here we go again. All of these apparent contradictions are explained in many books and videos. Why are so many religions obsessed with discrediting Christ?
I stumbled on this by accident! It sounds to me that the book of John. Was written by a Roman, writer who only knew of Passover customs outside the Land of Israel. i.e., a two night Seder instead of one, as it occurs in Israel.
Actually, all four gospels agree. It was only the English translations, and 1400 years of Roman theology, that confused things. All four gospels agree that the day of the crucifixion was the day of preperation (i.e. the 14th day of Nisan). And the Sabbath that was coming on as they rush to get Jesus in the tomb was not Saturday, it was the 15th day Sabbath that always follows the 14th day Passover sacrifice.

@A Sojourner why do you talk about the Bible if at all you aren't a Christian? You could be quoting from elsewhere if at all you want to be severed completely from Christ.
1) Jn 13:29 says on the screen that “The disciples thought...” in other words, they were speculating as to why Judas would leave mid Passover. It doesn’t say that Judas left to buy anything. 2) Jn 18:28 The Passover meal was interrupted. The disciples didn’t want to defile themselves because they wanted to continue the meal. The events of this chapter are still on the 14th day. 3) Even if The Gospel of John was wrong (which I’ve shown it isn’t in at least this circumstance ). There are still 3 more testimonies of Jesus’ death and resurrection that you would need to disprove. 4) Why would the martyred apostles willingly die for a Messiah if they couldn’t even remember when he died?
@@hrvatskinoahid1048 I wish I could have done so 30 years ago then I would not have felt guilty for bringing up my children in idolatry. Now it is hard for me to even discuss this with them.
This is amazing information and I wish he could go up against the leaders of the JWs, that would be epic! Yet this is wonderful that he is dispensing his knowledge to the world too.
He sounded good, but he missed some important facts that would come out in a debate. Tovia said only John has Jesus dying on the 14th, but that's not correct. Matthew does too. Matthew 27:62-63 has the Jewish leaders talking about the already dead Jesus, on the 14th. It says "after the day of preparation". Not in English, but in Greek, the other gospels have Jesus stating his desire to have eaten the passover with his disciples after they state he ate the last supper. So in a debate, these facts would be mentioned, and what would come out, is that there is a reason, there is no mention of Jesus eating lamb, or bitter herbs at his last supper. Because it was not a passover seder.
My understanding was that the "Last Supper" took place one day earlier due to a dispensation granted to people from Galilee and that the crucifixion took place on the day that the lambs were sacrificed in the temple.
Yes. The Rabbi never mentioned Matthew 27:62-63 where it says "after the day of preparation" the leaders are talking about the already dead Jesus..... Which would mean Jesus must have died according to Matthew, during the 14th when the lambs were being killed. But that would call his entire point into question, because Matthew has all the language indicating Jesus may have eaten a passover meal.......except for one little.....ok, a few little things...... No lamb eaten at the last supper, and no bitter herbs, and one more little gem that was missed because Tovia must not read Greek......Jesus leaves the last supper, and then makes a statement in Greek, that indicates he still had a desire to eat the passover with his disciples........ And there goes his whole argument. This is proof that something that be wrong, and sound really intelligent, and convincing.
Thank you. I have been confused for years in this subject. Assuming the Last Supper was a Passover Seder, none of the artwork frescoes etc depict it as such. It looks like a regular meal, if indeed a Friday Eve Sabbath meal. If the Halakah was observed, no one would be put to death during the Sabbath. Then , if 3 days were to pass, that does not bring us to Sunday. Too many inconsistencoes for me to make a Christian believer out of me. I think it is great for everyone to have and increase their Faith. Couldn't the festival mentioned in John13:22 have been for the Sabbath meal that was approaching right after Passover? Didn't the Sadducees and Pharisees differ in when the Passover was celebrated? When John describes them avoiding ritual defilement so they could eat the Passover(John18:28), he was describing the Sadducean practice, not the Pharisean practice. It would make sense for Christ and his disciples to celebrate Passover according to the Pharisean practice because of Christ's own words(Matthew23:2-3).

Nothing is new about Jesus, He is still the Son of God. Rabbi Tovia Singer just continues the Pharisees of 2020 years ago to reject the Son of God as Son of God in this time. If Jesus is living now in Israel, Tovia is surely the one who will crucify Him.

And his screaming got louder and louder until gaurds was down his cell, mental health workers and they were all walking by me looking in awe into my Cell and the gaurds actually took him out of the Cell away from me and I stopped. So what type of report you think was written for taking him out of the Cell? Now at that time I had been heavily involved in the name Jesus itself and was reading a book that told me to say the name Jesus 5000 times a day? AND, a few weeks prior to this I told the prison Catholic Priest that I was thinking about becoming an Exorcist? Which he merely replied, "Don't" and walked away? So although I understand the Torah laws of worshipping anyone but the God of Israel, I can't explain how the name Jesus had so much power?
Yes the festival lasts a week but the first day is special. Remember Christianity celebrates 12 days of Christmas but the first day, indeed in many countries nightfall on the Eve of the day, was the most significant. So first night passover is special.

Let me clear this up please as a Christian. Passover is a one day observance (Nisan 14). There is no First Day of Passover. Passover (Nisan 14) and the 7 Day Feast of Unleavened Bread (Nisan 15 - 21) overlap in that unleavened bread is eaten on Passover (Nisan 14) and for the first 6 days of the Feast of Unleavened Bread (Nisan 15-20). Nisan 21, the last day of the Feast, is a solemn assembly. Unleavened Bread was not commanded to be eaten on Nisan 21, but only on Nisan 14-20. Since Nisan 21 was a solemn assembly, I take that as recommendation to obstain from eating unleavened bread on Nisan 21. The Jews don't look at it that way. Jesus observed the traditional Passover of evening of Nisan 14 as the Last Supper. The Jews had combined Passover with the First Day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread. So Passover became Nisan 15 (a Special Sabbath/Holy Convocation) in conjunction with Unleavened Bread (Nisan 15-21). Hence Rabbi SInger calls Passover a multiple day observance. That was not the original intention of Passover. Jesus ate the evening traditional Nisan 14 Passover as the Last Supper. He died the next morning (Same Day, Nisan 14) at 3PM in the afternoon at the time the Passover lambs were slain in preparation for the Friday evening Nisan 15 Passpover. Perhaps the Disciples of Jesus planned to observe both the Nisan 14 and Nisan 15 Passover? Rabbi SInger mentions that one Gospel (John ?) indicates that the Disciples thought Judas might be going out from them to buy stuff for Passover (Nisan 15). Jesus was in the heart of the earth for 3 mornings and 3 evenings (Thursday morning Nisan 14 through Sunday evening Nisan 17) just as Jonah was 3 mornings and 3 evenings in the belly of the Great "DOG" (FISH/DAG/"DOG"/GOD). The morning of Sunday Nisan 17 we proclaim Jesus as RISEN from the dead.
By the time of Christ, many customs in regard to the festival had changed, notable among them the intermixing of the two festivals in some customs and terminology. The whole day of Nisan 14, when the passover lamb was to be killed, was often collectively referred to as the Passover, when in fact the passover was not a day but a meal eaten at the very end of the day and the start of Nisan 15.
The teachings as to the festivals were handed down from Sinai and were well known and universal in 1st century Judea. I have no idea what "-two festivals" you consider conflated. Jewish law is not known for shifts and slippage.
@@twistedbydsign99 essenes used a Solar calendar having Passover a couple days prior to the Pharisee lunar calendar. So it is POSSIBLE (please note I’m not saying this IS what happened only stating a POSSIBILITY) he had Passover meal with his followers on the ESSENE Passover date and died on the Pharisee Passover date.
The Jewish calendar was made many years later by Hillel the Second. In the 1st Cent., there was still a Jewish high court that established the first day of the new month based on the sighting of the new moon.
As you properly note, John was written much later than Matthew, Mark and Luke. John was well aware of their existence and chose to include unique material. The seeming contradiction is explained in cultural tradition and reading the historian Josephus. It was eaten in companies on the 14th and the feast on the 15th. Jesus eats it with his disciples on the 14th. Jesus is the passover lamb on the 15th. Jesus as the passover lamb is not unique to John at all! Matthew, Mark and Luke all record the time of Jesus death -- the exact time the lamb was to be sacrificed! Between the evenings, or 3 pm. A knowledgeable Jew like yourself will have no problem understanding the vantage point of John explaining that although Jesus and his disciples ate the seder, the feast was the next day. Rabbi, you know this explanation and have studied it thoroughly but choose not to mention it? By not mentioning it, you imply that centuries of Christian scholars are ignorant or deceivers. So why did the lamb have to be without defect? Because it was a type of the sinless atonement Jesus would make. Why no broken bones? Again, fulfilled in Jesus. Why was the temple curtain torn when he died? Jesus made a way for us to the Father. The centurion in charge of the execution exclaimed "surely this was the son of God!" None of this matters, Rabbi, if you are righteous before God. But if you have sinned against a holy God, then you might want to take another look at Jesus.
James Tabor says that John is right because, like Sabbath, on Passover the Jewish authorities would never engage in impure acts over Nisan 15. This means that Jesus would have been quickly crucified on Wednesday, not Thursday.
The word passover in greek refer not only in the passover meal but also in the passover week .when you read the context of john 13:1-2 you kinda get the full context because in chapter 13-17 christ gave a lengthy instructions to the disciples in the last supper and then they went to the garden of gethsemane. And by the way in verse 2 of john 13 it beguins with during the supper and it refers to the meal just announced in the prior verse. John 2:13,John 6:4,John 11:55 Some quote john 18:28 that it refers in initial passover meal but it is unlikely because if you read leviticus 15:5-11 gave the stipulations that defilement occurs during day and hours and would expire during sunset which is the initial of the passover meal beguin. Matthew 27:59-62 59 "And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, 60 And laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed. 61 And there was Mary Magdalene, and the other Mary, sitting over against the sepulchre. 62 Now the next day, that followed the day of the PREPARATION, the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate," Mark 15:42-44 42 "And now when the even was come, because it was the PREPARATION, that is, the day before the sabbath, 43 Joseph of Arimathaea, an honourable counsellor, which also waited for the kingdom of God, came, and went in boldly unto Pilate, and craved the body of Jesus. 44 And Pilate marvelled if he were already dead: and calling unto him the centurion, he asked him whether he had been any while dead." Luke 23:52-54 52 "This man went unto Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus. 53 And he took it down, and wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a sepulchre that was hewn in stone, wherein never man before was laid. 54 And that day was the PREPARATION, and the sabbath drew on." John 19:31 - "The Jews therefore, because it was the PREPARATION, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away."
@@edwardmiessner6502 Maybe so, since Friday is the day before the weekly Sabbath, which is the key. As we can see from John, this Sabbath was a High Day, (the Passover). Leviticus 23 says that the first and last days of the Passover week were to be holy days of convocation in which no servile work was to be done. Later in the chapter, it refers to these holy days as "Sabbaths." And Christ is called "Our Passover" in I Corinthians. He is called the Lamb of God in John. He died around 3:00 in the afternoon on the Preparation of the Passover. This is the prescribed date and time that the Passover lamb was to be killed.
Rabbi I greet you in the the name of Ha-Shem. I would like to ask if it is by co-incidence that the disciple who betrayed Jesus was called Judah. Or it a ploy to mean that the Jews (Judah) betrayed him?
My take although Judah Simon Benjamin were very common names for Jews in Judea . I wouldn’t put it past them. In any event the consequence was definitely , as you say . Jews in the middle ages had to wear a yellow ( fake gold colour)round badge , as reminder of them selling out in their messiah. The nazis also forced the Jews to wear the yellow badge.

@@jasonholborn Nonsense; St. Nicolas is represented as Santa Claus don't be a grinch. The Easter egg was regarded as a symbol of the resurrection of the body. For the Christian the egg is an image of the tomb he remains there without movement and without life until He who has to compare His tenderness to that of a hen gathering her chickens beneath her wings comes to break the chains which hold him the captive death. @Weston S I'm afraid you need to look up the gospels. The trouble is the christologies evolve. Look at Mark. And then look at John. Then you have all the arguments. Jesus was a man, Jesus was god, But wait... what about Deuteronomy 6:4? So... after a lot of argument, they decided, this is it. Trinity. Here's the thing. We will NEVER in our lifetime know what Jesus taught about himself. I believe there is enough evidence to suggest he existed was a teacher and possibly zealot who made an impact with some jews of similar persuasion. Probably Jews who were wondering why they were constantly oppressed and poor. *THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM* You have to ask, WHY DIDN'T JESUS LEAVE WRITINGS? He would certainly have been smart enough to realise the importance. I mean, Mohammed thought of it. WHY? Some possiblities. 1. He did and they were lost or destroyed. Because Rome. No like sedition. See gospels. Pro Roman - maybe to deal with the sedition. Blame the Jews. 2. Or he was an illiterate Galilean - still he would have noted the importance of writing and would have asked someone. 3. If you look at Mark - he sounds like he really believed the kingdom of god was at hand during his lifetime. Maybe he thought it was redundant as we'd all be in the 1000 years. It didn't happen so... I have but one thing to suggest to you. Take the blue pill and bug out of here if you want to remain in Dreamland. Just don't belittle those of us who seek the truth. If you don't want to seek it, fine, take the blue pill. Why? If you look too hard you will see the truth. And if you were brought up Christian like me, it HURTS.
Or, you could read more closely. Yes, they went to Jerusalem "for the passover." But Matthew 26:2 is pretty simple "You know that after two days the Passover is coming." They were specifically still figuring out where they would eat the feast. They were still looking in to where they would actually eat the meal and he said he WANTED to eat that passover meal with them, but he would not be able to, because he wouldn't eat again until the kingdom.

Many ordinary people were done a disservice by the doctrines of the church and its obvious contradictions. For it made them abandon even the true scriptures , and it’s simple message . Namely to believe that the divinity committed adultery with a married woman (if God was to be “born “ why not from an unmarried woman?). And to accept a god who was his own father and who begot himself from his own mother , and who came into the world via a woman’s uterus, and allowed himself to be put to death, and who came alive again, and(as Paul claimed) abolished his own Torah which “ he himself “ had given. These abhorrent doctrines, when labelled “ Bible “, caused people to turn away even from the true Scriptures; and they use this as an excuse to close their eyes to the evidence of a creator which the unbiased mind is capable of seeing.
Gospels are not perfectly preserved book of God. Jesus never claimed that he was God Or his begotten son. There is one verse in Gospel of look chapter 18,18" 18 And a certain ruler asked him, saying: Good master, what shall I do to possess everlasting life? 19 And Jesus said to him: Why dost thou call me good? None is good but God alone." This clearly indicates that at time of Jesus he didn't claimed to be a God rather he was prophet. There is also one verse in Gospel where Jesus said he himself know not time of hour( resurrection) I still wonder why Christian believe Jesus was God.

The Jesus of Mark's gospel narrative spends the entire year of his ministry ranging the hinterlands north of Lake Genesareth (renamed Sea of Gaililee for the narrative) astonishing the local folk with his novel "doctrine"; while somehow managing to avoid passing through any of the cities of the Decapolis where he might, perhaps, have come upon some literate person sufficiently astonished by his doctrine to have recorded it. After all, even Jesus himself never did so. For his sole venture beyond his familiar environs, Mark has his Jesus make the pilgrimage to Jerusalem for Passover - where he manages to run afoul of Temple officials, resulting in his death at the hands of the Romans, the "Archons of the Age" in Mark's day.

My understanding here is that , Nisan 14 started on Thursday evening, continued until Friday 6PM which means Passover meal and Crucifixion both happened on Nisan 14,Friday.Jesus did not take the 4th cup until before his death on the cross[Gospel of John 19.30] as he promised previous night[Matthew 26:29 ]. That was his fourth cup[his death]. So why he was not the Passover lamb ?. Basically the Passover was not over until he took the fourth cup on Friday , Nisan 14.
This is true. When Jesus said he will die, in spiritual language or context, he would be clamped by the power of captivity when he will not have freedom until resurrection. So from thursday night arrest to resurrection is 3 days.
There was no Saturday at that time. There was the eight day week of the Julian calendar and the Lunar month of the Jewish people. The Sabbath at the 15th of the month is a high Sabbath or a full moon. The other Sabbaths were on the 8th, the 22nd and the 29th of the month, every month, plus there was of course a new moon that set the first day to set the first Sabbath on the eight of the month. Unfortunately, just as prophesized, God has confused this fundamental celebration of the Sabbath following the behavior of the Jews, as clearly expressed by the prophets, which again prophesized about this...
@A Sojourner Yes, the eight day of the lunar month is the seventh day after the new moon. Today's Sabbath is man made, the lunar Sabbath never changed since creation. The lunar phases never changed. BTW, it's all confirmed in Jewish enciclopedias and other ancient scripts plus is the only calendar that reconciles with the events described in the Torah.
@A Sojourner No, you follow a man-made calendar (pagan calendar even by the names of the days of the week which was prohibited in Exodus 23:13. Saturday is the worst of all too... if you know what god it is referring to. What you wrote does not at all contradicts what I said about the SEVEN days based on the lunar phases, the only ones that NEVER change.
@A Sojourner ... each lunar month was divided into four parts, CORRESPONDING TO THE FOUR PHASES OF THE MOON. The first week of each month began with the NEW MOON, so that, as the lunar month was one or two days more than four periods of seven days, these additional days were not reckoned at all. Universal Jewish Encyclopedia Vol. 10 page 482. Same article: With the development of the importance of the Sabbath as a day of consecration and the emphasis laid upon the significance of the number seven, the week became more and more divorced from its lunar connection...
@A Sojourner Why you keep bringing on Christianity? What does Christianity have to do with what I am saying??? Check the dates/events in the Torah!!! They will tell you that the calendar used today is WRONG! Period.
Seemingly incidental data in synoptic gospels show why the same evening meal could be considered a Passover Seder and the same day during the daylight hours thereof that followed about 18 hours later could be the time of the same day that the Passover lambs began to be slaughtered at about 3:00 o'clock in the afternoon, which would be the Ninth hour at which Jesus is said to have died. The data I refer to is Jesus commandment to 2 of his disciples to go into the city of Jerusalem and see a man bearing a pitcher of water and follow that man to the house he goes into and say to the goodman of that house, The Master saith, Where is the guest chamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples. Mark 14:13-14. The fact a man was bearing a pitcher of water indicates that the house he went to was connected with the Jewish sect known as the Essenes. The traditional site of the last supper is in the Essence quarter. There is debate whether John the Baptist himself was an Essene, but whether he was or not he practiced an acetic form of Judaism that was closer in many ways to the Essenes that to the Pharisees, even if there were significant differences. Essenes considered the Sadducees who controlled the Temple to be abominable and wished to have nothing to do with them. At that time the office of High Priest was conferred by the Romans on the highest bidder and was changed often to make more money for the Romans. Essenes has good reasons to find this scandalous. There is no reason to suppose that Essenes would accept the calculation of when the New Moon is celebrated for the month in which Passover occurs, or any other month, that was used for the killing of lambs in the Temple for Passover feasts. The New Moon was not on a fixed schedule, but was based on the observation of the New Moon by witnesses who would be either deemed credible or not. If the sky around Jerusalem were overclouded there either may have been no witnesses, or the witnesses who arrived may not have been consider credible. The Essenes would have had different people making decisions about the credibility of witnesses who reported to them the first day the New Moon was observed. This potential variability factor based on human decisions which is plainly present in the Hebrew Scriptures, would permit to different certifying panels to declare different days for the New Moon and the day for the Passover Seder is counted from the New Moon declared by whichever certifying body is authoritative for a specific community when all countries do not acknowledge the same certifying authority. The big surprise is that John rather that Matthew or Luke would be the one to go with the day of the month used by the Temple since most have though the sons of Zebedee had been disciples of John the Baptist who seems to have more in common with Essenes than other groups. Of course, if John the Baptist were not a card carrying Essene, he might have celebrated the New Moon when everyone else who was not Essene did. The few teachings of John the Baptist that are preserved in the gospels concentrate on fundamental morality rather than fine points of the Law. So it might not be strange that even if John had been a disciple of John the Baptist that he would accept the most generally accepted time for the Passover. Mark is different. He was almost undoubtedly an Essene. The Last Supper probably occurred in his house when he was a youth. He was probably with Jesus and the 12 at Gethsemane because I'm reporting what happened, Mark alone of the gospels mentions that when soldiers seized Jesus thar there was a youth whom a soldier also seized but the youth squirmed out out his garment and fled away naked into the night. This story has no theological significance and seems like something that would only be a big deal to the person who experienced it, who was probably Mark himself. The apostle John also remembers experiences vividly and records them. If John the apostle were a disciple of John the Baptist, then he personally heard John the Baptist call Jesus the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world. John simply noticed things of a spiritual nature which flew over the heads of other apostles at the time, including Simon Peter, who along with James were the three apostles to whom most was shown by Jesus. John seems to have been strongest in faith but Peter most inclined to action. Mark was set up to be a deeply religious young businessman before his course of life was upended by being intimately connected to Jesus' crucification, resurrection and the birth of the Church. That is why the Gospel of Mark is so heavily weighted on the end of Jesus ministry. That is the part that Mark was an actual witness to. That point of the Gospels is that they are written either by the eyewitness or based on conversations with eyewitnesses. That is why they have the marks of eyewitness accounts in that people notice different things and see the same things differently. Whether the Last Supper is regarded as a Passover Seder depends on through which lens of Judaism one is looking.
(John 1 29) the next day John sees Jesus coming to him and said behold the *lamb of Gd* who takes away the sin of the world this is he who i said "after me cometh a man" who is prefered before me for he was *before me* !
Jesus Was Crucified On The Day That Was " Customary Among The Jews , To Release A Prisoner". The Day Of Atonement. The Seder Supper Was The " Satyr Supper". Not A Lamb, But 2 Goats.
You say read it for yourself. Ok, the earliest-written gospel says in Mark 15:42 - “It was Preparation Day (that is, the day before the Sabbath.).” The latest- written gospel says in John 19:31 - “Now it was the day of Preparation, and the next day was to be a special Sabbath.” I see no contradiction. Much ado about nothing.
I wonder how Jesus saw himself in all this? A Lamb? Unfortunately John saw some mistakes and decided to rewrite it. Lucky he got to it before anyone noticed.
Any law which has no power to punish the breakers is a DEAD law. Same as 10 commandments. If 10 commandments still in operations, The punishment for the law breakers must be enforced too.

Didn't the Sadducees and Pharisees differ in when the Passover was celebrated? When John describes them avoiding ritual defilement so they could eat the Passover(John18:28), he was describing the Sadducean practice, not the Pharisean practice. Then as I kept repeating it he began to scream (for the gaurds who were his buddies for I found out about the 666 tattoo because he was telling a female gaurd about it and even said he would show her and it sounded like he did for she let out a "oh my God" type of proclamation while giggling?"
So as I was repeating this he was screaming, "Get me out of here!" Meaning, come get me out of this Cell away from me? And his screaming got louder and louder until gaurds was down his cell, mental health workers and they were all walking by me looking in awe into my Cell and the gaurds actually took him out of the Cell away from me and I stopped.
So what type of report you think was written for taking him out of the Cell? AND, a few weeks prior to this I told the prison Catholic Priest that I was thinking about becoming an Exorcist? Which he merely replied, "Don't" and walked away?
So although I understand the Torah laws of worshipping anyone but the God of Israel, I can't explain how the name Jesus had so much power?

Did every Jew in the first century agree on the calendar? It’s rhetorical. They didn’t.
Dates aside they are contradictory stories right?
But if you have sinned against a holy God, then you might want to take another look at Jesus.
so you agree that john was not written by John?

We need to know that passover is not one meal but week long celebration and in fact that's how john use it throughout his gospel.
John 2:13,John 6:4,John 11:55
Some quote john 18:28 that it refers in initial passover meal but it is unlikely because if you read leviticus 15:5-11 gave the stipulations that defilement occurs during day and hours and would expire during sunset which is the initial of the passover meal beguin. John 19 :14 talk about the passover week rather than the passover meal .the greek word for day of preparation is used to describe Friday for the sabbath which is Saturday.
Matthew 27:62,Mark 15:42,Luke 23:54,Didache 8:1,And martyrdoms of polycarp 7:1
So john is in agreement with the synoptic gospels
And not at all in john 13:29 the word feast in the greek refer to passover week used elsewhere in the synoptic. And by the way harm giving was doing in first night Mishnah pesachim 10:1.
And you are wrong about the authorship of john 1:14, john 1:6-7 they are eyewitnesses testimony and we have also the Traditions that told us who wrote them (St papias , St polycarp etc...)

There is no contradiction in the Gospels.
All four Gospels say that Jesus was crucified on the Preparation of the Passover.
The Last Supper, therefore, was not the Passover Seder.
HOW COULD SUCH AN EDUCATED "EXPERT" MISS THIS?
Matthew 27:59-62
59 "And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth,
60 And laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed.
61 And there was Mary Magdalene, and the other Mary, sitting over against the sepulchre.
62 Now the next day, that followed the day of the PREPARATION, the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate,"
Mark 15:42-44
42 "And now when the even was come, because it was the PREPARATION, that is, the day before the sabbath,
43 Joseph of Arimathaea, an honourable counsellor, which also waited for the kingdom of God, came, and went in boldly unto Pilate, and craved the body of Jesus.
44 And Pilate marvelled if he were already dead: and calling unto him the centurion, he asked him whether he had been any while dead."
Luke 23:52-54
52 "This man went unto Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus.
53 And he took it down, and wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a sepulchre that was hewn in stone, wherein never man before was laid.
54 And that day was the PREPARATION, and the sabbath drew on."
John 19:31 - "The Jews therefore, because it was the PREPARATION, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away."
If you researched other early Christian documents you'll find the "Day of Preparation" was actually Friday.
Later in the chapter, it refers to these holy days as "Sabbaths."
And Christ is called "Our Passover" in I Corinthians. He is called the Lamb of God in John.
He died around 3:00 in the afternoon on the Preparation of the Passover. This is the prescribed date and time that the Passover lamb was to be killed.
The thing is the dates differ because according the TORAH the 14TH DAY IS the first day of Passover. According to rabbinical teachings it’s the 15th .

I wouldn’t put it past them.
In any event the consequence was definitely , as you say . Jews in the middle ages had to wear a yellow ( fake gold colour)round badge , as reminder of them selling out in their messiah. The nazis also forced the Jews to wear the yellow badge.

These abhorrent doctrines, when labelled “ Bible “, caused people to turn away even from the true Scriptures; and they use this as an excuse to close their eyes to the evidence of a creator which the unbiased mind is capable of seeing.
well stated!
Gospels are not perfectly preserved book of God.
Jesus never claimed that he was God Or his begotten son. There is one verse in Gospel of look chapter 18,18"
18 And a certain ruler asked him, saying:
Good master, what shall I do to possess everlasting life?
19 And Jesus said to him: Why dost thou call
me good? None is good but God alone."
This clearly indicates that at time of Jesus he didn't claimed to be a God rather he was prophet. There is also one verse in Gospel where Jesus said he himself know not time of hour( resurrection)

@A Sojourner i don’t think you even understood what I wrote.
Same article:
With the development of the importance of the Sabbath as a day of consecration and the emphasis laid upon the significance of the number seven, the week became more and more divorced from its lunar connection...

The gospels are full of contradictions and false prophecies
2,000 years later and Jesus still has the Jews scrambling. You hate to see it really.
Peace and love..
Thank you . This is great.
Any law which has no power to punish the breakers is a DEAD law.
Same as 10 commandments.
If 10 commandments still in operations,
The punishment for the law breakers must be enforced too.
Amazing revelation from Rabbi Tovia and Jewish perspective, Christianity is now weakening while Judaism is standing strong.
