I agree I watch every video. As a hometown boy from Orlando living in Miami this train will allow me to go home without wear and tear on my car. I can just chill or nap while on the train.
This job was simultaneously the most exciting and stressful construction contract that I've ever been a part of. Thank you for covering it so well! I work next to it every day but because I still have to work I'm not able to fully appreciate the fruits of my labor as shown in this video
I was on the mechanical side of this until retiring last year. I will second that sentiment: It is gratifying to see it all come together so close to the finish line.
Amazing that I began watching these videos in mid-2021. I don’t even think the Cocoa tunnel was finished at that point. Historic milestone right here. Just hope the grand opening of the line is a day I can fly in from California to see!
47 years ago the Inter City 125 became the fastest diesel passenger train in the world, clocking 148mph in testing. Those Paxman Valenta engines sounded superb throbbing and screaming...scary actually. I wonder if the Chargers can do this today ? Super happy for Brightline and your coverage, these marvelous trains will be passing my back yard soon. It made my expat heart so happy to see them on test on our stretch of track late last year.
I have been keeping up with this project for almost four years now, back when they were called Virgin Trains USA. So excited to see the Orlando Line go through high-speed testing and I cannot wait to use it as part of a trip to visit Orlando and Miami later this year!
You deserve an award for your extremely comprehensive coverage of the construction of the new line. I’m looking forward to your Orlando to Tampa extension coverage.
The final scene at sunset appropriate as the planning and construction phases nearing the end. Looking forward to a "sunrise scene" for the opening of the operating phase of a whole new Era of passenger rail!
The shot of Bright Green with the sunset in the background should be used by Brightline! Love the "smoke" coming from the train...almost steam engine-esc.
Nice presentation! I was watching a Trains Magazine video earlier provided by Brightline that apparently uses some of your footage. It was uncredited but I knew I recognized your style. It's very exciting to see this project reach its fruition. I can't wait to ride!
Brightline is beautiful as ever !! I'm sure the motorist on the roadway seeing the train fly past, must be wondering there must be a better way to travel LOL And Brightline is it !! Great video and love the ground level shots with the dust flying.
If this route proves to be profitable (which it and the Vegas route will be) I hope this will re-pique interest in passenger rail! Thank you for this great video! Any launch date for the Orlando line from Brightline?
I have no doubt that Brightline service will become a huge success because the public wants speed and safety now. It has been a long time coming. Other rail corridors need this type of passenger service.
First time I'm commenting on one of these videos- I have been watching since 2021 and to see a rail project rise from the ground like this is amazing. Thank you for the constant updates and excellent journalism and railfan photography.
What an exciting and pleasant surprise that they are up and running so soon, Gigantic cudo to Brightline for taking the huge financial risk to do this wonderful project, I hope they make millions! THANK YOU FOR THE FANTASTIC COVERAGE OF THIS PROJECT !!!
This video gave me goosebumps on top of goosebumps. Your work is light years beyond everyone else, especially with your insider access. Pretty awesome to get that kind of recognition! YOU DESERVE IT! All the best my friend!❤
This must have been exciting as they went top speed for the first time! I hope they let you take video from inside the train as it hits thos high speeds!
can not wait until this opens and it is very strange having such short trains - in the UK when they upgraded the West Coast Main Line and trains they had to order more trains and coaches because so many people started using the service
Some really good videos! It’s been great watching all the videos you have produced as Brightline has come to life and expanded. Now, if we can just get Amtrak up to speed from NY to Miami!
I lived in Ft. Pierce years ago and visited 2 weeks ago. There was some work going on with crossing tenders still at all the crossings. It will be cool to see the trains run through town. It will be even cooler if Brightline eventually schedules a few trains to stop in Stuart, Vero, or Ft. Pierce. (Maybe that will mean not every town on every train in order to keep schedules going.) I live up in Massachusetts now and appreciate our regional commuter rail and Acela service to NYC and DC. Brightline service extension to Orlando will serve Florida well.
Amazing shots cant wait to ride on the brightline from miami to Orlando.also when will the TRI-RAIL commuter train will start running to the downtown miami-link?
1. Probably somewhere around 30-45 minutes to Cocoa but from Orlando to the first station, which is in West Palm Beach, is about 2 hours. 2. Only a single track is necessary for their planed schedules but it is built with future double tracking in mind.
This is super exciting. I don't plan to visit Florida anytime soon, but it'll be nice to have easy access to the Palm beach area by train from the airport. Like NYC or Minneapolis or DC. Trains make getting to and away from the airport so much easier.
The chances of ever being able to electrify the part of the route it shares with a freight railroad from Cocoa to Miami is slim to none plus it probably saves them a few billion dollars in added cost.
Will the cloud of dust that the train kicks up eventually taper off? It's a new rail bed. Also very dry rn. Very excited for the progress. Love the sound of the trains in north miami
Always a good sign when a train is outrunning cars on the freeway.
I agree. So far brightline is making great progress as the only rail to make high speed rail a reality.
This is so beautiful. Welcome to the 21st century Florida!
Outstanding content man!
Thank you!!

@@RoamingRailfan Agree. This is where I come for the train updates. Do you work for Brightline or Florida Transportation ?
I do not work for Brightline
Really nice drone work.
At 73, there's very little that excites me anymore, however, I am extremely excited about Brightline. Great job Brightline!!!

Thanks for the coverage Austin. Everybody covered the 130 mph run today, but as always, your video is the best!
Yes, the Roaming Railfan's coverage of this project has been informative, authoritative, and consistent; well done.
I find it very cool how it sounds just like the ACS-64’s when they’re at their top speed on the Northeast Corridor
The cabs are very identical to the ACS-64!
I had the same thought!
Amazing that I began watching these videos in mid-2021. I don’t even think the Cocoa tunnel was finished at that point.
Historic milestone right here. Just hope the grand opening of the line is a day I can fly in from California to see!
Yep lots of us must have started with the slip-in tunnel under 528. Was epic.
We were all confused when they threw a giant concrete tube on the ground and started piling dirt on it, lol.
@@FloridaMugwump Civil engineers have lots of tricks up their sleeves these days, that the public rarely get to hear about.

I got goose bumps seeing this, it's bitter sweet that we the USA are just now experiencing an actual high speed train IN 2023!
I have been keeping up with this project for almost four years now, back when they were called Virgin Trains USA. So excited to see the Orlando Line go through high-speed testing and I cannot wait to use it as part of a trip to visit Orlando and Miami later this year!
This is amazing. Now I can't wait for the Tampa line to eventually operate and hopefully also continue to inspire more routes throughout the US.
You deserve an award for your extremely comprehensive coverage of the construction of the new line. I’m looking forward to your Orlando to Tampa extension coverage.
All the hard work for all your videos is very much appreciated.
Very exciting. Thank you so much for your years of dedication in documenting this landmark railroad.
I just love the “aircraft”/“Indy-500” sounds!! Very nice photography- you should make Brightline pay for a faster drone!!
Its already faster than the drone they were using!
@@RoamingRailfan 😅😅😅
Bro the train is leaving dust behind jeez!!!!!! 😮 I can’t wait for the new Orlando line to open up so I can go that fast!!!
Nobody has covered Brightline better than you have! (and others do pop up, but none near as professional.)
Fantastic camera work it’s both cool and weird seeing a high speed train all the way down here in Florida
The final scene at sunset appropriate as the planning and construction phases nearing the end. Looking forward to a "sunrise scene" for the opening of the operating phase of a whole new Era of passenger rail!
I too thought the sunset scene was amazing.
We need this all over the country. Heck wouldn’t it be great to have this type of transport from Canada to the Patagonia!
Best UA-cam uploads around for those of us who love Brightline and passenger train service.
The shot of Bright Green with the sunset in the background should be used by Brightline! Love the "smoke" coming from the train...almost steam engine-esc.
From start to finish your Brightline video Chronology is amazing, thank you!
Many years ago, in RR terminology, they would call this an "air line"
Nice presentation! I was watching a Trains Magazine video earlier provided by Brightline that apparently uses some of your footage. It was uncredited but I knew I recognized your style. It's very exciting to see this project reach its fruition. I can't wait to ride!
Somme pretty incredible stuff to see happen. From creation to reality, shows what can happen when it gets done right.
Brightline is beautiful as ever !! I'm sure the motorist on the roadway seeing the train fly past, must be wondering there must be a better way to travel LOL And Brightline is it !! Great video and love the ground level shots with the dust flying.
Cool! Serious acceleration is right!
If this route proves to be profitable (which it and the Vegas route will be) I hope this will re-pique interest in passenger rail! Thank you for this great video! Any launch date for the Orlando line from Brightline?
Later this year!
Great overhead shot backing out wide of that 130mph pass.
I know it was the natural order of things but you definitely saved the best shot for last. Excellent work as always.
Spectacular!
Great video of the Brightline….👍👍👍👏😎
Thanks for doing such a great video to document this important event! The last shot is spectacular!
Beautiful New train . . . !😁
Outstanding video with commentary. This is a very exciting time for railway transportation in Florida.
47 miles between Cocoa and Orlando in 25 minutes....nice.
I have no doubt that Brightline service will become a huge success because the public wants speed and safety now. It has been a long time coming. Other rail corridors need this
type of passenger service.
Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not a dream anymore.
Dang that's cool! Could you imagine if we had a network of these across the US?!
Gotta start small and build up to it. It's like the analogy about eating an elephant; One bite at a time.
Well done! I wish them complete success!!!
Wow! This is going to be something special when these trains start running! Your channel is so good.
Beautiful to see
Truly exciting. Yet another great video documenting this historical advancement in transportation.
Good video, excited to see it fully operational 👍

Great to see this!
ITS HAPPENING
This is amazing can’t wait until they make a station in Tampa definitely want to experience riding the bright line
Awesome drone footage and great installment of the progress!!!

The chargers sound amazing at 125!
You know a train is going fast when it picks up dusts after it passes by
Another excellent video! Really exciting seeing the train scoot along at 125.
This video gave me goosebumps on top of goosebumps. Your work is light years beyond everyone else, especially with your insider access. Pretty awesome to get that kind of recognition! YOU DESERVE IT! All the best my friend!❤
This is exciting!
Looks like provision is made for future double tracking.
So surreal to see Brightline trains finally running on this strea h of track. Almost don’t look real
Thanks for covering this historical moment.
This must have been exciting as they went top speed for the first time!

can not wait until this opens and it is very strange having such short trains - in the UK when they upgraded the West Coast Main Line and trains they had to order more trains and coaches because so many people started using the service
The platforms are setup for longer trains and they will likely expand the trains after they start service as demand allows
The acceleration is insane!
¡Bravo, muy interesante video! Gracias.
Looking good, keep it coming. Exciting to see.
Bro you gotta move to the west coast when Brightline gets going the with the construction of Birghtline West soon ;)
Haven't even made it through the whole video yet but I love the shot starting at 0:49
thanks Austin for all your updates.
You've provided excellent coverage of the construction process! Can we look forward to a trip report once the line opens?
I'll leave that to other UA-camrs as trip reports aren't really my style. I'll probably do a video to wrap up the whole project though.
Some really good videos! It’s been great watching all the videos you have produced as Brightline has come to life and expanded. Now, if we can just get Amtrak up to speed from NY to Miami!
Good luck Brightline for test train on Orlando Airport!
Very nice!
Nice shot of the sunset at the end of the video
It feels like the Siemens Charger is at its best.If I remember correctly, it can reach 125MPH.I've heard that it's a monster-class locomotive.
What a great video.!

Good luck brightline test train for Orlando Florida
Sounds cool
My commute on Pittsburgh's Light Rail system sports an average speed of 17mph.
So excited for this even tho I do not live in Florida
Was waiting for this...
Amazing shots cant wait to ride on the brightline from miami to Orlando.also when will the TRI-RAIL commuter train will start running to the downtown miami-link?
I'm close to Tampa, so looking forward to that connection.
Im glad 🙂 that bright line has ran their first main line train 🚂 in Florida
Brightline might as well hire you on as the company historian at this point.
All I can say is yes…. Go Brightline
You could call me a roaming railfan rail fan
That Train was zooming.
Brightline will be the fastest train in the southeast!
2 questions:
1. How long will the trip be between Orlando and Cocoa?
2. Why is there only a single track?
1. Probably somewhere around 30-45 minutes to Cocoa but from Orlando to the first station, which is in West Palm Beach, is about 2 hours.
2. Only a single track is necessary for their planed schedules but it is built with future double tracking in mind.

cool video this is my first time seeing this train to 125mph
A great video. Is there a practical reason for not electrifying this track? To a European, it is odd to see a new fast diesel train track.
The chances of ever being able to electrify the part of the route it shares with a freight railroad from Cocoa to Miami is slim to none plus it probably saves them a few billion dollars in added cost.
I’m excited to take this ride from Orlando to Miami. Hoping the train can go more faster to reaching Miami in 2 hours from Orlando
it will be a great day when a 125 mph train connects tampa to orlando, and on to miami!
How is the power supplied to the train? I don't see an overhead line or a power rail.
It’s powered by biodiesel
Ah, ok, thank you for clarifying.
Will the cloud of dust that the train kicks up eventually taper off? It's a new rail bed. Also very dry rn.
Very excited for the progress. Love the sound of the trains in north miami
Yes, the dust will disappear as more trains run and the tracks get some rain
Id really like to see what these things can do speed wise maxed out
So fast! 😂
