I’m glad you’re doing it because I don’t have a polisher and I live in an apartment. I have a brand new 2022 Honda Civic and I don’t wanna go through all that..lol
I've done this on 2 honda accords that were brand new. All I did was prep the paint and apply it. It works just fine. Plus the customers get a cheaper price and I then turn them into maintenance clients. Win win
I just did the same thing with testla. But I a quick polish. And put technician ceramic coating. I can do several cars with that bottle. And yes I did it to help me maintain the car. Most customers have mo Idea what we are talking about.
I am not the only one that has customers that do not want their car polished? Cool. So, I do the wash, the clay, and then apply Polish Angel Escalate Lotion to clean the paint. I might do light paint polishing by hand if the paint is really scratched (like the door handles, gas filler area, and places like that), and then I do a panel wipe. Lastly, I apply the paint protection that the customer has chosen (sealant, coating, wax). So, I am interested to see how this experiment works. This is a good video, and I am curious about the findings.
LOL, Luke. Great intro and if the client isn't too concerned about the paint because they feel it's good, but interested in a coating, why not offer that to them?
Luke, I have a question for you. You like to use various products on various vehicles for different customers. My question is can you compare the Naisol you like to the Avalon King? Likes? Dislikes? What is your favorite of the two or the many you have tried? I am just curious and not judging, but like you, I also like to learn and get other's opinions.
As an elite detailing professional who only does $2,000 plus coating installs. I recommend everyone save their money and time by buying Feynlab Ceramic Lite instead. $40 for 30 ml, you can apply to every surface same as this one. But you can actually apply the whole vehicle before doing any buffing. I like to apply the whole vehicle, go to lunch and come back and wipe it clear. It eats Avalon King for breakfast.
Hey man! What do you do about warrantys on your ceramic coatings? Are you an accredited applicator for all the coatings you use or do you just warrant them yourself.
Did anyone notice how the name on the wash was turned to face the camera? Avalon King! Yes we saw it Luke. Also the t shirt and where we can purchase these AK products.
AK leveraged UA-camrs and it’s working for sales. With that said lots of feedback from users I s it works well. For the price it’s a good option to try for ourselves.
So what you’re saying is maintenance details wash and vac‘s are a waste of time and money? if so I should get rid of those packages from my detailing and just focusing on three higher end packages and make more money that way.
Hi Dear Luke , a little question after you apply a ceramic coating do you wax the cars to maintain or you use the ceramic liquid wax like from meguiars . can you use regular waxes or polish+wax after a ceramic coating for maintenance
Polish will knock some of the ceramic down. There is ceramic specific products designed to maintain a coating. Please do some extensive research! Would hate for you to damage a really expensive job, if it was done professional and even if you it was DIY project!
Ed, applying simple spray sealants after a ceramic coated car is cleaned and washed will be more than enough assuming that this is a vehicle that you see on some sort of a regular basis. Don't overthink maintaining ceramics, if you do, in some ways it can defeat the purpose of the ceramic in the first place
Depending on vehicle and finantial situation. For example if its a toyota corolla that the customer plans to simply use as a commuter and doesnt care about the condition of the paint then theres not really any reason for the coating
Depends, I actually didn't even charge a full $1000 for this situation, that is one of the beauties of this situation. The customer puts certain constraints on what he wants, and you can simplify things to fit the situation assuming the customer understands the nature of the beast.
A $1000?. he didn't even paint correct, he just did a 300$ job 🤣.. if I was a customer i would be pissed to find out he that he clayed my car and not paint correct it before applying a ceramic coating. Ceramic coats is supposed to give you that glass finished look that last a long time.. who wants swirls in their glass finished look?
I partnered with avalon king last month as well as this month for this video. Though I would challenge the binary way you presented the question, either it's honest, or it's sponsored. This video represents the exact situation of when, where, why I would use this coating
@@wilsonautodetailing thanks for your reply Luke. I've looked into this coating. And I'm just trying to find an unbiased opinion on it. I respect your opinion on products. and you're right, if you honestly like the product. It doesn't matter if they sponsor the video.
@@jmmustangs3078 I'll say this, alot of detailers on UA-cam are getting so popular that they attract companies that will pay them to use their products! I liked it before. When you got someone's opinion without them getting paid for it.
The companies took over utube. They are highly aggressive, imposing, ready to sue and worst of all, give a sample bottle for all the hard work you do. Tech's choice ceramic has been around for years and one bottle can coat three cars. Why not promote that if you care for your viewers.
😂 people don’t understand. All you have to do is setup expectations when you aren’t doing a paint correction & if a customer is ok with all that then there’s no “con” or “scam”.
Well of course it's not in perfect condition meaning there are absolutely zero imperfections, the point is the condition of the paint in this situation is not a hinderance to the coating. And yes, it is in very very good condition
The original way to apply this is to bake it under Heat lamps (not cheap) and the time it takes to completely seal an entire car. Plus the legit coatings are expensive to make. Sad to see such detailer focus more on business profitability instead of quality... one day this model is going to crash when customer start to gain more knowledge about the process of car detailing and realise what he does is somewhat not as high quality as they paid for.
Agree... i had my car "detailed" and it was just filled 4 months later was everything the same, now i do it my own , the " detailer" said that i probably wash to much ... i use two bucket metod always and prewash and foam ..
