- 2014 Nissan Frontier Pro-4x lifted rock crawling near Apex/Nellis Dunes Las Vegas NV at a wash we found while exploring.
35" Pro Comp Xtreme MT 2 tires on the truck.
Really good throttle control the whole way. Definitely an experienced driver.
Awesome! Not just for show, proven to go! Driver was cool and calm tackling this!
love frontiers, titans and armadas.. all are great trucks.. i got a armada offroad. looking to pay it off sell it then get a titan pro 4x in the near future
I love nissan frontier sv
Love to see Nissan content! Hope to get my X back on the trails this year and add some more if this Corona crap would go away so I can get back to the States.
Can I get some info on your specs?
I have stock frontier pro4x and im in vegas
+1
I'm about to get one too, here in Vegas as well, let's offroad
This video is 6 years old so this is probably a dumb question but, if you still have the vehicle, how well has the front end held up with those 35’and the weight of the bumper and winch.
I want to get into off roading. Do I need to hang my arm or body out of the window when I start? or is this an advanced skill?
Hahaha
Sean is an advanced skill. lol
@@metalgwar3301 like my wife you also like to see
I like music but thanks for making this video without music. I'd rather listen to the truck working.
There's nothing wrong with using a spotter but thanks for making a video where there is only one spotter.
The driver's skills are even more impressive than the vehicle--and that's saying a lot!
I'd be interested in your opinion about how much damage to the vehicle would occur if that same driver were to attempt that same route in a stock-height PRO-4X with rocker panel protection ("sliders"?) and strong steel bumpers front and rear.
Would the stock PRO-4X do better than a stock base model TJ?
a stock anything frontier would be beat to hell on that trail. so little underbody clearance. don't know about the TJ sorry.
I just got a new frontier love it
Thinking about buying a 2015 Frontier pro 4x4 with locking rear diff. This made me want to even more
thanks for watching!
I have a 2015 Pro4X and wheel it at Rausch Creek with only a 3" BL so far. Need to save more $$ for a SL, wheels and tires.
nice trucks I've been watching your videos I have a 2007 frontier 3in fabtech lift on 33 with fuels😀
sweet video and truck. place looks awesome
Does the lift use different knuckles? Does the lift in the truck affect the steering radius? I've been looking for info on reducing the turning radius of my frontier...
Cool Rig!!!
frios011 Thanks
What lift did you use I can't find a lift for the pro 4x
he used a 5" calmini bracket lift and custom leaf springs.
I have a Nissan Frontier and was wanting a front bumper like the one on that frontier, who makes it?
Shrock front winch bumper
Damn do I want your truck.
What winch did you go with and was it just bolt on or did you have to add anything to get it together
Ehh really wish I can get into building for off road, going stock is ok but doing more so fun
I have an Xterra pro-4x, every time I try to find a lift everything says not for the pro-4x. What kind of lift do you have there?
He has a Calmini 5 inch bracket lift.
well that place looks like fun
Michael Arnold it is pretty intense!
Michael Arnold Definitely fun! We'll have to get back out there. There are some other fun areas that are a bit lower on the rashability scale : )
Beautiful
Poor camera man, he is walking all the time hahahah
Daniel Barrios
Probly super sun burnt and sores all over his feet lol
I never get to ride on these rock crawling trails..lol
Lmao
Do you have a video or a list of all the modifications you’ve done to this truck?
here ya go www.clubfrontier.org/forums/f103/nomad-s-next-generation-113473/
MetalGwar fantastic! Thanks for the quick response, how is the truck doing these days?
he is still trail riding as often as his job allows!
I noticed its a Drop Bracket. I am wanting to lift my Frontier but haven't even looked into a DB. Was looking into doing some extended Bilsteins or Radflos. Any reason or benefit in going with the DB?
lack of choice mostly. there are so few mods for the frontiers
awesome!!!
What winch are you running in that thing? And is there any advice on install you would have to make it easier?
Smittybilt X2O 10k comp winch. Pretty easy install with most winch ready bumpers. With wireless controllers its just 2 big cables to the battery and you're pretty much good to go.
Sick
How dose it ride on the road with the front sway bar.
also i have a 2016 with the 5 inch mine was the 17500 without the coil overs and my diff just sits so much lower then yours dose.... my control arms are Parallel to the ground when yours are angled up I don't understand why mine sits like that i gained no clearance at all.
You actually lose some clearance when you add the bracket lift unless you add the coilovers to get more preload/lift. Mine is also Titan swapped so it's got over 14" of clearance under the front bracket/skid.
Rides great on the road without the sway bar, but again, I can remove it because i have the coilovers. I would NOT remove the sway bar with a truck that sits that high with stock shocks on it. The stock shocks just don't have enough valving and the springs don't have enough tension in them to hold the front end up with that much side load on them when corning in a lifted truck.
boxed lower control arms ????
I don't do social media. How can I link up with you guys on a run. Just across the street in phoenix
what type of exhaust do you have on your truck?
do you have spacers in the back?
Yo! Where did you get that front bumper. I've been looking around and I like that setup.
I believe it's an arb bumper
It's a shrock works.
It looks like the ARB® - Deluxe Full Width Black Powder Coat Front Winch HD Bumper with Grille Guard (www.carid.com/2019-nissan-frontier-off-road-bumpers/arb-deluxe-full-width-front-hd-winch-bumper-with-grille-guard-716929840.html )
Lifted or titan swap? I'm just curious as to weather I need the titan swap for trail riding.
he has both a Titan swap and a bracket lift.
What kind of lift is on this truck?
Calmini 5 inch bracket lift
Auto or manual?
auto
What front bumper do you have on? Also what fender liners do you have?
Appears to be a Shrockworks bumper.
Yes, it's a Shrock front bumper with modified factory fender liners.
Damn that's one good looking frontier wat size tires are they
those are 35s!
Do you have that frontier titan swapped
yes he is swapped
Did your rear bumper come painted
The Pro4X comes with a color matched rear bumper, not chrome.
What kind of bumper? Btw i live in vegas
Shrockworks
How does this lift kit hold up.
I don't think i've ever seen him have a problem with it.
Just out of curiosity what's all done go the frontier?

What lift does he have all around ?
5 inch calmini drop bracket and maybe a couple more from the Titan swap parts .
is there a swaybar on the front end?
no he removed that, it has one on the rear I believe.
The traction :0
what rims are those?
+shylildude 16x8.5 Level 8 Bully Pros
What bumper and grill cover is that?
Shrock front winch bumper
what kind of bumper you have on the front
Shrockworks
How is that cb antenna mounted? I need a mount like that
www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000X3EQ3G/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
What is the lift?
5" calmini bracket lift
Great video, but why are you hanging out of your truck to drive? Looks unprofessional and dangerous..
All do respect you don’t hang out to see where you are going. People have died doing that. Keep your body in at all times and you should be looking ahead for your line. Rock crawling is a wonderful sport/Hobby whatever but please please don’t hang out. Granted nothing in this video was remotely difficult its just a bad habit to get into. Nice ride for a Nissan seems to work well still being IFS.
Procomp tires ???
at the time yes
What size light bar is that?
he said it was a 30" ebay special. :)
MetalGwar nice! I just put a 21” light bar ( nilight brand ) on my Pro4X. I kinda wished I went a little bigger. Thanks for responding 👍🏻
Not bad for a Nissan
I can’t stand the new frontiers, I don’t like there look that much, inside or out. The turning radius is absolute crap. Like that’s my number one con. How can you have such a bad turning radius??? At work we have a 4cylinder 2wd Nissan Frontier that can’t turn for crap. What’s blocking the tires from turning??? I’ve had a narrower 93 Nissan hardbody that turned great, a 95 and 2002 f150 that turns narrower and a ford ranger that turned narrower. So it’s not because of the trucks size, or engine size. Whoever designed it fucked up. What would be a simple parking job, now takes 3+ maneuvers. And good luck with a quick u turn, when you have to put it in reverse when your in the middle of the road to make some more room. That’s my only cons, and I wish they would make a new generation already, I’m sick of the current look. I also had a 2001 frontier that turned tighter than the new ones, and that thing had tires too big for the truck.
