@@BlindmanOutdoors yes please! Ill look for the old one and also can you do smaller sizes molle panel like below the window and just the 60% side? I still have my jump seat and my rear view mirror. Would love to see a video on the molle panels and would love to see you start offering them on your site :-)
@@Bikepro4x its coming, if we slow down with camper builds this fall we should be able to offer some more cool parts and get our store back up! I can do a video on molle for sure!
Great video on the truck. Nissans are starting to get some attention as people are realizing they are a solid reliable vehicle. It is kind of odd when people do walk arounds on a truck and apologize for it being dirty. You showed what looked like a magnet that’s used to hold electronics in the cab but I don’t think you mentioned the brand. Didn’t see it in the description. I’ve been looking for something for my truck. The brands I’ve purchased don’t stick to my dash for some reason. The texture of the plastic I guess.
I love that the ZR2 comes with front n rear lockers, because it's kind of like an insurance. But I haven't done anything yet that has required them either. I thought about downsizing to a 16" rim, but I need to put that money in other aspects of my build. But if/when I do get new rims, they'll be 16s. I just put some 32" mickey Thompsons on so I won't need new rubber for a few years. The duratracs that came on the truck were great tires, but only 4 ply so I wouldn't air down lower than 20 psi with them, though. The baja boss a/t is 11 ply, so I can go down to 12 psi comfortably now. Everything else is an constanly evolving maze of organized chaos lol. We finally got our full truck bed tent with suv tent annex set-up all in use, and came out of the weekend looking for a roof top tent to speed up the set-up/pack up times.
VERY interesting to hear a serious off-roader eschew lockers. I had locking diffs in my previous Jeep, and did a fair amount of rock crawling, so they were definitely needed. But now that I'm looking for a new truck for general exploring/camping, maybe i don't need a Pro-4X... could really save some money for the build going with a used SV.
I think they are needed at a certain point, I would actually like to have a locker but with my rig being more of a 4x4 touring rig with really good off road performance I just havent needed them... yet lol i have relied mainly on pocking a good line and just driving skill lol but there have been times where having one would have been nice.
Cool truck. Recently got 23' pro 4x, mostly love it. Best truck I could have got for the money. Didn't have to wait for it, no absurd dealer mark-up, in fact got about 3k off. And perhaps the last "simple" truck made by any manufacturer. Added a lift, tires, etc.
my dad's first adventure vehicle was a 2005 Toyota Matrix XRS (he still has it) now we drive around in a 2018 Nissan Frontier just like Uncle Dave's. I hope dad buys a cool camper!
I LIKE IT !!! Clearly you have spent a lot of time finetuning your truck and all the accessories. We are running a 3rd gen Ranger with an Aluminum Flat deck and Four wheel Pop up Camper. But there are some things I would like to change. Can we pop by sometime or meet up? Would love to discuss. We wont make the AOA expo as we have other commitments in September. We are local here in Sylvan Lake. Roland & Ruth Aka RnR
Honestly i found your channel when looking to do a Frontier overland build and just going through some of the stuff including the price of the truck before the camper, so truck, suspension, bumpers winch under body protection, tires and wheels. not even top of the line stuff was $40,000 and thats a 14-16k camper, building a nissan frontier as of right now in the US is probably closer to 60k once you have EVERYTHING you need/want, med supplies, fridge/cooler, tools, camper, etc like 100% ready to go full send. Which isnt bad for a fully built ready to go thing but its still like a lot more then you've rated your truck at, at the moment
Roughly, probably closer to 45 with general maintenance and repairs and not including camping chairs and other general camping gear, I got a great deal on the truck about 4 years ago at only 13 grand
Great to see content on the Frontier. It’s such a great platform for those who want to go JDM but not pay the “Toyota Tax”
A pig on fuel is an understatement, but an absolute bulletproof drivetrain and overall tough truck.
Agree on all counts
We need a video on that onboard air system.
There's an old one down in the video history but maybe we should do a 2 year review on it!

@@BlindmanOutdoors that would be rad! I’m totally interested in buying one
Sweet setup, the camper is really well laid out. I'm still slowly building mine so it's great seeing the build ideas out there.
Thanks Carlos, good luck on the build

Seems like each and every build is a constantly evolving creature haha

I have a sv too I ended up going with a arb locker I have rarely needed it but it definitely is a peace of mind lol

Well one day maybe he will, and if not there's plenty of awesome other ways to camp too!

Sweet setup, curioua who is the "we" I've only ever seen you on here
Lol great question, so technically Tyler is the other half of Blindman Overland, but I use we generally to include Zeus and the audience.
