After watching this, I’m so ready to book a flight. Thanks for sharing your town to more people such as myself, Adam and Jonathan. God DAMN the food there looks so good.

It's awesome to see Mexican culture recognized in Chicago a lot more these last few decades. Usually when people think of Chicago they picture Irish, Eastern European, and African-American. I may live outside the city limits now, but I'm close enough to Blue Island so I can still enjoy some great Mexican food. Man do I miss the ladies selling bags of tamales on street corners though.

As a Chicago taco connoisseur, I can absolutely agree with your list. I would say La Chapparita serves my favorite tacos in the city ala Mexico City style. The tripa doradita and suadero are definitely goated. Birrieria Zaragoza is a legit spot as well, although I don't believe I've had their cabeza tacos. I do enjoy La Internacional for their portion sizes, but aside from that it is pretty standard. Carnitas Uruapan is a well known spot, but I always prefer to hit their competitor in Pilsen, Don Pedro's, since I know the owner. Shoutout to Magdalena! Honorable mention to Los Altos de Jalisco for their cachete and cabeza, and Minna's Restaurant for their homemade masa and delicious food. Plenty of good spots in the suburbs too!

Nice to see southwest side chicago food content since most stuff is on the Northside or Downtown. If you guys do this again, maybe take a look at La Iguanita on Kedzie and Paco's Tacos on Archer.
La Iguanita is cash only but damn it slaps. Paco's Tacos is probably the priciest tacos but they load that thing up.

El Milagro is the Heavyweight Champion of tortillas in the Chicago area. By far. Their corn tortillas are the peak quality for store bought tortillas. Flour is really good too, flour in general isn't my thing though. Everywhere I go they have a huge designated area to stock and sell out so fast. So cheap for the quality too

I am born and raised in Chicago. I've been to Birreria Zaragoza, it is delicious. It reminded me of the only Birreria in Chicago back in the 80's called Huetlutlan on North Ave. I am also very familiar with Carnitas Urapan. My dad, mom and sister lived down the street when they first came to the US. My dad was visiting a few years ago before he passed and was filmed talking to El Guero the OG owner for Aaron Sanchez's show. Chaparita is also delicious and so fresh. El Milagro was my go to pregnancy food when I was pregers with my oldest son 25 years ago. For what ever reason with my second son it was a Atotonilco's liquado de fresa and taco the chile relleno and Ruby's mole tacos for me. At the Garra of Maxwell Street. The owner told me that if I kept eating so much my son would be really big. He's 18 now and is 6'3 and 180lbs. Both my son's are tall thanks to all the food in Chicago.
