CW is going the way of the Dodo. They pretty much cancelled every show their known for at this point. Star Girl will be next after this season. Superman and Lois might as well just become a HBO Max show and leave the CW.
@@tonymcneill7779 Honestly I hope that stargirl moves to HBO Max along with Superman and Lois. The Flash will be the last arrowverse show and that has already been renewed for a season 9 and (potentially) a season 10 but who knows at this point.
I also have a feeling that Vee doesn't realize that Bluebird *is* Harper Row ^^' I really like her and her brother in the comics, even the recent one where she's facing off against Punchline (it makes for a nice Batman's sidekick vs Joker's sidekick; plus my boy Cullen finally gets a real role instead of being the background gay dude... why make him trans in the show, though?). I'm just a bit butthurt that Vee didn't show any footage of the *Arrowverse* Stephanie Brown/Spoiler/Batgirl/Robin/etc... In a second season that was only saved by it's cool villains (with Black Mask and his False Face Society as the Big Bad), the episode with Cluemaster and Spoiler was in the top 3 of my favorite episodes of the whole show, which might now say much, but there it is. I loved Steph in *Batwoman* , her chemistry with Luke Fox was perfectly cute, and I was bummed that Morgan Kohan wasn't recast as her for this new *Gotham Knight* (like how they recast *Gotham* season 1 's Renée Montoya for *Batwoman* season 3; sadly they butchered the character, which was a shame because Poison Ivy was actually pretty good IMHO but her love story with Renée seemed very forced considering how she acted) Bridget Regan was fine as Pamela Isley, but since they could only use the character for 3 episodes they had to rush it, which might explain why the romance with Montoya sucked so much. Okay, time to stop typing o/ FIN
CW cant Legally use DC Characters that are currently in other shows or being used in Film Productions. it has been like this since Nolan Dark Knight trilogy.
I have a feeling the showrunners were told These characters are not to be used aka Dick Grayson Jason Todd Tim Drake Damian Wayne etc. Because if the show tanks they don't want the stink of failure left on them.
I can't believe that the Birds of Prey TV show from almost 20 years ago looks better and like an actual attempt at doing a small screen exploration of the Batfamily and Gotham than a 2022/2023 CW show. I'm actually impressed by how cheap and outright disrespectful they are to the source material.
@Ivan Agustin Ortiz The biggest problem with the birds of prey TV show from 20 years ago was the portrayal of both Huntress and Black Canary who didn't resemble their comic book counterparts at all. The only ones that they got right were Barbara Gordon and harleen quinzel
@@naquingreen1603 well while black Canary in that show wasn't done well I would say the huntress was actually done pretty well for the most part. You have to remember she was playing the original earth 2 version of the character as the daughter of Batman and Catwoman Helena Wayne not Helena bertinelli. Although she really didn't have the huntress costume and still wasn't fully the character it's possible we could have seen that transition if the show went on longer but it only got one season. Plus that show has the perfect portrayal of Barbra gordan and an amazing Batgirl costume for the time I could totally see them giving huntresses her more comic accurate costume down the line.
@@jasoningramx3731 Honestly both Helena Bertinelli and Barbara Gordon were the only characters who were done well in the birds of prey TV show. Unfortunately the show missed the mark with Black Canary entirely even more so than the arrowverse (Earth-1 Laurel Lance was done badly imao in seasons 3-4 of Arrow and her pointless death in season 4 was the moment many fans officially stopped watching Arrow) Sara Lance and Earth 2 Laurel Lance were the only good characters who did the character of Black Canary justice but sadly even they came up short, the Arrowverse NEVER did Justice to the Green Arrow and Black Canary relationship and instead went the Smallville route of pairing up green arrow with Felicity Smoak which a lot fans REALLY. DIDN'T. LIKE. Especially when the result of their Union together was a very very annoying and unlikable character in Mia Queen (who should have been Oliver and Laurel's daughter or maybe even sera's)
@@naquingreen1603 their huntress was pretty cool as an oc and the actress for black canary did play alice on in batwoman aka the only decent part about that show.
There is so much going on in Gotham that you can have a show there without a whole lot of involvement from Batman without killing him. As a huge Batman fan I didn’t even know this show was a thing and it even has a couple of characters I really love involved. With Warner’s split from the CW and the shuffle going on at the WB because of the Discovery merger I think this is being sent out to die. Warner has been in crisis mode dumping everything not profitable. It’s such a strange mix of characters that wouldn’t usually fit together that you would have to be a huge comic fan to make this work.
@@Chuck_EL the DC shows are still produced by DC. They make all the decisions for the shows not the CW. It the TV division at Warner/DC that have been responsible for the low quality entertainment DC shows we’ve been given recently.

@@kevin10001 I didn’t watch any of the CW shows. There was just something about them that wasn’t for me. But I did watch a lot of Gotham. I stopped watching when I felt they were being held back from stories and characters they wanted to use because Warner wouldn’t let them. At the time WB assumed viewers were just so stupid that they couldn’t handle different versions of characters in different DC properties. You can’t use this character because they’re going to be in a movie was told to them all the time. It hurt the show by forcing them to create a character just like a known DC character, but was legally distinct and different. I wish move Batman shows and movies could balance the darkness and whimsy of Gotham and it’s villains like the comics do. I try to not be so hard on things like this because I know comics are weird and not something for a general audience. Shows like this make it real hard for me to be interested in them no matter what characters or actors are involved.
we won’t believe Batman is dead unless we see it we have to see it to believe it also cw I don’t think deserves Batman if they did they would contact warner bros and make a deal if they allow Batman in tv shows movies and in cw they would make a lot of people happy and money probably going to them because they allowed it and Gotham Fox was good but I wanted them to have another season Bruce adventures as Batman dealing with penguin riddler all his enemies and seeing him deal with them I was disappointed when all I saw was Batman encounters joker and him showing fear to him and a baterang to the hand then he saves Jim then he encountered Selena then he came after riddler and peguin and they were scared of him which was understandable and funny still birds of prey movie based in Gotham with no Batman cw batwoman with no Batman birds of prey 2003 series no Batman disappointing
I can't get over the fact that they made up a whole new character to be Bruce's adopted son when there's so many to choose from in the comics. If they were worried about confusion by having characters that already appeared in Titans (like Dick, Jason, and Tim) then they easily could have used Duke Thomas. He deserves more recognition anyway!
Facts. Duke really does deserve more shine. And his powers are both interesting and dope. Plus, his relationship with Cassandra is really cool too. I’m now wondering what they’re gonna call this new character. What’s his name gonna be: Wingnut?
It's good to _have_ trans characters, period; representation does matter, and trans rights are REALLY under fire. That said, I do agree that priorities are overtly skewed when they _advertise_ that fact right in the initial synopsis and the show isn't something more greatly focused on that experience. If it initially came up in the first few episodes, I'd buy it as something they actually want to do; brought up here, tells me it's queercatching. Could be wrong, but queer communities have been burned on this kind of thing far too often for it to not be likely. Side note: anyone even remember if Cullen Row was ever stated trans in the comic? It's been a while since I read Snyder's run, but I do not remember that coming up.

@@hahndoesnothing2872 I'm fine with it being in the announcement, again, if that's part of the show's focus. Somehow I doubt that trans stories are going to be a singularly major focus of this series.
Immediately I heard "Writers of Batwoman" I started creaming myself laughing.😂😂 I cannot wait to see this dumpster fire implode with all the gracefulness of a crumbling Lego house.
Did you miss the fact that the CW is behind it? Of course it’s gonna suck. They’re more focused on making it a love drama and pushing their politics down peoples throat, then trying to deliver a good show that respects the Batman property. It’s the CW, it’s what they do. They did it with Arrow and The Flash tv shows, this is gonna flop as bad as Batwomen did lol
I'm honestly just tired of all these 'Batman without Batman' shows. Just make a Batman show already; a legitimate one that incorporates all of the Batfamily.
Why cant we ever get media who depics batman AND the bat family together? It either the bat family alone or batman I just want to see a something were they actually interact with each other Especially bruce and jason... Like... With the exeption of the comics they are almost exclusively shown to either be working alone or against each other
Batman has been elevated to an epic legendary status that requires a huge production budget to do justice to. Now that we're seeing limited episode, higher budget miniseries on streaming services, we could see a Batman "TV" series.

I’m guessing they’re making all these new characters because they’re trying to make the next Harley Quinn, a character that started out of comics but got so popular that they brought them in
From what I could tell, only one of them was original. Stephanie Brown, Carrie Kelly, Harper and Cullen Rowe and that Duela chick are all characters who have appeared in the comics. It's a weird grab bag list of characters, and unless they're calling Harper Rowe a guy in the same way that people call people the opposite sex when they're not, they made Harper a dude for some reason, but beyond that, this Turner kid is hlthe only original character. Honestly, it would've made perfect sense if it was Damian who got accused of killing Bruce. I'm tired of dead Batman in stuff too, but that would've made total sense in the context of the story they're created without having to make something up.
They all suck because they dance around the elephant in the room of Batman missing from the show. Just pick someone for Batman and have the guts to do it in a tv show
@@milboxr9772 yeah but...naw. a Darth Vader series is what the fans want. Which we most likely will get after Obi Wan in terms of following the jedi and sith in Star Wars. A Cassandra Cain show with her as Batgirl being guided by Oracle could be incredible. Especially if they retain the part where she never learned to speak and you have to hire really incredible actors to make up the difference.
Gotham Knights has some of the CW's Batwoman writers on the writing staff. Those writers can't acknowledge what truly sunk Batwoman (hint: garbage writing), despise fans of the source material, and despise the source material itself, so, of course Gotham Knights has an extremly high likelihood of being trash. If you don't learn from your mistakes, then you'll just keep making the same mistakes.
Oh dear god no, not the batwoman writers!!! Please god no I’d rather have three 7 year olds in a creative writing camp write it than them! And they’d probably do a better job.
It's kinda funny you mentioned Bluebird as a character they should have used because Harper Row IS Bluebird. Both Harper and Cullen have been around for the better part of a decade. So aside from this main character, everyone is is an established character from the comics
Not that I'm looking forward to the show anyway. Aside from Superman and Lois, I gave up on the CW a long time ago. And seeing as how I got burnt out on Batman as a character also a long time ago, I really have no issue with the characters they've picked
One of the character's being transgender says it all. I'm gonna take a wild fucking guess here, and say that's their only "defining trait" and that we'll get a whole "you don't know what it's like to be _____ in _____!" Schtick at least twice before the halfway episode. Followed by someone misgendering them and making themselves an archenemies or some shit. Another studio basically scrounging for brownie points. Call me crazy, but I've seen this before enough times to know how it'll play out. I hope I'm wrong, but I doubt it.
Just saw the trailer for the show and, honestly, it just looks like Gotham but without the style/flair… also, as a Joker fan, I’m kind of sick and tired of seeing all these ‘Not the Joker but Joker’ type characters. Just give us Batman, give us his rogue gallery. You can included lesser-known characters within the show, we would welcome them, but (outside of Misha Collins as Harvey Dent) there’s little within the show that has my attention.
I knew this was a Terrible Idea for a Multitude of Reasons, this is Based on a Video that didn't come out Yet and has a Chance of Succeeding or Failing without Nightwing,Red Hood,Batgirl, and Robin, they are using the Batwoman and Naomi Writers which is a Receipe for Disaster, this is made by the CW Network which releases alot of Red Flags, and they are Treating the Barman Name as a Joke, also don't you dare say Riverdale is better than the Comics, that Unholy Abomination ruined the Archie's Comic which has alot of Imagination,Creativity, and Personality.
@@featherguardian6023 You are so right and honestly I have a feeling that this show will be canceled after season 1 alone due to low ratings. Honestly I feel like this is Hulu's helstrom all over again
Misha is great casting. I agree, Vee. I get why WB don't want such a massive IP in a aeries. But all these Batman related series' yet no Batman. I think it's right for Titans. That's Nightwing and his team. The Legend of Nightwing being born. I feel too much Batman would overshadow that but speaking of Supernatural actors. Jensen Ackles would be a perfect Batman. Said it most of my life as I grew up watching Supernatural. He could be the goofball side of Bruce so brilliantly. The intense side of Bruce and the Dark Knight is something he would do perfectly as well. He's pretty much the whole package as an actor. As much as I feel he would deserve to graduate from Batman Animated movies to live action one day if it that didn't happen he would also be a perfect Batman in a series. At some point they need to think about what Batman projects could be great for say HBO Max. I hope the show will be good. But I do fear a little for the first Bat Family Gam. From what we've seen, it looks like they're adapting some things from The Avengers game that we didn't like in that game. They should be looking to build on what was achieved with the Arkham Games and then Marvel's Spiderman. We are getting a a living City at last. So they're bringing us some things we've wanted for a long time in the Arkhamverse. They should build on other things though. Each personal Vehicle should be essential at times but not over used like the Batmobile was. Honestly, the first trailer may as well have been a sequel to Knight because aside from Barbara not being crippled Bruce is presumed dead and if Barbara just used the expermintal treatment that helps her walk again then we could have had all this except it could have been the Bat Family we were already very familiar with from the Arkham Games .At least Suicide Squad is in the Arkhamverse and I still have high hopes for the Gotham Knights game. Just would be a bit more excited if it was a sequel to Arkham Knight. Thanks as always, man. Keep it coming.
It took a bit of an adjustment after loving his take on Red Hood, but Ackles absolutely killed it as Batman in the adaptation of The Long Halloween, and I hope we get to see him grow in that role.
I think the reason they keep creating new characters is because they hope that the new character will be brought over into the comics and that will give the show more of a legacy, kinda like how Harley Quinn was brought over from the animated show into the comics.
But the thing is Harley was brought in due to the new dynamic she brought to the Batman mythology and was an overall great character. These four are as interesting as a a quarter in a mint factory.
Honestly I just want a Bat-Family show with like a Game Of Thrones level budget on HBO Max because it would work. Batman sells and the selling point could be that Batman will actually be there. And you get a big cast and writers and creators who genuinely love Batman and his lore. Get highly rate and underrated characters there like you get Batman, then bring in Nightwing, Red Hood, Red Robin, Robin (I know Vee you don't like him, but he can be done right if they don't make him a bratty ten year old but a bit older), Oracle, Stephanie Brown, Cassandra Cain, Bluebird, The Signal, Batwing, Batwoman, Huntress (and make it Helena Wayne too), Azrael, Catwoman, Alfred, Gordon, Bullock, Lucius, and Montoya. Like it could work. If WB would just let writers and show runners take Batman to the small screen and let him have the family in full force. That should be Gotham Knights. Not whatever CW is doing.
The best thing about Batman is the fact that his family, and 'clan' just excels his and everyone else's characters. I think this goes over writers heads or smth a lot. Hell! Dick Grayson was first MADE so Batman could have someone to TALK to!
Also just saying purely looking at this from the point of view of general consumer and putting aside my own thoughts as a Batman fan, The poster for the series doesn’t do a good job telling you that this is a superhero show. No one‘s wearing any sort of uniform that would tell you that this is a superhero property. If you aren’t aware of what Gotham is you’d have no idea this had anything to do with Batman. No I’m not saying that it Hass to be five people dressed up in ridiculous clothing that messes with the seemingly serious tone that they’re trying to do at least some sort of thing to connect with Batman or superheroes in general would be good. Perhaps at least one of them has a superhero costume on? Or if they really can’t be bothered with a costume just have the bat signal lit up in the background to tell the audience “Yes, this is in the world of Batman.”
When you talked about a live Batman show. You had the man in there that would be perfect for it. Kevin Porter from 🦇 in the Sun. He deserves his own show.
Actually as I keep seeing reviews of people saying they don’t know who these characters are I’m pretty surprised. Harper Row-Bluebird, Duella Dent- Jokers Daughter. Carrie Kelley-Dark Knight Returns and Stephanie Brown- Robin
Well at least we are getting a seemingly good Batfamily adaptation with the video game. If all we were getting was the CW show I would have zero faith in DC at this point.
At least their animated movies are still mostly pretty good. I'm really loving the new ongoing continuity they've been constructing after Justice League Dark: Apocalypse War. Superman: Man of Tomorrow and Batman: The Long Halloween parts 1 and 2 are really great, and Justice Society: WW2 is, although not quite as good imo, is a really cool introduction to a bunch of different DC characters and does a lot of cool worldbuilding.
It'll probably be like Arrow a good first season followed up by a great second season and if continued the quality of the show will drop off immediately. I just hope they stay away from The Court of Owls storyline.
They probably wrote the show using the actual characters from the comics, then last second they realised how bad the show was so they changed the character's names
We're actually going to be getting that on HBO Max, two, in fact. There was gonna be a series with Jeffrey Wright leading a cop drama inspired by Gotham Central (which sounded like what Gotham should've been), but that either got cancelled or evolved into one or both of the shows we are getting, a show in the universe of The Batman about Arkham Asylum (and maybe about it's residents) and a Penguin crime show with Collin Farrell about how he tries to consolidate power after the death of Falcone. Matt Reeves will be producing both series and might direct an episode or two. None of it is gonna be about Batman, but I wouldn't be surprised if one or both series gave Batman the kind of treatment Luke Skywalker got in The Mandalorian season 2, I imagine.
After reading/ hearing this synopsis a second time, and hearing, “Bruce’s adopted son, Turner Hayes..”… it makes me laugh at this garbage even more. Here's a(hopefully) better idea. Have the show be a prequel to Arrowverse, be a new take on Batman while being respectful to the source material and call it "The Gotham Knight." It focuses on a slightly younger Bruce Wayne, who is a former detective of the GCPD. After losing his parents, Bruce's inheritance of his family's wealth is taken from him. However, the family butler Alfred takes him in as his own. Training him on the idea of avenging the death of his parents. Years go by and Bruce, wanting justice, became a cop and worked his way into being a detective to find his parents killer but soon left due to the corrupt justice system. Wanting his revenge, he decides to operate outside the law and becomes a vigilante. Seen as a hero by people without hope, the citizens of Gotham view this new hero as a Knight. There's more I can go through, but most ideas sound better in my head than they do in texts.
What they make Gotham knights instead of BATMAN INC. which is necessary to do as batman inc. can work without Bruce or just mention Bruce as he is their boss 😐
WB: We can't have multip Batmen. That would confuse audiences. Also WB: Creates completely different Gotham Knights show and video game, has different Batmen in the exact same movie. I HATE this policy from WB about not allowing shows especially to use characters whenever there are plans to use them in movies. At least in the past there was the excuse that people don't understand the concept of the multiverse because it hasn't been widely used or understood in the mainstream. It's a bad excuse, but now there's absolutely no excuse. Stop with these completely arbitrary rules and just let people tell cool stories. Honestly, though, I think anyone with half a brain could tell this Gotham Knights show is probably gonna be Batwoman levels of dumpster fire (or just CW DC shows in general at this point).
Personally my line up would have been: Signal, Damien, Orphan, Huntress and maybe Harper Row like character. The choices made for the lineup is so weird.
They could of done so many other things with this. Hell they could nightwing batgirl huntress and whatever useable characters of the batman family. Have huntress being the more brutal vigilante taking the responsibility of fighting crime while nightwing deals with needing to be the new batman. Introduce Harper row as the new kid on the crime fighting block to then have nightwing take her under his wing. Have the 1season end with and the 2season begin with him actually being batman just have Damian Wayne enter season2 wanting to take on the mantel or becoming the new Robin.
Before watching I already agree with you since after Naomi they need to pick an easy success instead of a risk. All of their current shows are easy hits: Stargirl, Flash and Superman and Lois Mid watching I'm already not a fan because I didn't read the newly written synopsis with the character names, they are not familiar with the public and instead of doing a great BatFam show the make a wierd team. Sounds worse than I thought, the whole aspect of Bruce's adopted sons is their relationship with Bruce but here not only he's dead we also don't know his son at all. After watching I pretty much agree with all you've said. This show don't really bring much interesting stuff to the table compare to their other Batman-not-Batman shows so far.
Listen, we all know how this song and dance is going to go; this is the CW, and they have proven track record. Even if this show is good in its first season, and even if it continues to be good in the second season, it will then take a MASSIVE nose dive in the third season, where it will - somehow - keep trudging on for a few more seasons, before finally being put to death. It happened with Arrow, it happened with Supergirl, and it's happening with the Flash now. So assuming it doesn't go the way of Batwoman and Legends of Tomorrow, this is most likely how Gotham Knights will go. Also, who decided it was a good idea to name this show after a game people are actually excited for? Cross promotion? Maybe? Like... very thin cross promotion? I honestly wouldn't have known this show was even announced if I wasn't looking up the game I'm waiting for.
@MaverickKayPrime Actually I think this show will be cancelled after one season. That is assuming the ratings will be poor / bad and the Rotten Tomatoes and reviews
@MaverickKayPrime This show will probably end up like Naomi would it be in canceled after the first season alone. Don't forget W B has a new CEO in David zaslav who has been canceling a lot of shows and movies since he's been elected due to the Discovery and Warner merger.
In terms of which characters I don't see why they didnt choose someone like terry mcguiness. Like if the dialogue was good I think hed fit this kinda show pretty well with his first big outing as a crime fighter or batman is solving the mystery of the previous caped crusader. Wow that concept alone sounds like a better show already
I only heard about this yesterday. The idea of the show has potential, now I don't mind shows that are set in the Batman/DC universe that usually don't feature Batman either at all or very little of him, I think those types of shows are cool to bring forward the sidekicks, a little like Titans, I know that show was hated in season 1, I finally watched it and in the middle of season 3 and admittedly, it's not bad, not great, but not bad. However, I am against making up stuff in the Batman/DC Universe, characters I mean or at least major Characters. Now I know that views on the actual game has changed for a lot of people, me included since they've just seemed to have ruined Red Hood, who I intended to play the majority of the game with. But I think the game will do a lot better than this show. A show version of the game could be really cool, but then again we do have the majority of the Bat family or at least the most known ones, in Titans, this being Grayson, Todd, Barbara Gordon and now Tim Drake. So maybe they didn't want to get confused with that show. However, they could have either have Tim Drake or Damien Wayne take the reins. Tim actually may have been the better choice as he seems to be the only one who could truly take the Reins of Batman. From what I've heard he's quite intelligent, even figuring out Batman's identity so he'd take the detective side of things easily. Honestly, with a few changes to the show, it would probably appeal to me. But how it is so far...... I think I'm going to pass on this.
I'm so glad the CW stuff is over or finishing up at least....But we got the Gotham Knight's show coming up,Not to be confused with the game coming out at the same time 😐
Everything you said, is already what I think few things I may add, this shares writers with Batwoman, so they're doing it all again, wtf? And as for the main character, if Dick, Jason and Tim are in Titans, why not go with Damian, especially when your group of "Gotham knights" are mostly offsprings of villains? He would fit PERFECTLY in that team because's he's literally the son of batman with a villain.
Vee... Bluebird *is* Harper Row ^^' she *is* in the show! I really like her and her brother in the comics, even the recent one where she's facing off against Punchline (it makes for a nice Batman's sidekick vs Joker's sidekick; plus my boy Cullen finally gets a real role in that storyline, instead of being the background gay dude... why make him trans in the show, though?). I'm just a bit butthurt that you didn't show any footage of the *Arrowverse* Stephanie Brown/Spoiler/Batgirl/Robin/etc... In a second season that was only saved by it's cool villains (with Black Mask and his False Face Society as the Big Bad), the episode with Cluemaster and Spoiler was in the top 3 of my favorite episodes of the whole show, which might now say much, but there it is. I loved Steph in Batwoman , her chemistry with Luke Fox was perfectly cute, and I was bummed that Morgan Kohan wasn't recast as her for this new Gotham Knight, the only issue with her is that she had red hair, and Steph is the Batfam's blonde. But if they can change Cullen's gender, why stop at a hair color amirite? (for instance, like how they recast Gotham season 1 's Renée Montoya for Batwoman season 3; sadly they butchered the character, which was a shame because Poison Ivy was actually pretty good IMHO but her love story with Renée seemed very forced considering how she acted) Bridget Regan was fine as Pamela Isley, but since they could only use the character for 3 episodes they had to rush it, which might explain why the romance with Montoya sucked so much. Okay, time to stop typing o/ FIN
I absolutely do not care that there is a transgender character in the show, but I just don’t understand why they feel the need to make such a big deal about it. Also, I noticed some race swapping, not a fan of that. They need to just adapt/create minority characters instead of changing white ones.
…why not just do the general story of Batman RIP? Like, not word for word… but say for instance, Batman’s dead (I actually don’t mind the whole Batman’s dead thing). Dick Grayson has to lead the new generation, bring in Carrie Kelly as his new Robin, then throw Stephanie in as the new Batgirl and throw in Barbara as Oracle. Maybe do it like a post killing Joke thing where Batman and The Joker Killed each other! Then bring in all the newer characters as side characters! As Vee said I think they should’ve pulled from the comics.
I wish this was in better hands cause some of the characters like Carrie, Harper and Cullen and specifically Spoiler do make me perk up and wonder how they will be portrayed and I've wanted to some done justice outside comics. I just have no faith in CW doing this

Honestly I hope that stargirl moves to HBO Max along with Superman and Lois.
The Flash will be the last arrowverse show and that has already been renewed for a season 9 and (potentially) a season 10 but who knows at this point.
I have a strong feeling the show isn’t using many popular BatFamily characters so if it’s bad, DC can just ignore it and pretend it doesn’t exist
I also have a feeling that Vee doesn't realize that Bluebird *is* Harper Row ^^' I really like her and her brother in the comics, even the recent one where she's facing off against Punchline
(it makes for a nice Batman's sidekick vs Joker's sidekick; plus my boy Cullen finally gets a real role instead of being the background gay dude... why make him trans in the show, though?).
I loved Steph in *Batwoman* , her chemistry with Luke Fox was perfectly cute, and I was bummed that Morgan Kohan wasn't recast as her for this new *Gotham Knight*
(like how they recast *Gotham* season 1 's Renée Montoya for *Batwoman* season 3; sadly they butchered the character, which was a shame because Poison Ivy was actually pretty good IMHO but her love story with Renée seemed very forced considering how she acted)
Bridget Regan was fine as Pamela Isley, but since they could only use the character for 3 episodes they had to rush it, which might explain why the romance with Montoya sucked so much.
Okay, time to stop typing o/

I can't believe that the Birds of Prey TV show from almost 20 years ago looks better and like an actual attempt at doing a small screen exploration of the Batfamily and Gotham than a 2022/2023 CW show. I'm actually impressed by how cheap and outright disrespectful they are to the source material.
@Ivan Agustin Ortiz
The biggest problem with the birds of prey TV show from 20 years ago was the portrayal of both Huntress and Black Canary who didn't resemble their comic book counterparts at all.
@@jasoningramx3731
Honestly both Helena Bertinelli and Barbara Gordon were the only characters who were done well in the birds of prey TV show.

@@BlueBlazeKing I never said Tucker was as good a character as Harley Quinn, I'm just saying that that's probably what the show runners are thinking.
How can there be two separate properties under the same name that will suck?

The CW hates Batman so much. And that's not even taking into account their hate for Wonder Woman, like they never make a reference to her once.
What they make Gotham knights instead of BATMAN INC. which is necessary to do as batman inc. can work without Bruce or just mention Bruce as he is their boss 😐
Okay, there are a few characters I recognize from Young Justice, mainly Stephanie Brown (Spoiler) and Harper Row (Blue Bird).
Hey, CW. Put Batman in The Gotham Knights series and you can rename name the series called, Batman and The Gotham Knights. How's that?
Clever
@@nicholasrodriguez4990 I know, right?
I dont know if I would want cw getting there crusty claws on robin , batgirl , red hood and nightwing
Bruh jason would’ve been the best pick to frame for Batman’s death. He at least did it once
OMG THANK YOU!!! I’ve thought the exact same thing EVERY SINGLE TIME they drop another Batman spinoff show, I Agree with everything you just said 👀
Personally my line up would have been: Signal, Damien, Orphan, Huntress and maybe Harper Row like character. The choices made for the lineup is so weird.
It's about sending a message.
But Harper is a character who originates from comic.
All of their current shows are easy hits: Stargirl, Flash and Superman and Lois
Mid watching I'm already not a fan because I didn't read the newly written synopsis with the character names, they are not familiar with the public and instead of doing a great BatFam show the make a wierd team.
@MaverickKayPrime
Actually I think this show will be cancelled after one season. That is assuming the ratings will be poor / bad and the Rotten Tomatoes and reviews
@MaverickKayPrime
This show will probably end up like Naomi would it be in canceled after the first season alone. Don't forget W B has a new CEO in David zaslav who has been canceling a lot of shows and movies since he's been elected due to the Discovery and Warner merger.
I think some of the excitement for the game has gone away with the PS4 and Xbox 1 versions getting canceled.
@@andrewterrell4019
You said it, honestly both playstation and Microsoft have done a lot of stupid things to turn off their fans.
They actually cancelled Batwoman and legends of tomorrow
I love that the show isn’t even coming out this year and everyone has 0 hope in it
In terms of which characters I don't see why they didnt choose someone like terry mcguiness.
Wait so no Jason Todd, Dick Greyson, Tim Drake, Barbara Gordon, and no Damian and Cassandra. This is gonna suck
Only thing that made me happy about that description was seeing the name Carrie Kelley
He would fit PERFECTLY in that team because's he's literally the son of batman with a villain.
well at least the entier BATMAN fandom can unite to hate this thing.
They just don’t want “comic book fans complaining...” so they make their own nonsense characters so you can’t say “That’s not ______”
Nice swerve but what do you think about the game play reveal for the Gotham knights game?
Vee... Bluebird *is* Harper Row ^^' she *is* in the show! I really like her and her brother in the comics, even the recent one where she's facing off against Punchline
(it makes for a nice Batman's sidekick vs Joker's sidekick; plus my boy Cullen finally gets a real role in that storyline, instead of being the background gay dude... why make him trans in the show, though?).
(for instance, like how they recast Gotham season 1 's Renée Montoya for Batwoman season 3; sadly they butchered the character, which was a shame because Poison Ivy was actually pretty good IMHO but her love story with Renée seemed very forced considering how she acted)
Bridget Regan was fine as Pamela Isley, but since they could only use the character for 3 episodes they had to rush it, which might explain why the romance with Montoya sucked so much.
Okay, time to stop typing o/
FIN
I absolutely do not care that there is a transgender character in the show, but I just don’t understand why they feel the need to make such a big deal about it. Also, I noticed some race swapping, not a fan of that. They need to just adapt/create minority characters instead of changing white ones.
This show literally looks like riverdale but in Gotham city
I’m not excited for this shows it’s going to be boring, moody teenagers hating or worshiping Batman who doesn’t exist in the CW Universe.
Can someone just take away DC from CW please? Or atleast get a similar situation with HBO like Superman and lois.
They are not in Gotham, the Seattle Space needle is in the background of the poster.
I'd be shocked to my core if this ends up being anything close to good
The last live action Batman show about Batman premiered in 1966. Let that sink in.
I just have no faith in CW doing this
bro stop giving the cw these shows. unless they learned from their mistakes, they’re gonna fucc this up too
It’s kinda sad when Superman had a bigger role in the CW Supergirl series than Batman had in every live-action series since the Adam West show ended.
What's the episode of Gotham in the background
Hey I'm just interested in seeing Carrie Kelly. At all.
it is a CW superhero show, it is 96% gonna fail.
Well I'm going to have to at least watch the first episode just out of the fact that Mr Collins is a part of it cuz I really liked him in supernatural and them's the rules like I tried the first couple episodes of Walker just because of Jerry padalecki
"A clever transgender teen who is TIRED of being in polite and agreeable" oh boy this show is gonna be ass
ever since the trailer dropped and even now i always felt that it was doing to fail, no free flow combat and the stealth looking avengers game level disappointing.

What show is that?
It’s not a show it’s a short film titled Batman: dying is easy.
Here is the link:ua-cam.com/video/K0x_YjkgFjc/v-deo.html
Why is WB like this? It's like an endless torment
I've been seeing so many videos recommended shitting on Gotham Knights and I thought something went wrong with the game, didn't even know CW was cranking out another piece of garbage
