    I'm brand new to embroidery. Just bought my first machine, Brother PE535. I did very little research and wanted a machine that wouldn't break the bank. Did my first design, which was a preloaded one, and fell in love with this little machine. After watching numerous videos, and being tempted to buy a 5x7 hoop machine already, I came across this video by you. You have probably saved my marriage! I am looking forward to perfecting my embroidery knowledge before investing in another machine. Thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge with a newbie like me. My question is, where can I find the second video where you stitched the multiple files together? Thanks again! Truly appreciate you.

      Hello, I also have the PE535. Did you purchase a software to use with your machine? I'm wanting to embroider larger designs but don't have a software or big hoop.

    I embroidered a terrapin 4.3x 4.3 on an older Brother embroidery machine. My son used PE design 4 to do this he looked into the exact space in the hoop. As long as the embroidery foot does not hit the hoop ( which would break something) you can stitch larger than they tell you you can. I can prove what I’m saying. Most machines can stitch a little larger. They make the designs smaller so you have a (margin of error) to prevent breakage. You need digitizing and editing software to push the sizing capabilities to the absolute limit:)

    • @ThimbleBook
      @ThimbleBook Рік тому +1

      Yes, software will let you push sizing to the limits on most machines. Thanks for sharing.

    I have this same machine & yes price went up alot due to Covid mask making & more staying home as a hobby. I paid what you did on Walmart Online. I don't own a computer, so I would just stick with the 4x4 hooping. I like to sew more than embroider but nice to have that function. Thanks for sharing!

      Thanks for watching! I feel the same way as you do about embroidery. Embroidery can be a great revenue stream, but I don't think of it as something I would ever do for fun. However, I am sure there are plenty of folks who do love embroidery as much as we both enjoy sewing.

    the speaker discusses the possibility of embroidering larger designs on a 4x4 machine, which is typically limited to designs no larger than 4 inches by 4 inches. The speaker explains that some people already have 4x4 machines and want to print larger designs, while others are looking to get into embroidery at a low price point. The speaker shares that prices for 4x4 machines have fluctuated significantly in recent years, and while larger machines like the 5x7 PE 800 are popular for beginners, they come with higher price tags. The speaker suggests starting at the 4x4 price point because the cost of software, thread, and a substrate can add up quickly, and the return on investment is faster when selling items. The speaker demonstrates how to split larger designs into smaller hoopings using the Embird editor, and encourages viewers to consider this option before investing in a more expensive machine.

    Can this split design be done using the free version of Embrilliance?

    Thanks so kindly for this video. Yours is one of the few I've seen that use Embird (my editing program too!) I think the software and multiple windows and less-than-intuitive toolbars and commands are very difficult to learn! I have been practicing splitting designs using your video. So...thanks!
    Do you know of any comprehensive tutorials to learn Embird?
    Thanks again.

      Thanks for watching! There is a YT channel called OML embroidery with a few Embird videos up. Other than that, I don't know of any other channels with in-depth tutorials on Embird.

    I just got this machine what will be my next upgrade please help what should I upgrade after getting seasoned with the SE 600

    • @ThimbleBook
      @ThimbleBook Рік тому +4

      Congratulations. Plz use the SE600 until it becomes 100% impossible to maintain a good workflow because it's so easy to get sucked into an "upgrade" funnel. Once you figure out what type of projects you'll be doing most, then you can make an informed decision about what machine to get next.

    Hello! I’m new in this and I’m having the trouble that when I order my designs from a digitizer the machine says the design is to big. Every time I order I specify that My machine only do 4x4” but I have a 4x6” multi hoop and yet every time they make the design to big. Is there something Im not understanding about embroider larger designs in a 4x4? 😅

    • @ThimbleBook
      @ThimbleBook 8 місяців тому

      When your machine is a 4x4, your machine stitches out the design slightly smaller. If I recall correctly, my brother SE625 max size is 3.86 x 3.86. So, I always make my designs this size or smaller. If you are using a 4x6 hoop, the other 2 inches will have to be stitch out using a separate document. My second video on this shows you how to split the designs.

    Can you design your own on this software? Where do you get it?

    • @ThimbleBook
      @ThimbleBook Рік тому +1

      I got the software off the Embird website. If you buy Embird Studio, you can design your own embroidery files. I would highly recommend going for the studio version if you intend on making your own designs.
