Nah this Hulk would’ve stood a better chance before they progressively nerfed him. The Universal movies hulk, while the movies especially the first were flawed, would’ve given Thanos all he could handle
Nice job! This definitely made me realise how most of the characters of the main line up have progressed power wise since 2012. Iron Man's suit is now made of nanotechnology and much more durable and weapon equipped, Thor can now channel lighting without using Mlojnir and is generally better equipped with Stormbreaker, Hulk has since merged his intellect and strength together and Cap is now capable of wielding Mlojnir. A fight with Thanos in present times whilst still being in favour of him is closer to even, whereas all of them in 2012 would absolutely have had their asses handed to them in seconds.
@@lpmusic4471 that's a bs statement lmao. Ragnarok hulk is more powerful the the original avengers hulk yet he got his ass handed to a thanos who didn't even use his gauntlet lmao
Awesome. In my head cannon, Thanos waited until Odin was out of the picture before trying to get all the stones from Midgard because he knew Odin would destroy him. So for me, if Thanos showed up in 2012, he would have had Odin and his army to deal with.
Alright, weird example, you have an interview, but you can delay it, you go to change you have your suit your tie but you don't have your suit trousers, you wouldn't go, you don't have appropriate trousers, so you would delay it That's exactly what Thanos did too, but with the stones, he knew where the Power Stone was, the space stone, the reality stone, the time stone and the mind stone, but the soul stone? What's the point of going on your journey if you don't know where one of your important items is Another example is let's say an item costs £6, and you have £5, you need another £1, you would wait until you get £1 then go to the shops As soon as Thanos knew where the Soul Stone was (when Gamora found the Vormir map just before Infinity War takes place), he took action, even if Odin and Ancient One was still alive, he would still go, I would argue Dr. Strange may be stronger than the Ancient One if she doesn't get power from the Dark Dimension
Everyone forgets about Odin bc he didn't really do much in the movies, but his existence literally protected the space stone and the time stone for ages, and also the reality stone and the mind stone when they both got to earth.
@@randallturner9094 No, he definitely could. This is the guy that took on Thor, Captain America, and Iron Man all AT ONCE. There also isn't any indication in the fight with Hulk that Thanos was using the stone.
@@markandrew287 well, obviously a stone has an effect just possessing it, as normal people doing so explode. My view of Hulk is he’s the litmus for strength. That’s my impression of it anyway. But it’s a made up universe, hard to prove anything definitively.
This turned out perfect! I've always wondered what it would be like if that happened in the 1st movie, I think it would be better for Fury to call Captain Marvel
Fun fact a lot of you might know by now: something similar to this was going to happen in one of the drafts. Thanos would come to 2012 and defeat the avengers then and in the present thanos would greet them and throw cap his own head at him. Talk about a grim welcome back
Fun Fact: There was a deleted scene in which Thanos brought the heads of the Avengers from his timeline with him to the final battle in 'Endgame.' EDIT: As others have pointed out, it was only story boarded and didn't make it to filming.
@@justoandres4951 it makes sense it was deleted tho. I mean that Thanos had no stones yet, so I cannot see where he would've got thr chance to kill Cap. Maybe he went to Earth at one point while on his mission to half the population, like he did with Gamora's planet.
The ending was so perfect 😭 if only movies really delved into the little moments of how it all ties together rather than Easter eggs and literally just watching. Fantastic video!
He was underdeveloped in the sense that mark 7 was the only prehensile armor tony had... Also, he didn't had any other armors up and running during the battle of new York... At least after a year he had an army of armors...He was somehow prepared in iron man 3, except mark 42
Imma tell ya this, it would've saved Thanos two more phases worth of trouble, but then you got to remember the Ancient One, Odin, Hela, and Ego were still alive this point so Thanos waiting for the right moment to strike was what made me love his genius as a villain cuz he knew he wouldn't stand a chance against all of them combined
Even in just New York, if he decided to knock on the Sanctum Sanctorum, he'd run headfirst into the Ancient One. Dr Strange was going toe to toe against 4 Stone Thanos, i won't be surprised if combat-wise Ancient One is at least on par with Dr Strange at that time. Without the Infinity Gauntlet to use the Stones efficiently here, he'd have the Mind Stone in a meh scepter and the Space Stone in a Tesseract aka slower. And slower isn't going to be good especially if the Ancient One utilizes the Time Stone to it's full potential.
@@tyranidswarmlord9722 for BOTH of you... I never realized that Thanos was just waiting for the other more powerful gods to be killed off. Before he "did it himself". When in reality he was too afraid he was going to die, that he sent his minions in hopes they would do the dirty work for them.

Yeah I love Thanos but there’s no way in hell Odin would let his boy die. Odin would rain down every ounce of power he had. Thats honestly how he should’ve left. Thanos would’ve needed to get the soul stone from Asgard. No sacrifice. Just an ancient awareness of a certain location and the means to overcome the opposition. The battle would’ve been immense. Thanos would’ve had the power stone. Asgard would’ve been destroyed.
it didn't matter if they were alive. as long as thanos defeated the avengers back in 2012, he would be in possession of 3-4 of the infinity stones. the ancient one, although powerful, can't really compete against thanos with the stones. odin was already beginning to weaken since the first thor movie, which was why he was keen in abdicating and giving thor the throne. hela would prove to be a strong opponent against thanos but she would not be able to triumph in a fight against the mad titan. lastly ego, his strength comes from his core planet. thanos could have defeated them all with ease and then make a move on ronan, who according to the guardians of the galaxy movie, would possess the power stone. lastly, sacrifice his daughter to obtain the soul stone. at that point, no avengers, no ancient one, no odin, no hela, and no ego, who can possibly stop thanos??
Wasn't the number like 16 million or something? Of which only 2 beat Thanos before the snap? Only 1 that didn't result in an incursion which is honestly worse than what Thanos did.
@@camronsever9526 This might be a bit of a read since i'll probably go a bit overboard explaining. So the goal was never to stop Thanos. It was to stop the Snap. Killing/beating Thanos is just a requirment for their goal. Now for context, the MCU is considered to be Earth-19999 but takes place on Earth-616 kinda. Earth-616 is like the ''Main timeline'' for Marvelverse and everything revolves around it. They're doing the best they can to recreate it but stuff like technological limitations and sustainability reasons I wont get into. When Dr. Strange does his timeline sifting thing to find out how to beat Thanos originally there ARE timelines he saw where Thanos still died afterwards but the snap itself couldn't be dealt with. Only twice was that reverted. The first one we see is MCU's version. The snap happens, the snap gets reverted, Tony Stark sacrifices himself. Again for context. An incursion is when 2 universes collide into and destroy eachother. The only way to stop it is for 1 to attack and kill the other. The second one we see is in Multiverse of Madness. Earth-838's Dr. Strange forms the Illuminati, the one killed by Scarlet during MOM, Strange uses the Darkhold and causes an Incursion. They stop Thanos but the Illuminati learns of what Dr. Strange had done and he agrees to be executed to atone for his crimes. So basically it was either what we saw happen in the MCU or 2 universes destroy eachother and Dr. Strange himself gets killed.
I can believe that Thanos could defeat him with superior skill but I don't like how it was handled in the movie. At least let Thanos use the power stone to overcome Hulk's initial pin.
@@BungieStudios according to canon hulk can consume the gamma radiation of entire stars and has the ability to surpass Galactus as a galaxy eater, theres no way the guantlet should have done any damage to Hulk. Hulk has more gamma tolerance than both Thor and Thanos

I think thanos personally didn’t wanna show up because of Odin at this time. But having the asgaurdian son of Odin lead his troops on an assault. Odin wouldn’t come down for Loki. But for thanos being down there. Heimdall would tell Odin and Odin would’ve showed up with an army. Infinity war happened when thanos knew Odin was dead and Asgard was destroyed.
This is edited well with actual footage, and what's interesting is that the Russos considered having a sequence in Endgame where 2014 Thanos (during GOTG) travels to Earth to kill the Avengers of that branch timeline after he learns about the Avengers during their Time Heist through Nebula. They considered having him land on earth through the tractor beam thing for the final battle by kicking the head of Captain America of his timeline in 2014 across the rubble to show the Avengers that he meant business. This feels like what they almost got to include.
Yeah glad hey didn’t do that because Cap was my favorite character and it definitely would’ve been all bad and not at least a little bad. No good comes from offing Cap aside for giving someone else the mantle of Captain America.
@Zayne S Nah fuck captain America. Russos sucked him hard and destroyed other characters for him especially Thor. How the f can Thor be outperformed by captain America. Endgame was just some lame ass fanboy writing. We didn't even get a proper Thor v Thanos.
Thats a great point. Odin was still alive at this point... One might argue that Thanos wasn't brave enough to begin his outright conquest and attack on earth until Odin was out of the picture. Odin would surely show up if Thor was near death (Like he did before with the frost giants).
I love how these are on one level REALLY well edited, amazingly well, and yet they are juuuuuuust bad enough to retain a wholesome element of utter silliness and whimsy.
this could legitimately happen in a future episode of "what if?" but I don't think we'll get to see it in the second season, it's more likely that we'll see this in a third season, also a what if? on "Thanos Absolutely Winning Infinity Wars" would be great to see, with an old version of thanos and that.
I saw a post on IG years back when infinity was still new and it said that the reason why Thanos didn’t attack yet was cause ego, Odin, hela, and the ancient one were still alive and he knew they’d be able to stop him idk if that true but it makes sense to me

Nice job! This definitely made me realise how most of the characters of the main line up have progressed power wise since 2012. Awesome. In my head cannon, Thanos waited until Odin was out of the picture before trying to get all the stones from Midgard because he knew Odin would destroy him. So for me, if Thanos showed up in 2012, he would have had Odin and his army to deal with.
Very plausible. A shame that we didn't see much of Odin in action.
And also the ancient one
Alright, weird example, you have an interview, but you can delay it, you go to change you have your suit your tie but you don't have your suit trousers, you wouldn't go, you don't have appropriate trousers, so you would delay it
That's exactly what Thanos did too, but with the stones, he knew where the Power Stone was, the space stone, the reality stone, the time stone and the mind stone, but the soul stone? What's the point of going on your journey if you don't know where one of your important items is
Another example is let's say an item costs £6, and you have £5, you need another £1, you would wait until you get £1 then go to the shops
As soon as Thanos knew where the Soul Stone was (when Gamora found the Vormir map just before Infinity War takes place), he took action, even if Odin and Ancient One was still alive, he would still go, I would argue Dr. Strange may be stronger than the Ancient One if she doesn't get power from the Dark Dimension
Everyone forgets about Odin bc he didn't really do much in the movies, but his existence literally protected the space stone and the time stone for ages, and also the reality stone and the mind stone when they both got to earth.
thats not even headcanon thats straight up what the russos said as to why thanos didnt try collecting the stones right away
This turned out to be really good! I think it would’ve been cool to see Thanos travel to the 2012 timeline.

The way Strange looks at Tony at the end really does show how many grim realities he saw where the Avengers lost
Wasn't the number like 16 million or something? Of which only 2 beat Thanos before the snap? Only 1 that didn't result in an incursion which is honestly worse than what Thanos did.
@@Meowthixwhat’s do you mean he saw 2 where they beat thanos before the snap?
The number was 14,000,605 outcomes
