Yeah, you can definitely take deer, and elk with a good shot, with a 300WM at 800-1,000yds....I got a big horn sheep at 900ish. I did have to track it for a while though
@m73m95 That’s awesome! That pretty much the furthest and my first time shooting long range in that game. Cause normally I like to know what I’m shooting at but this time I didn’t care haha

I could try..but honestly the next day or two (in game) they would spawn back in most likely

i am still pretty new to the game do u know how level up your perks and the callers and why is my buddy hunter sense had alot more range then mine
@harleystull7988 If you hover over whatever perk, it will tell you what the perk does/tell you how to level it up. Your buddy has more range probably due to the fact they have the perk unlocked that allows that

I actually try to ruin my herds on purpose, doesn't work. Got 5 stars, melas anything.
That bull elk is roaming the same spot on my map btw.
There's also one loner up the road where Hollywood's herd is.

@AndiKoehn I still try and be careful what I shoot and don't shoot (most of the time) keep slaying em brother! I'm not sure about the loner up near where Hollywood was, I don't go up that way much.
When there is hunting pressure the rarely spots become often spots and vice versa. The rare and often drinking spots of this herd were very close to each other.
Thats why they were easy to find
