I dont know what happened to the mate 50 pro shots your unit made. But im definitely sure its the best out there right now. Tested side by side by side with vivo x80 pro, mi12t pro, and a d750 with 85mm 1.5 aperture. To other phones it really blows away the competition. And in color reproduction. Its the closest and much accurate on what a raw shot came from a dslr (color, bokeh fall off, and dynamic range)

Goverment would have refused to sell the phone directly in his country But while the government smartly happened in the whole country and banned them that they could not use American technology. If there was a problem with the phone itself, he would have refused to sell directly in his country. The rest of the country buys phones or not it's there problem, why is the technology ban imposed on them man ? To stop inovating the company which is still in notch to retain its value in 2nd hand market....

If they are comparing top phones from each of these makers, then they should be comparing the Huawei Mate50 RS Porsche Design to the others. Its not just a fancy skin, the cameras are different than the Mate 50 pro. And the ram, and the camera app I believe. And the RS gives better pics than the Mate50 pro But all that is history now that the Huawei P60 Art has arrived, its even better again! And imagine how much better the Mate 60 Pro and Mate60 RS will be later in the year. I know there will be a google 7 and a S24 but they are always not as good with cameras as Huawei. Even though USA corporations tried to kill Huawei just because huawei is doing tech better, they failed.
Everyone else is rating s22 ultra with higher numebrs but this apple paid channel is always biased. Why so? 🤭
Many YT channels are affiliated with Samsung and make a lot of money from Samsung with their links and freebies. So, maybe it is them that are biased?

quite surprised by pixel 7 pros portrait shots and video (great improvement from them)
For being the most cheapest out of the 4, Google managed to stay competitive. But I feel they're starting to slacken in the noise department. After using 4 gens of Pixels, low light noise continues to be its Achilles heel in my usage and Google has done nothing much to improve it since the Pixel 3.
It's crazy how the S22 Ultra can still compete to the current flagships in the market 🥵
Samsung often needs half a year till their software is fully optimized, so it’s not that big of a surprise.

Maybe I'm just looking for different things but I consistently find myself liking the pixel pictures a lot of the time. There was a picture in here that I thought the pixel had the most accurate colors but it got last place. This is based on this video and a few others but the iPhone tends to come out very warm and greenish imo, also I've noticed when the pixel takes " dark pictures " they tend to be closer to what my eye actually saw but again maybe I'm looking for different things as I'm not a professional in any sense. Apple always kills it on video! I definitely love these comparisons though awesome job!

Good Video! But you blame Huawei for having red tones, but when Apple has red tones in their Selfies it's good looking and the best of all 4? 🧐
He's heavily biased towards iphone... The iPhone was objectively worse in a fair few photos, still he gave it higher points than it warranted
His skin color might be actually be red color in that scene, so they chose the most accurate picture.
There were red lights in those photos, and every phone had red selfies. The Mate 50 Pro actually got the most points in that one selfie where Sam's face was really red. We mentioned the red tones a lot, because the photos and videos are just red in general on Huawei's side.

How is the mate ranked as the best camera phone in DXOMARK?
DXO mark ranks photos more than video, also having said, the zoom lense here on this channel is somewhat cursed or they down clean it. For the rest, huawei should have the best color accuracy of every phone, if you watch other channels none of them had this red color problem like the p30 pro back in the days. I dont know if they have a old software (or the newest which seems to make problems) but huawei devices are kind of cursed on this channel (i am not saying they displays huawei bad, as they showed they try to do the best with the camera settings) also if you play around with the camera settings and give time and shoot multiple photos in different modes (night mode, pro mode, bokeh mode, HDR mode) you can have better results, tho i dont know if DXO is doing that, but judging from other videos huawei shouldnt be that bad in this comparsion
also in this comparison the video was ranked after the most clarity, well you can change that with the huawei apreture like f1.4 will give you a much more clearer image (which like on the other phones look very artificial) or change it to f4 for better motion blur like they do in hollywood movies, they for example shoot in 24fps with a lower shutter speed. With faster shutter speed you will get of course a clearer image

@@ghidon89 You can check "Galaxy S22 Ultra SD 8 gen 1 vs Exynos 2200 camera compararion August update", you will see that even on zoom Exynos captures more details and has better HDR in most scenarios.

We do plenty of these in our comparisons, this was an outlier where we happened to be indoors. The place we went to is somewhere that people specifically go to take funny photos and videos of themselves to share on social media, and it's not that uncommon for people to take photos of themselves and their friends to post on Instagram.

Great job as usual. I know it's pretty soon to ask, but once you get your hands on Vivo X90 pro plus, could you compare it with Apple, Samsung and Google. As Vivo is known for their additional V2 chipset dedicated for camera and to boost other minute performance.

i'm impressed that for night performance google had the highest score if we take into account only the main camera. it screwed up really bad with the ultrawide though that's where it lost the a lot of points. perhaps if there would have been some zoom low light footage as well as astrophotography, things would have changed around for low light performance.
you should also have mentioned that the mate 50 pro also got 3840 fps in slowmotion on 720p
The descriptions on a couple of websites do say this, but it wasn't in the phone. We checked extensively!

@@Versusdotcom It should be in the "More" tab on the right of the camera settings in german called "Mehr" where you can also do "Hohe Auflösung" "HDR" "Super Makro" etc...And in this tab you can choose "Zeitlupe" and change trough all the FPS settings available, if its not there you can also add some features on the drop down menu
@@khalid17739 Mine does. Though I have the chinese variant that in general seems to be more up 2 date in terms of camera tuning.
I suspect this is the EMUi13 global variant that is running sadly an older piece of software for the camera tuning still as those results remind me of the first week with my Mate where it was behaving quite bad in everything regarding camera.
Now after all updates its way better than what we can see here. Low light ultrawide for example and also the magente/red tint is fixed

You didn't tried Physical Aperture mode on huawei in Pro Mood. It will make a huge difference as DXOMARK explained in detailed article.
Yeah. He should check it as it would make some difference. This seemed so “Appleish” and bias. I have an iphone 14 pro and recently bought the mate 50 pro. And just to share for photos, the mate 50 impressed me alot. For video apple is still the king. But for photos😏 especially on low light its for Huawei mate 50.
If we had to use the Pro mode for each phone, we'd also have to play around with the values for each of them, which would make it not about the cameras and the softwares, but the settings and the photographer. Some also ask for RAW photos - which we'd have to edit them and it would even make less sense for a comparison. Also, variable aperture is really cool, but the physical variation of the aperture only happens between f/1.4 and f/4 - so it really wouldn't make much of a difference in the overall quality of the photos. We will try to talk about it if we review the phone again though!

@Maximino maybe they should, but this is what brands are offering, their best product competing with other brand flagships no matter the price. If something cost twice and is just 20% better but you can (and want) pay for the best of the best, you will probably do it.

They have added an additional feature to it, you must try it, compare with iPhone and make another video. Many people looking for Pro Camera Usage and Results especially in low light and Astrophotography.

It always depends on the lighting and conditions. Some phones do better or worse in different circumstances. It's up to you to watch different videos and decide on which one you prefer, because everyone takes different types of photos and videos in different places!

It is about consistency; the iPhone may never win in portraits, but it will do well and be consistent. Depending on various variables, the S22U or Pixel 7 Pro will vary from photo to photo.
I think during zoom they blurred out huaweis camera it is really impossible

What a terrible camera comparison... I mean you only seem to care about colour cast and nothing else. You don't even look at details/sharpness, speed of focus, noise, etc
We actually do! I'm pretty sure I even used the words 'detail', 'sharpness', 'clarity', 'blur' etc. multiple times in the comparison.
@@Versusdotcom you did a couple of times but far from consistently from photo to photo. Most of the time you seem to have decided which photo you preferred judging only by the colour cast. This is not only subjectively, it is also something that in most cases can easily be changed. Detail and noise are far more moe important as they cannot be changed without deforming the image. Sorry if I came out too aggressive in my previous message, but as a professional photographer I get annoyed when comparisons are made like that.

The only reason why you should pick up a Chinese phone over one other is because you like the frame more or you like the skin that comes with that android device. They lag behind when it comes to photos is many respects. A pathetic zoom lens, a far inferior wide lens camera to many android devices. The main camera is almost on par with the best but still lags noticeably behind xiaomi, oppo and even huawei in my opinion. You obviously live in your iPhone buble and know very little about other phones.

It strange how camera comparisons done using subjective Media/UA-camr methods "who are not laboratory photography professionnals" are more favourable towards iPhones.
Then, camera comparisons using objective professionnal laboratory methods like DXOmark are more favourables for Huawei phones.
2 possible reasons for such discrepencies :
1. When normal media or streamers do tests "without the help of a professionnal photography laboratory like DXOmark", those media's opinions are heavily influenced by advertising and the brand.
Contrary to laboratories.
In which Case, I expect Chinese brands to always lose because of the rivalry image they have against the USA.
2. When non photography professionals do tests, their priorities are completely different from what professional laboratories know the consummers really want.
Streamers hav different needs from casual users. Hence the bias on UA-cam.
Dxomark has NEVER been a good source of information since their points go to the brand that put more money on the table.
They have their pictures in full resolution tho, so it's good if you want to evaluate the pictures for yourself.
But I would recommend gsmarena, they don't usually make camera comparison but they have the reviews samples on full size. (And the pictures look natural)
Photography is subjective, so preferences should not be taken as gospel, just personal likes. There is no grand conspiracy; for the core user, all these phones are overkill for photography, and any deviation from that, would be seen as nitpicking or fandom favourites.

That's underestimating the honesty of French professionnalism.
@@andyH_England I agree totally. This is why I tend to prefer hard fact numbers about a photo taken inside a laboratory over a person saying "this looks better".
Like when the laboratory produces the curve representing the level of saturation by lumens units, etc...
Of course, even this is far from perfect, I know, but it's still better.

i dont agree with zoom quality of mate 50 pro..i use mate mate 50 pro for the past 1 month.the zoom quality was comparable to s22 ultra which is my previous phone..for 30x zoom pic still look good.number still clear n readable
We had a lot of problems with the software, that's the reason. No doubt it works better than this, but it just didn't work properly when we were trying it out and that's kind of Huawei's problem because of their software.

The camera flare is really circumstantial, to be honest - we have this issue in at least a couple of photos with every phone we use. It happens. There is so much more to focus on in that photo. The slight jittering is on every phone as well, don't you think?
@@Versusdotcom Of course the jitter is in every phone. But praising the iphone is leaps and bounds ahead of android phones in video quality, I just dont see it. Also, a suggestion while talking about the difference in quality of the video, a zoomed sample would be much appreciated, instead of a side by side 4 way comparison.

Не сравнение а позор) у Айфона лицо в серых тонах и 4 бала, серьезно?) Какой смысл ставить х3 на Хуавей когда оптический зум составляет x3.5. до х3.5 у Хуавей кроп с основного модуля. Пересмотрел на Ютубе обзоров под 50 , единственное где уступает Хуавей это в видео и то в стабилизации. Такое ощущение что обзор делал слепой
These are too bad results for Huawei. Someone here doesn't like Huawei or definitely doesn't know how to work with it. This is not the first time we have seen bad results on this channel. We have 3 Huawei phones in the house and I can definitely say that they are beasts.
We point the phone and take a photo, and the color accuracy is just not correct. What else should we do? 😄

Benchmark channel has the same big test as yours and Huawei mate 50 pro got very good marks.
Other phones in the test were Iphone 14 pro max, Samsung s22 ultra, Motorola edge 30 ultra, Vivo x80 pro and Xiaomi 12s ultra.

Huawei has greatly reduced its investment in its phones and will, in due course, not sell them outside China soon. I suspect that they spend much less on software, and over time you will see them fall further and further behind. It is sad to see, but the US Gov is doubling down on sanctions, and it could get worse; maybe now I can see a time when Huawei no longer makes smartphones. I certainly would not buy one with these warning signs.
