    3:25 Wait so it's true that reality will literally bend itself and change just so a photon travelling a greater distance than a straight path will still be able to traverse the distance in the same time as a photon travelling in a straight path??! That's actually ridiculous wtf. Is this proven that reality is bending or is the inherent property of a photon that's doing something? This is extremely interesting.

    • @jfandersson3223
      @jfandersson3223 2 роки тому +27

      Reality itself is bending. The photon is merely light in form of energy in form of a particle. This has been widely known for many decades now, and it’s been proven empirically time and time again that Einstein’s general theory of relativity, which gave rise to the concept, is correct.

    I really appreciate this channel because it does make an effort to make such complicated things intelligible. I started to study these issues, including theory of everything, after I read that a group of economists wanted to say that rational choice theory is the theory of everything in social sciences. Being a student of the history of economic thought and economic methodology, I'm pretty used to arrogant statements like that, but after studying quantum physics as well as a layman can, it baffles me how economists don't really understand what current physicists do. Again, thank you Skynet!

      Then we stumble across things like time dilation and dark matter, which find no explanation on quantum level, and quantum tunneling and entanglement, which break the relativistic principles of speed of light and relativity of events.

(as it's all we'll ever know, we'll see everything we will. duh) And the further you look out, the larger, but still relatively mundane the building blocks of the universe get, same as looking closer at the smallest components of it all. One thing is for certain through all space and time we can comprehend, literal everything is composed of the qualities of 3 shapes: The Circle / All and Nothing, The Square / Temporary Order, and The Triangle, Direction and Purpose.

    Hey I was thinking Like if we take every basic rules in both theory and then say that gravity is the by product of the basic rules reacting to each other and like if we draw a triangle and say that each corner I a rule or energy or something then we start with 2d space in it all force are balance having 33.33% then we ask where did 00.01% go of course it would be at middle but as 00.01%is net very much it's effect are not that much but if we move form 2d to 3d space then it get mass or you could say more energy in some way or another and the previous 3 energy were in equilibrium will not be effected because they already have a solid hold of there energy but the 00.01% was effected because .......(we'll do I even have to explain why the energy increased cant you imagine it as taking the drawing you made and then taking it out of the page like a real pyramid or Tetrahedron the 4th side that came out can be considered the 00.01% energy which is now an rule we call gravity ) if you have any questions or want to just talk everyone is welcome roat me or whatever for this crappy Idea 😂😁😳🥺

    Also, contrary to popular belief. Scientifically, both sides of a contradiction can be (and often are) true. Anomalies are the perfect example, as they do exist within reality despite the scientific knowledge that suggests it shouldn't or couldn't. This is because, quite possibly, the universe isn't indefinitely stable. Although, for the most part, might be.
    And don't confuse this as a negation to my earlier assertion that reality is (or rather may be) a simulation. Because, even simulations could be faulty.
    Hell, maybe what is and what may be are contradictions. The universe is one giant contradiction. I've finally figured it out.

  • @Daniel-ew5qf
    @Daniel-ew5qf 3 роки тому +8

    I also think that infinities in physics can actually be the key to understanding reality, because it gives us a certain point within the theory of a certain aspect of reality, that represents the fundamentality of existence itself(which I think is what infinity is essentially), which means that these infinities signal us something that is extremely important within the nature of reality itself-an absolute point. To me, infinity seems like a signal that you are getting closer and closer to the fundamentals of existence.
    For example, what if Virtual particles have Infinite energy, but infinite energy solely NEEDED FOR ITS OWN EXISTENCE that after coming into existence then encompasses a certain amount of non-infinite energy. This only tells us that existence needs infinite energy, and not that virtual particles have infinite density or energy-even after being able to come into existence-that will make itself collapse into a singularity. I can thus deduce that they only exist because of a force way greater than energy requires it so: existence.

    Well thinking of it if a universe ends forever then the so called theory of everything is pointless 😑

  • @straypaper

    Let me try to make sense of those. Basically when you dissect something until you can't dissect them anymore, you get little balls of power you see in quantum physics. The little balls of power play nicely with each other using 3 out of the 4 fundamental forces because that last one is usually negligible at that scale. However, when gravity returns to the equation, suddenly the balls of power get screwy. So we're forced to either:
    1. Accept that our model for the interactions in the universe is separated, with 3 of them applying to little balls of power, and 1 of them applying to big balls of power. Basically admitting defeat by saying we can't make sense what we observe.
    2. Make new theories to explain how gravity fits with the other three, therefore explaining how absolutely everything works.
    And we came down to two theories:
    1. The Loop Gravity says gravity isn't one of the 4 forces, but instead is one of the little balls of power. So when a little ball got screwed by bending space, it's not actually because of one force playing hooky, but because it's interacting with another little ball of power.
    2. The M-Theory says there's no such thing as forces or little balls of power. Instead, everything is a specific point of 11 layers of fabrics. What we see as little balls of power is just a specific wrinkle on the fabrics in a certain combination, in such a way that the wrinkle exhibits the properties we observe. What we see as forces is also just a wrinkle in a certain combination. What we think as an interaction between two little balls is actually just a series of wrinkles standing side-by-side.
    So our task is to either prove that gravity really is a little ball of power and not a force, or prove that everything is a wrinkle. Problem is we can't isolate gravity yet to see if it's actually a ball or a wrinkle because it's too heckin small. But will we ever be able to isolate it at all? For all we know the base component of gravity might be infinitely small. That means you need to chop up space an infinite number of times, and I'm not talking about infinitely chopping, but ACTUALLY FINISH making an infinite number of cuts. That would take as much time as the monkey typing up Hamlet!
    Edit: Those physicists should've named the Loop Quantum Gravity theory "Balls and Force Theory" and M-Theory "the Wrinkle Theory" instead. Much more intuitive.

    wouldn’t nothing be infinite? the existence of nothing would be infinite since there’s always the existence of non existence and if nothing isn’t infinite that means there will always be something so the existence of something would also be infinite meaning infinity is real and not just an error in maths.

    Saying gravitons creating self sustaining loops of force reminds me of black holes .
    But wait if gravitons are space it self doesn't that mean there's only 1 existing as a wave though out space ? and if there's only 1 what happens if you try to measure its velocity or momentum ? would its momentum need to be the speed of light ?and since the speed of light is constant it would have to be distorting space or something. When measuring its position it would probably be multi dimensional or something if there's only 1
    its fun writing stuff like this down when high XD i'm gonna come back later and not realize any of what I was talking about.

    I think I have a idea? What if the strong force, that we observe with glueons on the quantum level.. is all that we need. Just with a added perspective. When grouped together to make massive objects, the strong force that at the quantum scale was the essential force to hold matter particles together. So in a sense, shouldn't that be exactly what we need for matter to form into big heavy objects at all? Say this force is scalable? And maybe it behaves in a manner of a force similar to how magnetism is a force on its own and it seems to play hand in hand with gravity..? So take the strong force, on its own it's only able to hold particles inner building blocks together, but maybe if you scale things up to consist of such insane amounts of matter (like the size of a single galaxy?) then maybe it starts exhibiting a force and that force is gravity and even more so, say we don't even fully understand the force of gravity yet? And we don't need to rely on dark matter and hoping to discover that someday because that's maybe not been working out that well as of yet, sadly. With not finding answers leads us to strive to look differently at a question tho? So is it possible that the gravity we think we know, has a lot more variables to it then we ever could of imagined? Like the effect of gravity of our sun and it's solar system might turn out to be completely different then the way the force of gravity plays out in a Entire Galaxy? That's not even yet considering what black holes could be adding to the effects of the force? It doesn't stop at a single galaxy, that force scales up to eventually incorporate all galaxies and groups of matter anywhere in the universe. All from the quantum strong force because without it, it wouldn't even be possible to make objects that massive ? And look at magnetism, it might be achieved by a bunch of small things that arrange themselves in a north south pole structure, and it's kinda weak but can be scaled up and up and up and all from a combination of a ton of quantum level particles that are north south polarized aligned but it creates this force. Maybe gravity is very similar but related to the "Strong force" and maybe our math about Dark Matter is incorrect because of our lack of understanding of gravity and how it behaves on these insane Universal Galactic sized levels? Just maybe it could be something like this but I'm probably very wrong because I'm no astrophysicists or mathematical theoretical physicist? But it's always fun to ponder about things 🪐

      Cant really answer all of this, but i think the strong force is very weak outside of an atom. If it was somehow stronger like you are saying, wouldnt that mean that all protons and neutrons (maybe just neutrons because of this coulomb thing) would just merge together spontaniously?
      Not an expert, but im doing some nuclear Chemistry at the moment. please feel free to correct me
