All the double dash Tracks will be easy to place and all the super Mario Kart as well, all the Mario Circuits, all the donut plains, choco island, vanilla lakes and Koopa beaches will be really close to each of their respective siblings
This is a very interesting video idea that not many people think about, ive always wondered what the Mario World would look like if the placement of maps made since, nice video!
The thing is that I don't think all the tracks are within the Mushroom Kingdom or at least not around the same land mass. Sunshine Airport, for example, it's based on Mario Sunshine, so I think it's safe to assume that it's on Isle Delfino, maybe as an updated version of the Delfino Airstrip of Mario Sunshine. The Bowser Castles are Bowser's property and based on his kingdom, which in most Mario games, is the furthest away from the Mushroom Kingdom on a completely different part of the world. There are probably a lot more examples of this, but you get the idea.
Bowser doesn’t live in his own kingdom, save “Bowser’s Kingdom” in Mario odyssey. He just lives in the volcano region of the mushroom kingdom, hence the reason goombas, native mushroom kingdom defectors, are part of his army. He just wants to take over the *rest* of the mushroom kingdom.
@@MrMindCloud That makes no sense. How can there be more than 2 kings in the same kingdom? Bowser has always been the King of the Koopas, his name in japanese literally translates to "King Koopa", and in the rest of the games there is never a "volcano region", in fact, most of the time they are referred as different worlds, which it's probably the way to call countries in the Mario universe. And Odyssey is not the only time a Bowser Kingdom is directly called like that, for example, the last world of Yoshi's Island is Koopa Kingdom.
@@_MrMoney Koopa’s are an invasive species. Bowser was raised on Yoshi’s island island by kamek, insinuating that the koopa’s invaded and took over the island at some point. In Yoshi’s topsy turvy, bowser was cast out of Yoshi’s island and essentially sealed from returning from what I remember. He then goes, with his army, to the nearest country, dinosaur land, and sets roots there. One could argue that dinosaur land is the “main country” of bowser, but even so, bowsers castle is depicted as part of the mushroom kingdom in several games. (It’s depicted as a connecting castle or region in Mario Luigi partners in time, bowsers inside story, paper jam, etc.) In fact, it’s insinuated, (or perhaps even stated? I can’t remember) that Bowser is a resident of the mushroom kingdom in several of the rpg games. He’s not a 2nd king to the mushroom kingdom. He’s king of the koopas exclusively- his own nomadic people.
@@MrMindCloud Yoshi's Island is part of Dinosaur Land. Dinosaur Land is what the whole Super Mario World map is called, while Yoshi's Island is just World 1 of said map. And it's not like Dinosaur Land is a country in itself, so it could perfectly be part of the Koopa Kingdom. There isn't just a Bowser Castle, there are several. It makes sense that he owns several on the outskirts of the Mushroom Kingdom if his aim is to invade it, just not his main one. In any way it still doesn't make sense that all the tracks are within the same land mass or kingdom.
Double Dash would make this even more fun, due to the whole interweaving thing they did in that game. Actually, now that I think of it, the whole series could be merged into one map and it end up making some sense.
I love interconnectivity In games, just the idea of every area being connected in some way is really awesome, this should be implemented in the next Mario kart in some way honestly
1:46 those numbers seem completely random, as we already know (from other sources) that the DK archipelago is further away than a lot of the other tracks. I wouldn’t use it as concrete evidence

imagine a map with every location thats canonically in the mushroom kingdom from every game in the series (core platformers, 3d platformers, paper mario, mario and luigi, warioware, mario kart, mario golf... it would be wild. at that point there would probably even be enough information to create a rough map of surrounding kingdoms as well)
SNES Donut Plains 3 and SNES Rainbow Road are the only ones placed weirdly. Donut Plains is a level in Super Mario World, and Super Mario Kart is heavily based off of that game. So it seems obvious Donut Plains 3 on Dinosaur Land. Additionally, the ground below Rainbow Road is very clearly styled the same, suggesting it’s nearby.
I would be interested in seeing what a map for the other games would look like. Double Dash would probably be the most realistic to do since many tracks in that game have background elements from other tracks. As far as the other games, good luck. Some tracks have sponsors (those advertisements you sometimes see on the side while racing) so perhaps track links can be made through that somehow in some cases. This is a really interesting idea that has a lot of potential. I tried to make a map for the whole series in the past but it never got anywhere because I overthought it lol. I seriously doubt you’ll attempt to make a map for the entire Mario Kart series but if you do, I wish you luck.
I think that super bell subway may actually have a system of warp pipes in it. Although what would be the point of going through a subway if you can just use the pipes? Well, I only thought of the original warp pipe idea for how they got to rainbow road. I guess, maybe further warp distances might need bigger pipes and more safety precautions, which would explain the subway? Dumb theory but maybe.
Donut Plains is on Dinosaur Land/Dinosaur Island, which is near the Mushroom Kingdom, but not on it. The Sunken Ship in SMW is supposed to be a crashed Koopaling Airship from Super Mario Bros. 3, so that sets a theoretical range. I would assume most of the SNES tracks exist on Dinosaur Island (with some possible exceptions). Great job otherwise- some clever deductions!
I think you shouldn’t have limited yourself to just the Mushroom Kingdom. If you’re going to use Odyssey as a reference point, might as well use the whole world. The Bowser courses would obviously be in his Kingdom, Ice Ice Outposts seems like an arctic course, and couldn’t Sweet Sweet Canyon fit well in the Luncheon Kingdom?
A open world Mario Kart would be a great idea and I would definitely buy it if this would actually happen. This would be so awesome and a overlapping world in a racing game always reminds me on Cars for the home consoles. I love this game so much.
7:50. I think Sweet, Sweet Canyon isn't sweets but sandsculptures of sweets and other sandy stuff. Such as molten glass cuz... just cuz. I think it might also be beneficial in general to suspend disbelief since stuff like Magical Teleportation Pipes exist. Although stuff such as Planes actually do have a canonical appearance within the mario series to function as transportation between faraway places... It's also important to consider that places near the equator can have wildly different climates despite all being labelled within the same continent. The Indian Subcontinent is a great example of such. Also, your video did give me a great idea for a campaign setting.
I would actually guess that SNES Rainbow Road takes place near SNES Donut Plains and GBA Mario Circuit, as all of those courses have those similar rolling hills. Cloudtop Cruise could be near either Thwomp Ruins or Mario Circuit (8) due to the rock color. As for Wario Stadium, you can see city buildings, so I think that it could be near Toads Turnpike, Electrodome, Mario Kart Stadium and Coconut Mall. For the other DLC courses, Sky Garden could take place near Cloudtop Cruise (judging by Airships). Toyko and Paris and just from the real world. Toad Circuit could also be somewhat near the SNES and GBA tracks due to the rolling hills, but thats a strech. Choco Mountain could be inbetween Grumble Volcano and Baby Park, due to the rock color. Ninja Hideaway could possibly be next to Moo Moo Meadows and Twisted Mansion, judging by the sky and mountains in the background. Shroom Ridge also could be near Thwomp Ruins. There's where I think everything is located
A lot of the subway locations are probably Warp Pipes that take you to places that would otherwise be inaccessible by train like Rainbow Road, DK Jungle, Bowser's Castle, etc.
Sweet sweet canyon could still be cold, even if it’s not located in a cooler area. That is, if it’s at a higher altitude, which considering we don’t see any grass there, it likely is pretty high in altitude.

that map of the mushrom city in the bell subway? it has a map legend listing the physical locations of the tracks. it's very blury but you make some out!
While a lot of people are mentioning the subway using warp pipes, another thing to note is that the lines on real life subway maps are inaccurate, only because it makes them easier to read.
Subways. Do you know what subways have? Rails. Do you know what runs on rails? Trains. Do you know where you can find trains? N64 Rainbow Road. That's the fast train that can go to MK8 Rainbow Road.

Sweet sweet canyon and sky high sundae being in the luncheon kingdom
And sherbert land and ice ice outpost are in the snow kingdom
As well as wild wood being in the wooded kingdom
I also deduced sky garden must be near luigi circuit as luigis circuit is beside an airstrip with blimps
Sky garden also has blimps with the same design, meaning it must be above luigi circuit
Wario goldmine is in sarasaland as daimond city is off the coast of sarasaland as well as the shy guys working there which places shy guy bazaar and shy guy falls near wario goldmine
Music park and rosalinas ice world are in space along with most rainbow roads
Many of the yoshi tracks as well as dino dino jungle are in dinosuar land
Places like pirahna plant pipeline and pirahna plant cove are also at the base of rock rock mountain
Ninji hideway and maple treeway are actually in the flower kingdom as ninji are most common in the desert are of the flower kingdom so i placed it between sunbaked desert and shining falls, and given the cherry blossom and autumn theming i also placed maple treeway ther as well since theres no autumn area in the mario universe
I didnt put the crossover tracks because theyre in a different universe of course, however if they were big blue and mute ciry would be placed near koopa cape
Broken peir, banshee boardwalk, ghost valley, and boo lake are obviously all near eachother and in fact nearly surround wario shipyard, which is only a while away from luigis mansion and twisted mansion
I deduced tick tock clock was likely in a clocktower in mushroom city (the travk and the gwneral area where a majority of toad tracks are) as it is confirmed the mario 64 paintings were just worlds brought to life by bowser for that game
As well as hetting all the race carts throught the castle, up the stairs, and into the tiny grandfather clock would be impossible
Mario raceway is actually in mario land, marios private island, although idr why i put it there
Ribbon road is inside of peaches castle due to the archetechture and how it reminds me of the opening cutscene of new super mario bros wii
Squeaky clean sprint and the city tracks arent on it aince ones a giant bathroom and the others are real world locations
However i guess the city tracks could all be spread across the metro kingdom
But the by far weirdest one is merry mountain
Hear me out
Its on bask island from mario tennis aces
And this is because of the snowy mountain area
There is a town there with a train that all looks eerily familiar to merry mountain, and theres no other snowy or mountainus areas with towns unlike mount wario which went into the main snow area of the mushroom kingdom
Let me know if you think any of these should be moved to a different location and why

Subways. Do you know what subways have? Rails. Do you know what runs on rails? Trains. Do you know where you can find trains? N64 Rainbow Road. That's the fast train that can go to MK8 Rainbow Road.
This was a brilliant video
Hello, I just Subscribed and I liked your videos and I am 29 years old.
I love Super Mario games. Awesome video, Nicobbq!
Nico Cursed! HE SAID THE F WORD!

Or maybe they're just stops that take you to a different train (or spaceship for rainbow road)
How many peach’s castles have they built exclusively for race tracks
My headcanon is that (most of) Mario Kart 8 takes place in an enormous theme park which is why a few locations don't make sense, such as Sweet Sweet Canyon being near a hot location. It doesn't melt because it's all fake
Ik Mario Kart doesn't have to make sense, but when the game itself tries to build the world it's in, a few questions being raised is natural
There’s another planet outside of the solar system that looks a LOT like Earth, so that could be where Mario lives.
This is really cool like honestly I would never think about something like this.
Ive always had this idea, cool to see a vid on it
6:40 I think they were probably referring to the N64 or SNES version of the track, not the one in space.
This is a really good and interesting video idea and I think the map looked great It actually made sense and I and it’s actually might be Canon who knows it could be but you should do more videos like this Nico love your videos watch them every Friday
now imagine what this would like with EVERY MARIO GAME
Glad we got this out of the way
I feel like I should do this but with SM3DW levels because they aren’t really connected well.
QUEBEC
This should get alot of views
My explanation for Rainbow Road in Super Bell Subway is that it’s N64’s. You take the magic train to get there
The dlc tracks exist
