Nice one Archie, what I like most about this video is the respect you are showing the track, we all know how fast you can drive, but you drove at 60% of your capability as you wanted to learn the track it’s underlaions, each corner etc, you didn’t rely on your skill to get you around, you did what you would do at any racetrack and that’s build up the pace as each lap comes around. Yes you could have gone faster but you didn’t need to. + it’s your own car, I’m sure your insurance would have been null & void whilst on the ring and you wanted to come home safe. A race day would be completely different and that would have had practice laps, qualifying and then the race. Have you thought about doing the 24hr race at the ring, it would be a good test and seat time leading up to Le Man. I would love to see you have a lap with Mischa either as a passenger or as him instructing you. You are not too proud to take advice from someone who knows the track like the back of his hand. It would be the same as Mischa coming over to Silverstone and you guiding him round. Just because you’re a racing driver and can get the most out of a car that most of us couldn’t doesn’t make you less intimidated or nervous of the ring.👍🇬🇧
Awesome seeing your car on that great track Archie.Wasn’t a big fan of the m2 when it first came out but what you’ve done to yours has changed my opinion of it,your car is beautiful, fast, practical, good looking, aggressive & also the interior is top notch.
What! No comments yet... Archie, good to see you driving around 'The Ring,' no reference to anatomy of any kind. Did you consider taking a Ring Taxi for familiarisation purposes? They could have talked you through it all in terms you would certainly understand. Maybe too expensive, never been there.
I was told by a local instructor that in general it’s encouraged to not indicate and just stay to the right hand side, so that’s why you see some people not using indicators when letting you through. In a recent Misha video he had to take avoiding action due to a car indicating, but then cutting across the track to take a tighter line through a corner - think it was his video in a track prepped mk8 GTI if you fancied seeing it
Forget a lap with Misha as suggested below. He's a great chap (met him). Do it yourself. I've been going for twenty years and know the track well. As you say just keep going round. My advice is do not race on Tourist days, I've found that every lap is an education.
I’m not sure how the Nurburgring works, but am I right in thinking you drove all the way there to do two laps? Or will there be more track footage of the M2 coming?
Sensible caution. V experienced racer I competed with years ago went out there to try The Ring after winning our championship. Came home to the UK in a medi flight helicopter after a massive accident.
My first lap saw an Evo Mitsubishi engulfed in flames , next day saw same guy crash 2 GT3’s and other numerous crashes, it’s a great track/ place but it can bite hard 🤔
cars like this were engineered at the Nurburgring. Even though you are a skilled driver, unfortunately cars like this are setup to be so automatic and computerized to handle this kind of environment that they can't possibly be engaging. You don't look like you are even really trying. It would be great to drive this in a car that's ACTUALLY involving the driver like a 1M or an older 911 or even a classic car----but i don't think these current generation cars capture the spirit of true driver engagement. If they did----you wouldn't be talking and relaxing!! :)
Archie you can do better than that you’re meant to be a racing driver and that was shocking your to hesitant to over take others, watch the way the pros do it
You should start investing on Sim Racing such as Assetto Corsa, R Factor, I Racing(not Grand Turismo or Forza). It will help you learn the proper racing lines, better your technique and will give you a better idea on what to expect before actually attending race tracks.
Surely we get a passenger lap with Misha?
Was going to comment the exact same thing…
Archie’s screaming would shatter the glass!
I would not dare to have Misha drive my car. He keeps crashing
@@dam00r fair. But he's crashing his own cars which he is pushing much harder than any of the cars he drives in the videos that owned by other people
Or instruction lap with Misha
Well done Archie knew you wouldn't put it in the wall, hope Tony went round safely as well
Archie we want to See Misha from Apex driving with you at the Ring😂 setting New Records both of you😂😂
Damn what a high standard of driving out of the pit from you Archie, huge respect
Should of gone to apex and asked misha to drive it round for you then your see what that beast is capable off with a very seasoned driver
Great vid Archie. A lap with Misha would be great! Either with him driving or him in the passenger seat giving you tips

Great content Archie... what tyres??
Excellent.
Well done, it looks like you really enjoyed it. Was it anything like going around the 24 hours of Lemans circuit, because of the length of it?
Now you know how fast Misha is
Very cool

2/10 for prep dude. 😂
Good effort thereafter 🤛
Archie x Misha collab?
AmaIng how a pro driver can look like a noob compared to an amateur driver like Misha (soon to be pro)
I'm glad you finally got to some laps there, but Archie...you know you weren't even close to flat out. Why put that in the title mate?
Shmee or Misha lap please Archie….. or JCR of course…….
Sorry mate, but u drive like a grandmother sometimes.. u should practice on your simulator before u go again, but well done!
🤘😎🤘

Why didn't you stow all the junk rattling around and take that phone mount of the windscreen?
Go to Apex man… ver some laps with Misha !!!
Read somewhere that he's an ex racing driver? If so, why does he drive like that 😢
Misha!
Mr Carrera Cup is scared on 'the ring'? Seriously?
On an unfamiliar track laced with the general public, no safety systems in the car……😊
@@markevans3488 and street tyres as well... lol
Only a complete lunatic is not scared by The Ring
Deffo need a lap with Misha
