    I'm very seriously considering horticulture as a second career. So active and physical, but so rewarding it seems. Thanks!

    I love how you say Horti is for every one when I was considering and looking to get outdoors more.

    Please do more videos like this ! It’s really cool to see gardening in action also how long does it take each day and how many different gardens do you normally tend ?

      Will do! I normally do 1-2 gardens per day either 8 hours or two 4 hour slots :)

    Great video thank you. I'd love to transition to this line of work and your channel is perfect for me atm. Maybe a bit of a nosey question but I'll try my luck anyway, do you ever struggle to fill the diary? Or do you find the opposite effect? I'd love to know how you built up your current client base and whether or not you do any advertising to keep that work coming in.
    Thanks again. Your channel is small but I'm sure every subscriber is super appreciative of your work!

      Thank you for watching! I've personally never had trouble with filling my diary, people need gardeners and landscapers all the time. I've often had wait lists of people and other gardeners/landscapers are currently taking bookings for 2022. I've also never had to advertise, word of mouth has been the only way I've met clients (aside from them finding me on social media which I guess is actually advertising too!). As long as you do a good quality job and are reliable, you will get customers easily. :)

      True, word of mouth is the best advertisement, and it's free!

    Cool video! How much to do make as self-employed compared to when you are employed as a gardener?

    • @owensoutdoors6142
      @owensoutdoors6142  3 роки тому +6

      Thanks for watching! ☺️ I made between £8-10 per hour as an employed gardener but I was also younger. It would be up to £15 if I was employed now. Currently self employed I earn between £20-25 per hour.

    This is an awesome video. I'm thinking of launching a career in gardening and it's great to see not only another queer person in the field but also the day to day parts of the job. Kia ora from Aotearoa New Zealand!
