Nice... Got to see The Police around 1981 in the Seattle Coliseum... Hanging around Seattle Center, knocked on the glass door and someone kicked it open and friend and I walked in - Huey Lewis and the News was playing and up came J. Giles Band & The Police... Didn't intend to sneak in... but what a killer concert!
Growing up in high school in the 70's made the splash of the Police reign in the 80's a true breath of fresh air. I love Canary in a Coal Mine from Zenyatta Mondata (#3) and Walking on the Moon from Outlandos D'Amour (#1). Great lesson, a gifted band.
Synchronicity II is my fav to play. You should show what effects your using on these Police songs, that’s a big part of their sound is Andy’s tone/effects. Are you using Chorus, Flange, the Mistress? I blend my chorus and phase 90, it’s real close, I know he used the Mistress the most. Thanks for sharing these!!

regatta de blanc for walking on the moon
Moon is on regatts de blanc
Good lesson and great playing as always.
Yo John, nice work! Love all Police. Synchronicity 1 has some of Andy’s most brilliant guitar work. And of course, Murder by Numbers. Andy Rules! 😊
We want to do this song in our band. I've recently subscribed to this channel but only found this tutorial today. Thanks Jon, that's great.
This one is my all time favorite Police song thank you so much for the lesson\,,/
Great tutorial of this popular, The Police 80's tune...
Nice interpretation of a classic song. The upstroke rhythm is almost like (second wave) ska.

4 hits on the Am, then 2 on the G and 2 on the Em. You were hitting the Em three times.
Every Step You Take one of my favorites. So many great Police songs.
Is that a Fender Telecaster Elite?
Contact on the regetta de Blanc album ✌️
How did you achieve the tone?
