I have to say, Blaster makes a great product (products), a day doesn’t go by that I don’t use one of them. Their lithium grease is irreplaceable here on the ocean. Stops the salt from seizing everything. Great channel, thanks for the content. Be well, and God bless.
My knees are pretty bad too and yesterday I had my second full hip replacement. Hopefully in a few days I can get back to working on some projects but what I really want to mention is those foam interlocking panels for gyms as they are knee friendly and my choice to lay on when I'm under whatever I'm working on as I just have an ATV lift I got at the dump and fixed. Those foam panels also make my compressor quiet enough to not wake anyone up at three am. Edit: I restore Weber grills to donate and need a degreaser that's safe so I will be ordering a case as oven cleaner isn't meant for what you cook directly on and smells like cancer.
I use gass and sawdust put petrol/gass on the oil stain tip sawdust on it sweep it in then sweep it up, looks like new concrete, the suspension is looking great, all the best to you and your loved ones
I have an Odyssey I've recently completed. Im contemplating either an electric bike motor for a reverse or I have a mower with a starter and a flywheel I may be able to mount on the axle and use push button to engage the solenoid and reverse the kart.
Great job on working with a sponsor I know it helps out. You do such amazing engineering on you style of bulds and so helpful on explaining on what type of products you use ,very grateful. Thanks and have a great weekend. ✌️😎
A lot of vehicles I do alignments on have bushings like that on the rear control arms and they have tie rods that can adjust toe to some degree. Your right about those bushings having flex in them. They flex enough to adjust toe about 2 degrees
Got that right. The plastic he's talking about using will work but will still wear out pretty quick. Three heim joints, one on top and two on the bottom outside of the knuckle(not spindle), would be a better longer lasting solution.
Greg You are one blessed man to have the setup you have with your family. How are they handling the living Quarter's for housing. I'm sure your son is fine with it BUT the ladies not sure how they are handling it. I love watching your videos and as you say at the end of all your videos (God Bless you and your family)
I wish you would have showed how you finished off the center hub. Like how you connect the axles to it and how you keep the hollow bar in place as well as how you connect the axles to the spindle hubs.
You can buy those exact bushings and dom tube your talking about making from Ruff Tuff Specialty's. I have bought many a set and have even made engine mounts out of them before.
One big note when you using citrus base products is ventilation!!! Got this info from our chemical seller, the reason why you have to have good ventilation when using citrus based products is that the citrus substance is such small particles that you can breathe them in & they literally dissolve your brain over time if you frequently use that type of product with substandard ventilation, may be worth thinking about as the brain is made up largely of fat molecules & citrus-based products dissolve fat really well.
As always I really enjoy your fabrication / design build videos.Their quality sets your channel apart from the others. You've inspired me to purchase a TIG welder to complement my other welders. I'm looking forward to learning a new skill. I am currently building an off road kart/buggy ( inspired by you) and am just about ready to to roll the frame upside down to complete the welding.
I think when you factor in the added weight of the vehicle the lower gearing may be necessary for the engine-which though it makes decent horsepower, it makes fairly low torque, and torque is what moves weight. Plus, if it really does turn out to be geared too low, he can always put bigger wheels and tires on it! WINNING!
There's rubber,or polyurethane which is a plastic. Those are must more stable and used to stiffen older suspension by replacing the rubber bushings.Anywho...That looks like it's coming along pretty well. It'll be tearing up the woods in 3 weeks? Can't wait to see the SEMA cart.By now it's going to take allot of cleaning to get the rust off before painting.Should be interesting to watch.
The plastic goes by the trade name Delrin. I buy it in 2 inch thick sticks that are 36 inches long. They are pretty cheap and you can make a lot of bushings with that.
I feel like if I was fortunate enough to have a shop like yours I would never leave it ( except testin on things 🤣). Amazing work you're doing here, loving this build. I think having to add those washers was just an improvement overall, doubling the wall thickness on those bolt eyes will add some years to them for sure. Thank you for all the effort to record, edit, and upload all this great content, its nice for guys like me to get to live the fab life vicariously. Also you're awesome for always adding product links, its that type of effort and attention to detail that sets a channel a notch above the rest.
Hey, so this is a little off topic, I’ve got a Coleman 200 ex mini bike with a cvt followed by a 60 tooth rear sprocket from go power sports (it’ll do 40 with a bone stock predator 212 and pop a wheelie with my 6’4 230# self on it) My big question is- Have you ever seen one of these with a transmission on it? It would be cool to have a couple extra gears…
Hey Red Beard, I have been working on a predator 301 build on a mini bike of mine that is idling too high, or in some ways, not at all. I have installed Go Power Sports stage 1 kit, and jetted the carb. I have also put a Go Power Sports 40 series CVT on there, similar to the build you posted about 4 years ago, which I took heavy inspiration from. Do you have any tips for me in terms of fixing the high idle?
I had a prob. With my st.1 301 kit, stock carb with gov. Disconnected, the jet I got with it was way........too rich.would not idle smooth, and would not Rev fully up.pulled plug and pure jet black soot, right, too rich, put stock jet in and it was perfect, and it ain't no slug. go Power was non communicado on technical help.may help you,but you probably got it fixed by now.red beard was not joshing when he said st. 1 kit on that engine w. A mini bike was all you need! Whew!
That looks awesome for one, and 2 I'm very happy I decided to watch this because I've been trying to figure out what the frick the cv joints are so I can do an independent suspension thing like that for when I eventually get the money to make my own go.kart
I think you are at the point where you should think about a street legal on road off road vehicle like the Ariel Nomad.. you can get GM ecotec turbo engines and transmissions from wrecked cobalts, cruize and other GM platforms.. I'm in the planning stage of doing just that.. something fun and economical with todays fuel costs in mind. and fast? Holy Moly.
I have a old mini sprint car frame. I was given it and don’t know anything about it. Pretty solid built frame. Have you @redbeard ever played with one of those. I feel like a mini sprint is very similar to your builds.
Any reason why I shouldn't make a kart/buggy out of square or rectangle mild steel? I think the round stock is cool looking but if square mild is good enough for Ferrari then I can't see any reason why I it would t be for a homebuilt buggy ..... besides aesthetics but I don't care about that one bit, just trying to chop saw & mig Thanks
Re: the blaster ad; I went to Home Depot and asked a 55ish y/o lady for penetration lubricant. She looked at me like I was a monster. I had to bring her the can and show her what I was asking for. I thought I was going to jail that day.
Langmuir needs to sponsor a cnc table to you

been watching for years... your getting professional~!
I use gass and sawdust put petrol/gass on the oil stain tip sawdust on it sweep it in then sweep it up, looks like new concrete, the suspension is looking great, all the best to you and your loved ones
one day can you talk about making a reverse system.. I use FWD trans carts for reverse!
I have an Odyssey I've recently completed. Im contemplating either an electric bike motor for a reverse or I have a mower with a starter and a flywheel I may be able to mount on the axle and use push button to engage the solenoid and reverse the kart.

I cant wait to see this thing rip looks like it's going to be wild
Should use the forks from the yz450 as it’s rear shocks and use some straps and bump stops to dial in your rear suspension travel.

This thing is gonna be sweet
Ever since I learned about PB Blaster there's nothing else I use as a lubricant, deadass. I use that shit on everthing.
I really want to see a mud mower build.
Polyurethane bushings dont deform at all compared to normal rubber and they're made for performance suspension use. It will work perfect as it is

Looks great! i would imagine that sprocket is gonna be way too big especially since the tire you put on will be much smaller than the dirtbike tire

@@Go69 and considering hes using a 4x100 hub, the wheels aren't going to be small off the start lol
That thing is gonna be fast with that super dirt bike motor!yeah buddy!

Again folks I cannot stress enough "don't eat it" even if it smells so good you want to, 😂!
God bless RBG

I don't leave unless I have to. lol Thanks for the kind words!
Great work Greg , will be really cool when done
Hope you don’t mind I refer to you as Professor Red Beard, I’m always learning something new with each episode. 🧐
Wow RB your tool selection is gettin pretty darn nice 👌
When we going to see more of the 883 harley sportster kart
LOL.I was going to ask too, just because he said it's coming home next week.

this looks insane
Not me watching this with a pair of Miata CVs next to my couch.. 🤣🤣💪🏾 Lets Go!
Hell yeah yall. Keep it up. Love every build and the content being produced. I have a can am rally project I'm working on.
You are going to like uhmw. Easy to machine and last forever. I've used it a lot as wear strip and chain guides
Still waiting for y’all to work on the diesel deuce again

Parabéns projeto lindo demais.
Dude, you need a CNC plasma cutter. With your fab skills, a Langmuir Crossfire Pro would be dangerous in your hands.
Put epoxy finish on the concrete floors....and the oil will not stain...
👍👍👍👍👍👍
More yz content please
Dam that thing is sickkk
Thoughts on swapping to a bronze bushing in there?
Red beard did you say you are 32 years old in this video
Do you have a link to the video when you built the wheel hubs?
🤣🤣 thank you blaster DONT EAT IT !!
Man I feel like I'm building my car in forza right along with you😂
How did you figure out your double wishbone A-Arm's?
A lot of trial and error over the years. We finally have it down pat in my opinion.
Every cross cart dudes i see they running mazda axles ... what year mazda?

Ok, so why didn't u drill out the small hole first? With this setup, u shouldn't need a pilot bit for hole saw.
Blaster I use diesel
I have a 1979 Honda Odyssey fL 250 & I need a rear end just like that 1 can I by one from you just give me a price
Nice mag drill. Please stop putting so much down pressure one the drill bits. Just trying to help out them 10aC boys
It looks like you separated the bearing races pressing it in...from my experience, it's not going to last long
