Good job Paul. I need to do that also on my R600. I had restrung my old Hallicrafters S-38B a few years ago with my fat fingers. It is a lesson in patience. Thank you for sharing this. Have a great day. 😊
Danny, Thank you for watching. Yes, fat fingers are a problem with this task. I have a Hallicrafters S-38A out in the garage waiting to be restored. However, I bought so much stuff lately, it's been moved to the back burner. 73 Paul AA1SU
Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment. It does look hard, doesn't it? I would have to watch it again before attempting it on another radio, which I plan to do. How's that Globe Scout coming along?
@@Capecodham Thanks. I will admit that I was terrified to this, or the caps for many years. I left it up to a guy that I met at NEAR-Fest to do it for me. In the end, I replaced more capacitors than he did. I have since sold this R600 but kept my first one. 73 Paul AA1SU

Thank you.
Paul
just did this myself - thanks for the video
Excellent! I'm glad that it helped.
I need help, my dad just left me this, and I want to listen to it.
See my reply to your other question.
I have a Zenith that needs to be restrung, this is way beyond me.

@@vtradio It looks impossible for me. You are a genius. It would-be easier to fix the Globe Scout without a schematic than restring this.
