Man, this feels like the longest we've had to wait in a while for another event.
I just met him two days ago! I had no idea who he was cuz I don't follow MMA, but he was there to say goodbye to a friend of ours who's moving out of state. Our friend told me who John is and how they met.
As we were chilling, talking, everyone was coming up to him asking to take a photo with him. So I had to check him out and see who he really is!
Damn, he's quick! I'll have to catch his New Year's fight! My friend will be out there with him!
At first glance, it's sad to see older fighters fighting but when they fight like this its awesome. Dotson's athleticism is crazy
It wasn’t a dive it was a business decision. Dodson was so much faster and connecting with ease. Bare knuckles can really hurt and he didn’t like the way some of those hits felt. He realized he was outmatched
I agree, Dodson is no where near famous enough to justify rigging a fight for him
For everyone thinking it’s fixed:
From what I can see, dude got socked right on his left eye socket. That’s a delicate area, especially getting hit bare knuckle.
Other than that, dude had no chance. Dodson has experience, explosiveness, athleticism, speed and power. Guy was gonna lose regardless, no need to fix this fight lol

tbh Dodson might just be the perfect man for this sport, he wasnt never the best wrestler but with this sport he just gets to use his 3 biggest weapons being fast hands, footwork & power so i see him being a BKFC champ in next 2yrs or less if he sticks with it

Dude just folded from pressure and speed he never even got cracked. He literally took a dive into the canvas intentionally. Id never pay to have that man fight or not fight again if I was a promoter. Sad sad stuff then he gets up thinks better and takes another knee. Realized how bad it looked and did some more terrible acting on his way to the canvas yet again.

He took a better shot in the very fist exchange. I think he couldn’t handle the speed or the blitz and he balked as soon as he could myself but we all have opinions and beliefs that suit what we see.

Not really. He stood up off reaction but realized he was still too hurt to continue. When you're under the effects of a concussion, your mind and body can act weird.
It didn't look like much of a punch, but it busted him open under his left eye. You could see him bleeding when he rolled over to get up. If you get hit with a bare knuckle in your eye, there's a good chance the orbital bone will break, and that results in a concussion as well.

This is an excellent example of how most southpaws need to fight. The lead hand is almost useless because they cross eachother and the rear hand is a long way from target so distance needs to be closed quickly. But when it lands, it lands hard.

A lot of comments on the guy quitting, and I'll admit it looked strange at first. But look at him before Dodson hit him with that left hand, then look at him as he rolls over with the ref counting. He was cut under his left eye from the left Dodson threw, which could have broken the orbital bone and / or caused a concussion.

This would be great if it allowed elbows kicks knees and throws and 45 seconds ground time to get a submission.
Leave the submission and ground time out. This isn't mma. Kicks maybe but in a separate division. Them throwing straight hands is the whole attraction.

In my humble opinion John Dodson had some of the best Boxing in UFC. He KOd TJ Dillshaw 1st rd, and knocked down Mighty Mouse multiple times. One of my favorite fighters.
