  • Closing in on the end of my Moab adventure i was ready for a different course of action. We had been running rocky trails for almost two week hitting trails like Top of the World, Hells Revenge, Behind The Rocks, Fins and Things, Moab Rim, and more. Brian Harris a Bronco Off-Roadeo stud told me about White Wash Sand Dunes north of Moab about an hour so we aimed our headlights for the sand. It was exhilarating getting to 100% open up the Ford Bronco Wildtrak for literally all it had. I gave it hell for hours running it full wide open throttle and let me tell your it thrives in these conditions just as good as it does in the rocks! It’s crazy how the truck plains on rough terrain like its just floating.

    The Wildtrak is a beast. I got mine last week and tried the Baja Mode for the first time today so much fun! This video was absolutely insane to watch!

    What a blast! Thanks, Chase. Some great footage of the Wildtrak doing what it does best: tear up the desert. Call me a geek, but some of that driver POV footage reminded me of the pod racing in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. Great sensation of speed and danger. Love it! Keep 'em coming. ;)

    Again - loving the variations of performance you're showing... love to see a little 'barrel racing' like the horses do at the rodeo course set up and see some competition - especially with the trail turn assist (that surface you're using looks perfect for it! That would be awesome! LOLOLOL

    Do the mode actually do anything like change the way it drives ?

    • @ChaseGentry
      @ChaseGentry  Місяць тому

      100%
      Sport is super torquey pretty much all all the time. Down shifts faster. I actually find towing in sport mode really enjoyable. The quicker down shifts work great slowing down. I’ve also done wide open runs sport hits limiter the fastest. Baja and sand are similar except Baja will hold 1st and second longer for high torque demands offroad scenarios. Very different in driving characteristics in power, transmission, and experience.

    Couple questions for you. Was your wildtrak stock for this video? And could you still these speeds in a two door? Or would you have more of a risk of rolling?

    • @ChaseGentry
      @ChaseGentry  Рік тому +1

      Yes it was 100% stock here. And yes you could still run those speeds with a 2 door however in whoops keep in mind a shorter wheel base could get a tad loose pending the terrain. Basically it’s subjective. In this video in that environment 100%

    What goat mode you're using at rock crawling?

    • @ChaseGentry
      @ChaseGentry  2 роки тому +1

      Same as before^ the Wildtrak does not have rock mode so I don’t use anything specific for rock.

    Which one feels more confident in the desert running, Mojave or wild track?

    • @ChaseGentry
      @ChaseGentry  2 роки тому +1

      Wildtrak. Mohave is definitely impressive though for solid axle. IFS definitely is FAR superior in this setting
