- My brand new 2021 RACE RED Ford Bronco Wildtrak was in desperate need of tint so I turned to the professionals for the task! A local 3M window film dealer and installer called D-Tronics specializes in computer cut and professionally installed 3M films. After discussing my needs and my travel habits IR Ceramic film was recommended for the two front windows and Crystalline for the windshield for ultimate UV rejection! While they did let me film and get a full demonstration on the process along with a behind the scenes look at operations this was not sponsored. I chose to pay and support a local business as I too own a business here in Harlingen as well. These guys were extremely professional and went above and beyond to get my Bronco dialed for me! 3M Ceramic IR side windows = blue tint shade. Crystalline front windshield = brownish tint. Sure hope you like the contrast in colors in the cabin.

How is your windshield holding to rocks? Mine got sprayed with rocks from 18wheeler driving to SPI got two good cracks.

Ceramic IR and crystalline are two different products. In the video at 10:19 he mentioned it’s Ceramic IR instead of crystalline. Did you mean to say you got the Ceramic IR? I’m just asking for clarification because I’m looking into the products! Thank you!!

Are you changing the tint on the windshield with each registration replacement? Also with the door glass sliding down when you open the door was that a problem with the tint as the glue cured! Dtronics are good people!

I have a friend that owns a tint business and I've been meaning to get the side window's on the bronco done. I don't believe we can do windshield tint here due to the laws ( which is dumb ) but I could be wrong. The tint really needs to be redone on my Cobra, that will probably come first.
If have ice on your window, can you use a ice scraper?

Looks sweet. I think I saw this bronco out past the Rio Hondo area? The only red wildtrak I've seen down here. I have a Bronco Raptor coming in as early as tomorrow. I'll be doing the same to the windows.

How much was it total? I have mine being built soon and was looking at ceramic tint and liking the idea of doing the windshield too. Texas heat isn't so friendly 😫
TEXAS heat is ruthless lol windshield was 250ish and side windows were about $200

I'm in Cali. And this high end shop wants to charge $975 for all 4 side windows & the back window. And another $500 for the front piece. By the way this is for a 2023 Subaru WRX.
What happens with front window chips ? Whole front windshield tint needs to be redone or?

Any idea of good dealer that can get me a Bronco like yours? I'm in ne okla and can't get one even on order but time is issue I could explain but having no luck. Just thought you might have some help possible
I do Tipton Ford in Brownsville TEXAS! Call and ask for Alexa tell her I sent you. OR Boggus Ford Harlingen TEXAS call and ask for Tanner, Double R, or Cody! Same tell them I sent you!
I believe they have plotters for PPF too, but some shops manually cut the film .

@@dwaynelewis7809 when I was younger that’s all I rocked was 5% however, now 5% in my opinion is way too dark at night time. Literally have to roll down windows back up.
Can I have a 4-5 inch dark tint at the top of the windshield and then add the 3M Crystalline tint over the windshield?

Honestly it’s was so CONVENIENT finding a local business that took extreme pride in what they were doing and it was priced reasonable. Typical that has not been my experience here where I live.

Tinting the windshield , maybe 6" on the top. The tint will distort your view, even the 3M.

No it doesn't. I have 3M Crystalline on all windows even the windshield. No distortion whatsoever. The only downside is the price. It was almost $2k dollars to do the entire vehicle.
I tinted my whole windshield with 3M Ceramic IR 70%. There is zero distortion using normal vision, put there is some color distortion when using polarized sunglasses.
