Hi Capt Kyle, it's funny every time I go to ask a question you answer it before I can ask 😂😂😂😂 but that's cool! Sure is a beautiful moonlit night on the river!!! Thanks for sharing
i was a deckhand on the mv frank phipps during the time the sprague needed to be tended to. The sprague broke in half and hte huge rams and boilers went into the yazoo channel. Last I heard they are still there. Diamond lady in McKeller is beached due to low water . There is a huge boiler on a sandbar a few miles north of tunica at the bend to memphis ( near the HV power lines crossing). I saw that from a small plane . Lots of wrecks , but most are rusted away.
Sounds like the old girl has some "Personality", a little rattle here and there. Very nice Captain. I really like these Trip Vlogs, it's cool to follow along on a map and pin-point exactly where you are, and see it through you view. Very Cool indeed !
Asian Beetles and yes. They get into everything especially when cold fronts start coming through this area. 363LMR. Actually never has problems with them on the river but sure do in my house on Morville Bend. I work that area. Midstream Capt. Crew changes, emergency transport and whatever is needed for 10 years now. Boat he's on I've been all over it. Every tow he just named I do buiness with. Midstream work on the fly is interesting 😆 to sat the least. Ran Merrick Jones and Eileen Bigelow last night. Canal and Ingram
when you guys have down time do you ever fish the mississipi ? i grow up in missouri used to fish the river in st. gen. about 10 miles up from were the ferry is up from chester ill. love to fish her my watch the muddy water flow. have a good day and stay safe
Just curious , when your waiting or shut down by river authority do you stick the bow on the bank and lightly push into it to hold or drop anchors ? And what’s your draft on the boat ? Last why not have a line in the water while waiting !!
I like your dialog on the levels and how they relate to year to year, The news always makes it seem like the end of the world. Would love to have you job. So how shallow of spots are you seeing?
Do you ever go boating when not working or is this all you need of the water? I used to long haul truck when not driving I wouldn't go anywhere is why I ask.
When I was green deckhand I ask that of an old captain. He asked me, “do you see the mailman go for a walk after work?”. Haha (I actually sold mine couple years ago)
I work for the largest distributor for Carlisle and Finch. You need any parts for that old light let me know
Interesting to hear your river stage comments. I am with the corps of engineers in Ohio and we are in fall drawdown so I’m sending you water!
Send it all. 👍🏻
btw did some research and found the wreck site of the Sultana is about a half mile from the river now and is a cotton field.

Checking in from Paducah. Good to see your new stuff, Captain.

40+ years old iv got a little speed wobble to me too. The camera doesn't do justice of the full moon lighting up sandbars at night.
Looks like a nice a/c unit on that M.V. I bet they take care of their crew.
won't have to wait too much longer. Good spat of rain coming for the upper ohio on thursday
Was that GILLIGAN on that boat Captain
Ladybugs have been relentless in Southern Illinois (Chester) along the Mississippi River. Problem is they land ALL over you and they Bite. 🤔

He is doing a fine job on the old carbon arc light
That isn’t a carbon arc, my bad

Not normally fishing time or equipment. 🤷🏼♂️
Exactly. Everyone ask me why I don't fish. Working. Don't have time.

Shove into bank.
How do they lash barges together I don't see binders or anything in your videos?
This hurricane is dropping a lot of rain, so hopefully it helps things a bit downstream.

Your Halloween dead lift did no get much for views. Man that was one ugly outfit! LOL
Ugly outfit… handsome man? Lol 😂
Mainly seeing narrower channel, I haven’t seen anything unexpected yet. No real shallow areas…. Yet.

The old captain had a good point, I like it. 😂
Capt. Harvey P Curley… and he always said the “P” stands for “prick”.
He was quite a character. I often tell his “mailman” answer.
@@marktwained Epic comment! 👍👍😎🇺🇸
No fall weather here.
Alligators come out at night?
A bit too cool up this far.
