They were all so adorable. I loved them all but my favorite was Paul. My mom's favorite was Ringo. My sister Adele's favorite was John and my sister Rosemary's favorite was George. So we all got along and didn't have to steal each other's future husbands.
George is my close second. :)

These poor boys look so bored. Reporters can be so plain with their questions, even today. They could have asked more interesting questions. No one asked Paul a single question during this, that’s why he was doodling, passing time. John looks so done with these conferences, George is playing with the microphone, Ringo is trying to look for a spot on the wall to stare into the abyss. They weren’t being rude, they just wanted something interesting to do.
They really were the best ever
To think about three years before this they had their hair greased back wearing leather jackets and jeans.

Paul is the coolest customer there ever was. No situation bothers him. Completely comfortable getting or not getting attention.
When they were asked what food they missed most and Ringo said "...it's just the way you cook it..." and George and John were like "same" but Paul, not having said much the whole interview, focused of drawing, looks up from what he was doing just to exclaim "sausages and mash! Sausages and mash!" lmao

Paul was famous for elaborating after the others handed back bland answers. I remember one time a reporter asked "What do you like best about America?" &all the others were caught flat-footed. Paul went into this long description of loving Black music and 24-radio, neither of which the UK had.
I didn't realise that being a Beatle could be boring at times
Ironically, I was interested in watching _The Beatles_ being bored.
Being a celebrity in general _can_ be boring, they don't exactly live the glamorous, glitzy lives we're lead to believe
It was a tense and grim affair though wasn't it

Anything from The Beatles makes you feel better and happy again. They made everyone in America happy after John F. Kennedy's assassination.

all four of them are so fucking brilliant. They just get it. They never get backed into a corner from these shitty reporters because they're already 2 steps ahead of them. Truly one of a kind.
The press both in England and the U.S. thought they could take them down a notch because they had long hair and were see as threatening (to the status quo) by adults. They weren't kiss ass artists like Elvis, Fabian, or Cliff Richard. But in the interviews, they exposed the press for who they were...soul-less louts. And in the end they won over almost every one of them because they were simply quicker and wittier than any middle aged man with a crew cut holding a microphone. They had no idea that this was just the start of a world wide youth revolution.
Years of experience and natural witt. Being 4 young guys from one of Britains natural home for comedians AND being together 24/ 7, sharpened their quick wittedness.
1:23 - John!! Man he was so funny, my goodness. He was an excellent comedic actor with all kinds of facial expressions and voices for us lol. He guest-starred on comedy shows around this time and was a hit with his silliness. Acting could’ve easily been his regular side hustle. I wish he kept it up. Handsome charming thing! ♥️
It's a shame he didn't enjoy acting, I would've loved to see him playing different roles. He was so gorgeous and had a wonderful screen presence. Could've been a great actor.

The concert that night at the Public Hall was total madness! Kids started to charge the stage during the third song, "All My Loving". The police got on stage and stopped the show. The Beatles were ordered off the stage. Lennon was pissed. He called the police a "bunch of amateurs!" They went back onstage after about 15-20 minutes...and finished the show!

The fact that they were clearly bored out of their minds while sitting through an eternity of vapid questions means that the press conferences should have been made much shorter, and someone should have been in charge of screening the questions to root out some good ones (if any) so that the whole thing could have been much more insightful and entertaining.

Sabrina Umstead : He is coloring because the boredom had already started to set in. These press people were the last people on Earth that The Beatles wanted to talk to or understood what their music was about. They did the interviews because it was expected of them and to satisfy the press. Probably not high on their own personal "to do" lists.

One stupid question after another. Who cares if they like pizza or not their music was good and that's what a press conference is supposed to be about.

I think that they were just about starting to grow weary with these Press conferences.Compare this one with the ones they did on their first US visit in February of 64 and you will see what I mean.It was all new and fresh then

"We only buy colored records," John swiftly interjects "Green...red..." while George then simply reels off name after name of true classic R&B greats.
I absolutely appreciate John's humor but George was so dry and sardonic...Paul and Ringo more or less answered questions specifically addressed to them but when George got a word in edgewise, it was *always* worth listening to!
