Can we get a V2 patch bank! This one was great and would like to see you do a whole new demo with this synth 👍
Thanks! I don't know if I will do a second bank for the BS II. In my perception, I have explored the possibilities extensively with the first one and a second sound pack would mostly include variations of the predecessor. I'd feel a bit uncomfortable releasing something that would be that close. But who knows, maybe one day...
The next release will be for the Circuit Mono Station, btw.
Great Job on these Patches! Reminds me why I got my BS2.
Thanks! Bass Station 2 is definitely one of the best synths that came out in the last years. And Novation’s update philosophy is just excellent
If you can't make a house track with these patches just give up
By far the best pack for BSII out there....
Got it!
Thanks for your support!
at 10:45..... I am in love
Anthony Rother would be proud!
Nice job man! Indeed, as another guy says in the comments, really good source of inspiration, but of tools too!
Thank you very much
Thanks - Whenever you publish a track featuring these patches, feel free to send it over to me, if you like. I'm always curious about how other people use these patches.
@@limbicbits Will definitely do mate! No matter how long it will take to publish something hahaha
Cya!
Excellent!
The king comes through once more! The Adamanski+Seal cameo was a heart warming moment btw I love that!
Help, i am stuck after buying this pack.
I own a current windows laptop and it diesnt have a usb 2.0 port, just 3.0.
When plugging the synth to the laptop, it goes BSOD. So i have no way of loading the files.
Is there a solution? There has to be plenty of people within the last 4 years with the same issue
Hi,
I am not a windows user so I'm afraid I really don't know how to help here.
But as far as I've observed USB 3 should be compatible with 2 and 1.
Do you use a USB data cable? A lot of them are only for charging and these can cause issues when used for data transfer.
Same happens often times with a USB Hub in between. If that's the case in your set-up, try to make a direct connection between your laptop and your bass station.
Maybe you know someone who has a different computer to give it a try?
Maybe Novation has an answer?
@limbicbits first off thank you so much for responding. I've been a windows user all my life so I haven't had access to Mac. Now when you mention connecting my laptop directly, can you elaborate please? I must be ignorant to the fact that usb cables have variations between them for data or charging since I was just using the cable put of the box or whatever all of my midi controllers use.
I've read novation has problems specifically with windows and usb 2.0-3.0 ports but haven't found much beyond it due to not as many forums currently.thats why I mentioned it. And now windows laptops only have 3.0 on them
Still lost, still looking
@@byronmarquez3398 It should also work with Windows but the USB 3.0 issue is kind of news to me.
A lot of people use a USB Hub to connect several devices to one USB port. These hubs can cause issues, especially when it comes to Sysex transfers. So by connecting it directly I mean plug the USB cable directly into the USB in on your laptop and on the USB out of your Bass Station. If you're using an adapter from USB 2.0 to USB 3 (or USB C) you might want to try a different one, too.
Also as it appears to be mainly a hardware issue, I'd recommend to get in touch directly with the Novation support --> support.novationmusic.com/hc/en-gb/requests/new
Hopefully, they've got another idea.
@limbicbits thanks, I really want to use these patches!
I've been messaging them but they aren't really identifying the issue either. I'm going to have to make a youtube video to actually post evidence of how it happens and send it to them. You are a champion, I appreciate it.
Dude just bought one waiting in the mail
cool stuff, I was looking for inspiration
You just sold me a Bass Station 2… I will contact Novation to give you some bucks. Will order your soundpack as soon as the BS arrives…
Great synth, btw.
Would you recommend this to make psytrance bass lines?
Absolutely, although for these fast and short dark psy bass lines, I've had better results with Access Virus and Waldorf Iridium. But With little post-processing, bass station 2 should deliver them equally well. Plus, it's a lot cheaper and covers a wide range of sounds.
0:13 Rother!
Fire 🔥 I've never bought any patches... that might change now.

03:45 xD
🎉
is this sounds have a compatibility with Mono Station?
Unfortunately not. You can't import CMS-patches into BS2 and neither vice versa. Their architecture is too different.
Brilliant
Silly question but if I buy these patches do I have to ovveride existing ones? Or can they just be added in to the memory
Unfortunately, bass station 2 only has memory for 128 patches so these would be overwritten. But you can backup the existing files easily beforehand
@@limbicbits what's the best way to do that?
@@syr1964 Do a SysEx-dump of your existing patch library by using the official Novation Librarian or other free sysex librarian.
Do the patches show up in the components app and can be arranged through there?
I've just tried it and yes, you can import the sysex file in components but the patches have no names. I maybe add these in a future update.
@@limbicbits that's cool ,thanks 👍
can I download your patches via Linux ?
I'm not into Linux but theoretically you'd only need a software capable of sending sysex messages. Select the MIDI port of your bass station 2 and send the patches. Make sure to upload your existing files, first, though.
@@limbicbits does it work via USB ?
@@peterfuzz3887 yes. As long as your Linux OS / Sysex Librarian / DAW recognizes the USB ports of your bass station II it should work
Como faço a instalação? É facil? quero comprar mas estou na duvida.
Sorry my Portuguese is limited to reading only. The bass station 2 is quite easy to use. On a Mac, you can use sysex librarian or c6 from Elektron to transfer the sound pack to the bass station 2. On windows the freeware MIDI OX should do the job. Connect and select your bass station2 via usb inside the software settings. Then just import the patches from the sound pack and hit “send”, “transfer” etc in the used software of your choice. Wait until the transfer has finished and that’s it
@@limbicbits Just bought this! (: Can we use the BS2 soft to upload the patchs? or just Sysex ?
Thanks! The pack only contains a sysex-file but I will add the component version once I have access again to a bass station 2. Best
Amazing !!!!
And mono station? ;)
It’s In the making. In fact it’s only some small corrections and doing the video. Should be ready in March, the latest
@@limbicbits Very cool. I bought your Elements pack for Circut! Realy love it!
@@Elkesar1 Thanks! I'm glad you like it.
@@limbicbits Hello there just little reminder about mono station pressets. (Still exploring your cicut presset such lovely and inspirational pieace! :)
Hammer. Richtig nice.
Danke dir
@@limbicbits kommt auf die must have Liste. Werde es auf jeden Fall die Tage ordern. ✌️
@@lukakentucky937 Super! Viel Spaß damit
So endlich gegönnt. Wirklich das beste Pack für die bs2. Mein Sohn spielt mega gerne mit den COmPleXen patches. 😊👍
Perfekt! So soll das sein.
Very good sounds man. Goog thin that now is duophonic
absolutely. Especially in combination with ring mod and sync it opens up a whole new sonic spectrum.
Limbic Bits I’m using right now 2 Roland Se-02 polychained and wow, what a sound.
@@fjfrancois what do you think about the SE-02? I'm still thinking about selling it again - earlier, I've purchased it mainly for basses and to create a sound pack for it. But man, these tiny, wobbly knobs drive me nuts. Also, the "free" editor from SE doesn't work on my mac
Limbic Bits thanks for asking, I know the knobs are small, but I have no problem with it. Yes it produce good bass. I understand your point, you really program and you need every tool available from the SE-02 for programming. Don’t sell keep it. I haven’t use the software, but I think this synth is a keeper. I’m planning to get another one and make a 3 voice. The pads and drones sound amazingly 😊
Dope pack dude 😎 12:46 is doin somethin for me!
Thanks!
Just purchased one and was looking for some patches that could show it off (and override the factory ones with). Just the ticket right here. Nice work.
Thanks for your comment! Hope, you'll enjoy it
