Damn just damn...the C920 is amazing...just had a few other pours and ended with the C922 and I am done for the night - happy Friday night and cheers!!!
Loved Batch 13, 14 and 15 of Stagg Jr. - got the 17 and it was just not enjoyable. Tried adding water to the 17 and putting it on ice, still just not my jam especially compared to previous batches. Great video.
I have seen ONE BOTTLE of Stagg Jr. in person, and they wanted $299 for it... so I will keep looking and maybe some day I will get one. I have had a pour of Batch 14 at a bar last year and it was amazeballs! I have a single bottle of ECBP C922 and a Private Barrel store pick--paid MSRP for both and both are fantastic. Good to know that if I never find a Stagg Jr. I'm still good with what I have and can get. FIGHT THE FOMO!
C920 was my all-time favorite batch (though I only got into them in the 19's. Good thing I have a few bottles bunkered along with several B520s. I like Stagg jr (now just Stagg), but I'll only pay up to about $100 for it. No reason to pay $200-$300+ at all. ECBP are always available in my area for $70 any day of the week.
Nice! Sadly, I never got to try any ECBP from 2020 but am a big ECBP fan overall. Love Stagg Jr batch 15 but it is (like Jason says on the Mash and Drum) like "a candy shop."
The best thing about the must-have ECBP is that since I discovered it with A121, I’ve been able to get at least one of each batch (through A123) and typically a backup (and the single barrels have been all over creation since late last summer…if way more variable)….then comes Stagg, Jr., which has only entered into my life with a single MSRP bottle of 16 and then 17 (18 could still happen). Dang it, Stagg, Jr!
@@stuffandwhiskey Oh the joys of the 50 versions of the 3 tier system. It always (well for 7 times) shows eventually up in OKC (A122 showed up about 2 weeks before B522), but when you hear about it, you’ve maybe a few days to get on it. Obviously we have our blindspots as well, but I don’t necessarily care that we are paradise for Weller SR-lovers.
Great video. I can't get any Stagg for less Than 300 bucks. Ecbp Continues to impress for the price. And you all need a channel of Erin drinking bourbon and doing Karaoke. Hit for sure
We do like C920 a fair bit more than C922, but A123 is right there with C920 for us (if not better). ECBP has been delivering some gems (with the exception of the 2021 releases and A122 for our palates-none of which were bad, but they just weren’t as great to us as ECBP usually is).
@@stuffandwhiskey Reason being, I had the B522 recently and loved it. I have a bottle of C922 and while I haven't opened it yet, I've heard it was one of the better ECBP.
@@FakingANerve both are two of our favorite batches since B520 and C920. A123 is also excellent. We particularly loved B522 ourselves, not as the prototypical ECBP, but a great balanced sweet sipper.
Batch 18? If so, it’s solid. Darker and less fruit forward than a lot of Stagg Jr batches. Has a second gear of jalapeño-like heat on the finish that’s unique and may not be for everyone, but is interesting.
C920 is my personal favorite 😍. I am lucky to have 3 of them. Never had Stagg Junior. Unable to find them, and I will not buy any whiskey over $160. Awesome review, like always. You, ADHD and Whiskey Row( or Beyond the Row), are my go to Bourbon tunes. Keep up the good work.
I just picked up the Stagg 22B for $52 and they also had Blanton's gold for $118 . This particular store has a no mark up policy. Problem is you have to get lucky and be there when they start selling them from behind the counter.
I do not always have both of your head to head bottles but I do have these. When C920 came out I liked it so much I bought quite a few. Still have two unopened. Also have several Stagg 15’s. I do think the C920 is overall better. But it’s hard not to love the Stagg. Love the video as usual. Enjoy those unfrosted cupcakes that you apparently know so well…..🤣
Lucked upon a bottle of C920 for $80, which I know is overpriced but considering its fame - happy to have it. Still waiting for a special occasion to pop it...
OK. FIrst we have the "dark and rich" line, followed by "this thing is quite large but doesn't always function as well as I would like". I think the thumbnail of this episode should have been "Stuff & Whiskey After Dark"!
I’m a big fan of ECBP, I know everyone always lauds it as the best value in whiskey, but that’s because it is! I have never owned a Stagg. It’s impossible to find in WI. I also typically gravitate towards ECBP’s flavor profile more than the sugary sweetness of BT products.
We get why the sugary sweet fruit-forward profile is a crowd pleaser, but that darker candy bar profile is just such a winner in our books. Great minds? We think so. Cheers Terrence!
C920 is my favorite ECBP but I will say A123 is awfully good. Stagg Jr batch 13 for me was amazing. That’s the only one I’ve had. It’s to hard to find. So good though.
I finally found and bought a bottle of Stagg Junior TODAY! Paid a little too much, but have never seen it in the wild, and this was the last bottle on the shelf.
@@davevogelsang6791 our bottle of 15 is gone so we used 18 for the b-roll. Same for the ECBP C920 being gone so we used a different batch for the b-roll there as well just so folks had a visual of the bottle. Note the text stating it's a different batch used in the lower left of the screen for each b-roll shot. Great eye and great callout in case others were wondering!
I never try to think about what’s in the glass and on these two all I knew was that I loved the first glass but at 6:55 I realized I loved the second glass even more because of that deep, dark richness. Big C920 fan.
It's supposed to be $60. For our batches (14, 15, 17, 18) we've paid $60, $60, $100, and $80 respectively. $100 is our hard cap on Stagg. The fact that bottles get marked up to $250-300+ is a testament to how messed up things have gotten.
"Your mom eats dry cupcakes." LOL!!! 🤣
😂😂
Blended my Stagg 22A with my ECBP C923…. Absolutely phenomenal blend of two fantastic bottles
Funnily enough we just did a similar blend on those exact two batches and it’s VERY good!

Nice job! Stagg Jr in my area is 300.00 to 500.00 and ECBP’s are usually 70.00 I found a ECBP B520 & C920 that were 90.00 each so I grabbed both!
