He had many good lines. One of the better ones is "there are 2 million handguns in los angeles alone, how soon before one of them is pointed at you" talking to Kelly at the gun range.
RIP Luke!! Loved Dylan's speech to Brandon. Brandon had two loving parents growing up. Dylan basically had himself. Brandon can't relate to what Dylan was feeling or experiencing.

Holy shit! I’ve seen this scene a hundred times in my life, and I never recognized his gun in the back of Brandon’s pants. I thought he just knew he took it. Wow 😯
I remember watching this episode with a friend who thought it was funny that I watched this show. To this day he still says the quote! It WAS a good show, period. The best is how Brandon comes back. True character!
Exactly 1year ago today, Luke died. I got the news while I was at the Apple Store. Not ashamed to say, I cried. Dylan was like a real person to me. I’m fighting some of the same demons he faced. RIP Luke Perry. You were an incredible actor. ✊🏽 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹 - Signed 03/04/2020
I bought a long-sleeve with this exact quote on it a couple of years ago. Now whenever i wear it it has even more meaning knowing that Luke passed away, one of my first childhood heroes to go, way too soon.
May the bridges I burn light the way ! What a great line did this originate on the show. God this is heartbreaking watching knowing hes gone. 90 was a iconic show but without dylan and putting dylan and brenda together no way this show would have caught fire
I was watching the episode recently! when he's in hospital?in the coma, whilst fighting his demon, the guy who gives his drugs. In here,he has to rescue his little sister. He succeeds, but unfortunately he passed away in real life. it was as if it was a message!
Ive Been in the same exact place as Dylan was. He did such a great job acting that part. The pain he looked like he was in when he lays down on the couch is perfect acting.
David Gibbons I remember that. Brandon did like Dylan’s sloppy seconds. Kelly, Valerie, he always got the girls. Your right though at least he tried to help him and came back to check on him
@@harrisonthompson8627 Yeah but that was only because of Valerie that he did because she said something about him being stoned on heroin and having a gun. Had she not said anything Brandon would have never known or likely would have never checked on him. Brandon was too self-absorbed in other things at this point in the show.
Today in Los Angeles, Luke Perry's beloved family, his closest friends, and colleagues he associated with, are going to gather together in private and say their final goodbye's to him. This moment from BEVERLY HILLS 90210 came up in my feed. The way Brandon comes back in and holds a vigil for Dylan, well, it makes me think it will be a lot like this today when all of these people Luke held close to his heart gather to remember him. Those he was loyal to are going to celebrate Luke Perry's amazing life. May his spirit that burns brightly light his way. I never met, nor did I know him, but I admired his kindness toward others. I respected his talent. And the world is going to miss his light. I hope Luke Perry's Celebration of Life today is filled with more laughter than tears.
im glad i have friends like brandon walsh in my life , prob the only reason im alive, dylan at this time in this show was what alot of us battled with and im glad to say i have moved on from that stage of my life RIP LP
That is a really good line and a really great delivery of that line. He did do a fabulous job playing Dylan. For some reason I pulled away from the show back then and missed a lot of it. I didn't realize how much Dylan and Kelly's characters went through and how they suffered so much. People didn't like the writers bringing Kelly and Dylan's character together but I can understand it. They both went through similar things that caused them pain and they used each other as a way to cope. They was used to being hurt so they past hurt on to others that they supposedly loved and cared about. Whether it was intentionally or unintentionally. That is what hurt people tend to do.
That's a cool saying if you've burned a bridge, but because it's so vague you could argue that it suggests giving light for the path back to the other side of that bridge
This was classic excellent Luke Perry right here. I am alcoholic clean 8 years now so that part he's right people don't understand unless they also are, but I was never rich and lost all my money so that part I wouldn't understand but I'd probably go off the deep end if I was rich and lost it all like he did.
I am 100% Female version of brandon😂😂that "leaving" and coming bak. Daaam ! I bet he was walking out, thinking to himself: Fine! Screw him! Then! (Agonozing feeling creeps inside him) I can't walk away. I care. His Important. He would do this for ME.❤️❤️
Except when he was totaling his car drunk driving, getting into debt with a bookie, speaking out against his own fathers business deal involving the Peach Pit, having an affair with a woman married to one of his professors, making out with Kelly while she was still with Dylan, etc.
It wasn't just about Dylan drinking he was using heroin too and Brandon knew he was doing both.. But with addicts (alcoholic, drugs or both) you aren't going to stop them from doing what they want to do no matter what you do.
His character responded this way because in his mind he was used to being abandoned, dropped (so to speak), neglected, and rejected by those who loved him. He was trying to push Brandon away and control the narrative. People that have issues like this rather push you away because they feel as though it will hurt much less. Since all people do is choose to hurt and disappoint them.
Brandon lived a normal existence. It just looked coddled from Dylan perspective since his mother bailed on him & his Dad was in the mob. All of Dylan’s demons stem from an unhealthy childhood. He lived in a freaking hotel for God’s sake & then lived in a house all alone all by the age 18!!!
The whole point of Dylan is a guy w/o a family. Every time he gains a semblance of one it crashes down. He wants it so badly, you can see him cling to it desperately.
@@bfettrulez6734 His dad was not in the mob. Lol. It was mentioned once that he had some organized crime connections with all of his shady white collar crime dealings.
IMO, during seasons 3-5 Dylan was less of a scumbag while he drank & used coke (in early season 5) than when he was clean. There he was completely broke, and then Jonesy AND Val helped him recoup $7.5 million, although jonesy received half of it. But, there was enough $$ for Dylan to get a fresh start and still become pretty wealthy again. So how tf could he give Val just $10K for her key role in that? Any decent human would give her at least $50K.
