I just found you last night when searching for summer rolls. I love how you have the layout of all the ingredients in the beginning. And congratulations on the pregnancy!!! How exciting!! I have five kids, first one at 27. Best thing that ever happened for me 💖
I feel like every season goes by quicker and quicker! I really love your no fuss, use what you have, easy approach to cooking. Plus, you always plate it so beautifully and usually a very simple "Julie" touch! I agree that Asian food is usually more cooling/refreshing/light in comparison to other cuisines. As always, I'm looking forward to the next season!
+Yeae Gi Park thanks as always for your gracious and kind words of encouragement Yeae Gi.. You always have the most thoughtful comments and I look forward to reading them. We look forward to the next season too. We appreciate you coming along with us on our journey :)
We like Asian, but even so I have never tried hoisin sauce. Your vid makes me want to try it! Thanks to you and Joe for some awesoet videos! Yesterday I used your ideas for the iron skillet pizza. I didn't want a Lot of sauce and had some nice plum tomatoes from my garden and fresh basil. I thin-sliced the tomatoes and added some fresh chopped basil also from my little garden, and fresh minced garlic, and just seared this together to reduce the juices from the tomatoes! Spread that on my pizza dough, and some fresh chopped onions and bell peppers with mozarella to top! Wow did it turn out great! It was my best home-made crust ever !! love your idea for putting the pan on the stove-top for a few minutes for a crunchy crust! Anyway this is a shout out to all your videos. Great job! Keep them coming!
+Karla B wow your pizza sounds amazing... I started drooling as I read your description. So glad the pizza crust tip worked out well for you! Appreciate your shout out to all our videos too :) Yeah, hoisin sauce is a great sauce to have on hand because it's just like another condiment like ketchup or BBQ sauce. Thanks for following our journey and watching our show.
This is our Season Finale and I wanted to end with something light, fresh, and easy to make. Hope you enjoyed Season 3. Thanks for watching. See you in Season 4!
Great season guys! Also, I JUST got those same small lettuce-heads from Costco today, so now I gotta run back to the store and grab some ground chicken asap:) Can't wait for next season!
+Urbanjuice Cook So glad you discovered our channel too. Always nice to meet another cook. Yeah the lettuce definitely helps with the refreshing crunch factor.
I just found your channel and I love it so much! Need to try so many of your recipes! Binge watching it right now haha! I love how you introduce the ingredients and the creative things you have while introducing your channel! It's really awesome and different than other youtube channels. It's the creative aspects that has drawn me into your channel too! Also, I love how you made "seasons", haven't seen that anywhere yet, like this idea a lot! Well up to the next vid!
+Chiena NG thanks so much for your thoughtful comment. I'm so glad you appreciate the little touches and extra effort we put into our show. It was hard to be "different" at first, but I think people are starting to come around to the idea now. Thanks for watching!
Omg, I was just surfing on here for healthy Asian recipe and landed on your video. This seriously look so yummy! I never had lettuce wrap before and am so trying this out. Thanks for sharing! I just subscribe btw😀
Can't wait for next season!!! :) I just bought the same kind of lettuce yesterday..for the first time! YAY, will try out this dish this weekend! Its okay to wash the leaves and pat dry them, right?
Hi +Sonali Suratkar I'm glad you had the same kind of lettuce. If I wash lettuce in advance, I do make sure they're nice and dry after washing and sometimes I keep them inside of a salad spinner inside of the fridge to keep them more crisp. Otherwise, I tend to do all my veggie washing last minute, right before eating. Did you end up trying out the recipe?
+Jazzie Red Nice... I love it too. It's a good "cheat sauce" because it already tastes good on its own. Do you like to use it a lot in your cooking too?
+O'Neil Shand You can always just omit it and use more soy sauce and sesame oil to season it if you don't want to add any sugar. It won't taste the same, but it will still be flavorful.
Hi Julie, I love this idea! On a side note, how do you block out the noise of your air conditioner? Do you ever have an issue with it? I would love to film my videos in a different room, but the spare room has a noisy portable air conditioner :-(
Hi +It's Raining Flour ... honestly, we try to turn it off when we're filming... so yeah, I'm usually melting away when it gets really hot... or we'll turn it on right up until we're filming and then turn it off... it's the only way for us too since it's loud for us as well.
I loved watching this video, and i can't wait to try this myself. Im just curious, What else can I use instead of hoisin sauce? Is there any other alternative for example teriyaki sauce or maybe plain bbq sauce?
Hoisin sauce is essentially a sweet Asian BBQ sauce so you could try using teriyaki or oyster sauce. You could also just use a mixture of soy sauce, ketchup and a little sugar!

+Jazzie Red Nice... I love it too. It's a good "cheat sauce" because it already tastes good on its own. Do you like to use it a lot in your cooking too?
This looks great! I would like to try this but is there a replacement for the hoisin sauce? I am trying to avoid added sugars.

Was the radish soaked in water or white vinegar?
Just in water to keep it crisp and make it "curl" a bit.
