WOW! Thank you for a fantastic video, truly capturing Pater Noster and the history of this isolated lighthouse island. We were thrilled to have the chance to welcome you & Christoffer to our home on the horizon. ❤
I remember my childhood seeing this, my Grandfather was the master light keeper on a Lighthouse on the east coast of Sweden (Örskär), who is a bigger island then this, so my summers up until i was 16 was spent helping my grandfather, exploring the island and just having fun with my sister and cousins.
As an American Swede, I love the translation of "jävlig god fisk" to "really good fish". The editing out of Swedish swearing makes me laugh every time.
I lived on an island in the summers in Lake Superior with no internet, running water or electricity. There is a working lighthouse on the island. It was the highlight of my life - so relaxing and stress free!
"Grim would love this place." Me, imagining Grim bouncing around the rib boat, tongue flapping in the wind, drool flying everywhere: Yeah, that sounds about right
When you first mentioned about the three families living on the island I thought they all better get along since you can’t really get away from each other. And then later when you said the teacher sometimes left the island pregnant I thought well SOMEBODY is getting along. Yikes. But, still, how amazing that these kinds of places existed.
Cecilia, I don’t often comment, but I just want to say that you are such a gifted storyteller - par excellence! Every single video is a gem. Like all of your subscribers, I find myself totally immersed in what you present and, thoroughly enjoy your adventures with you. I thank you for that. Your film-making is magical, because you can achieve that level of sincere interest from, I am sure, all of us. Actually, and I’m not exaggerating, one of four movies that remain in my mind for superb cinematography, which could draw me into the mood and atmosphere of the surrounding scenery, was David Watkin’s spectacular, Oscar-winning cinematography for Out of Africa. He drew us in and gave audiences a real feel of that amazing country and landscape. You manage to do the same with your, Cristoffer’s and Grim’s lives and travels, in such a basically untouched area of our beautiful planet. You are able to capture the mood and “atmosphere” of your surroundings. So, I believe you’re in good company! Thank you for sharing your marvelous talents with us. It is always truly appreciated. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 🎉 💕 ------------- Ps. Just for trivia’s sake, the other 3 movies that remain in my mind for spectacular cinematography are: 1) Freddie Young’s amazing work in Lawrence of Arabia, capturing spectacular desert scenes and up-close depictions of the characters and situations 2) Freddie Young again for Ryan’s Daughter, another David Lean film, capturing rural, coastal Ireland. (I guess you can throw in Freddie Young again for a third David Lean film Dr. Zhivago) 3) John Seele for his work in Witness, perfectly capturing Amish country and Amish life in Pennsylvania. Make a movie one day, Cecilia. Or a full-length documentary. It would win awards! ❤
Wow, what a treat! This was incredible. Thanks for this magnificent video, Cecilia & Christopher. The history you told us of this lil’ Lighthouse island is incredible. Looking forward to your future videos. So ready for your book! Blessings. ❤️👍🇺🇸
Thank you Cecilia for being your true self, just being natural and lovely without stupid filters or fake facade, you are so important for this world please never change yourself, you are so beautiful and have the purest heart and truly an amazing role model ❤
What a truly WONDERFUL vlog today. I absolutely love your vlogs Cecilia and Christoffer, you are always so informative. What a beautiful location, and warmer weather than you are both used to. Just love the photography and the history you gave us. Well done to you both. Plus the food looks AMAZING for such a remote place. Thank you.
Cecilia and Christoffer, thank you so much for sharing this adventure with us! The video is absolutely amazing! I love the beauty, history and remoteness of the island. Every meal looked so delicious and the inn looked so cozy! This is now one of my dream destinations ❤❤❤❤
I just love you guys! Such a great vibe, and I enjoy seeing Christoffer smile so much. You looked lovely all dressed up in your sparkly skirt for the wine tasting, Cecilia! And thanks for the tip on Mattias Tell. His acoustic music is haunting. He has a new YT subscriber thanks to you!
Hi Cecilia , I’m from Brazil and just found out about your channel. Let me tell you - I’m obsessed with it ! I’ve been marathoning all your content and I love it ! I’ve already lived in Sweden because of my work and I love it. Your island is beautiful ! Again, I loved your chanel. I wish you guys the best .
It's sad the lighthouse isn't used like it once was. Here in Michigan we have 150 lighthouses. They're hauntingly beautiful reminders of our history. We just got back from a vacation on the coast of Lake Michigan where there is a lighthouse right outside our Condo. It's so beautiful
I must say this was a treat! All so unique. I think the pricing was just fine for what you two received. Love hearing the seagulls. Beautiful drone shots. Thank you
Thank you so much for taking us with you on this breathtaking excursion. How lovely to be on that tiny island with each other and treated to such hospitality. I’ve loved every minute of the years I’ve spent watching your life on Svalbard. Hugs to you, Cristofer, and sweet Grim🧡🧡🧡🐾. Have a wonderful week✨
I absolutely loved this!! Thank you so much for taking us along. I know it added work to your fun, but it was so lovely! I will probably never get to go there, so to experience it through your eyes was awesome. Again... thank you!! P.S. Christopher's vibe at 14:35 was so great! And your fits throughout were spot on! Loved your nails!
Absolutely Breathtaking. I love lighthouses and the mysteries surrounding them. Thankyou for taking us along on your adventure. This was truly a spectacular vlog. ❤
That lighthouse island is a perfect getaway. There’s nature, history, comfortable cottages and delicious food, plus an opportunity to be waited upon. What an adventure! Thanks for bringing us with you. 💐
Such a heartwarming experience. Thank you for spreading information on obscure places that have such history. I would never have known about this beautiful goldmine, located on our amazing earth, if it wasn’t for you both taking us along. Thank you for enriching my life, I so much appreciate it. ❤
Swedish people have such class like in other countries you would probably be able to visit and maybe buy a bag of chips and a coke on an island but no in Sweden you can dress up an have a nice dinner that is probably still affordable :) looked like such a good experience
With all the troubles in the world, It's great to switch on to a video that's so cheerful and positive. I love islands and lighthouses, and riding in a fast moving boat ! Your video has all three. Your telling of the history of the islands buildings shows you'd make a very good tour guide. I found it very enlightening. Imagine so many shipwrecks in times past ! I loved the buildings on the island... simple and wooden, but very pretty. Homely too, I'd say.
So enjoy when you take us viewers on your Norway, Sweden, Svardbard locations, they are all so interesting and beautiful. You are the cutest couple, so down to earth and kind. I live vicariously through your adventures. Thank you so very much!
This is so fascinating. I love hearing history and considering and hadn’t even heard of Svalbard before, finding your videos shows that you have taught me so much. (And I’m 64!😮) And your voice is so good, I could see you do audio books. The editing in this video is outstanding (like always) ❤
That is soooo interesting! Thank you for showing us the island. I know you've mentioned it was an honour to be there appointed from the king, but wow... I can't imagine how life must have felt like there back then. I cherish my daily walks, running outside, being in nature.. this seems so claustrophobic to me
What a cool experience! Beautiful island. I was at the nearby island Marstrand a few years ago. It's also an absolutely stunning island with a proper village that has many typical Swedish houses in all colors.
Loved this video!! For the first time since being a child and visiting Lithuania, I recently had a holiday where it felt like time stood still and didn’t just fly by and I got to enjoy every little moment and this week’s episode seemed to encapsulate that same vibe. I discovered you about 18 months ago and just genuinely look forward to Sunday nights to see what your next adventure was! Also, the clip of you in the robe saying “well, this is a look” and then walking away leaving Christoffer on the step in his robe was hilarious. You had this “we look ridiculous” tone in your voice and Christoffer had this “we look AMAZING” vibe about him. Fabulous. 😂❤
Absolutely stunning video! Your cinematography is fantastic, your attention to historical details so interesting, and sharing your experiences with us definitely a 10 out of 10. Thank you so much for the adventure. Outstanding. ❤
Christopher seemed to be in his element on that island. He smiled more than I think I've ever seen him smile in your vids. He even laughed! Normally he's very stoic. I look forward to you finding your very own Swedish island. For Christopher. 😆😆😆
This was a beautiful video. Thank you for sharing your adventures with those of us who live vicariously through you, Christoffer and grim. Missed your fur baby this week. ❤

This is a movie! The drone shot of the sunset illuminating the lighthouse was breathtaking. Thank you for taking us along on an adventure today!

Agreed the footage and editing is better than tv. How you don’t have your own Netflix series yet is wild lol😅
Yes. The footage was breathtaking.
