Hi just found your channel and subscribed, It’s really nice to come across someone who is genuine and a bit nuts, Will be catching up on your older vids Safe travels ☯️🤘
Just love your videos you brighten my day with your antics ( them chillies 🌶️ ) I believe I’m seeing true van life Glad you got your eyes sorted I’ve had the same problem as you say for about a month ❤❤
Well that's something positive to bring into someone's day! I aim to portray van life as it is, not just the pretty parts. Besides, it's more fun to watch I think 😀
Hi Si, pleased to see an update from you! I bet choking on the chilli pickle wasn't the start to the video you were hoping for 😅 I bet that killed! Sorry to see things have been a struggle, why do all these things come at once!? Hope things start getting easier for you soon! Take care.
3 boiled eggs 🥚 is living the breakfast dream! :) yeah things have been a test recently but we're all good thank you :) I'm over the hump I think... don't want to say that too loud :) as there's always the next gremlin to pop up :)
Dust allergy is a bummer. Try stick to cotton clothing, bedding and soft furnishings if possible, preferably items with a high thread count (250 + per square inch). Dust mites (Dermatophagoides pteronissinus) can't penetrate tight weave fabrics. Try storing your clothing, towels and spare bedding in vacuum bags, airtight plastic containers or waterproof stuff sacks available from most camping shops. Try get some total covering mattress and pillow protectors. Boil wash everything as regularly as possible, once a week at a minimum for bedding and mattress/pillow protectors . Dare I say it but perhaps think about loosing as much of the 4 way stretch carpeting as possible, that stuff is five star luxury accommodation for dust and mites especially because of it's static properties. Best of luck buddy and keep up the great videos as its refreshing to see real vanlifers on youtube, especially very entertaining ones such as yourself.
Ah Dave, I very much appreciate all the info. This allergy is a daily battle. It's getting better, especially with the air purifier and turning on the extractor fan on first thing when I get up to help with it. It could easily end the van life experience if left unchecked. I aim to make some improvements in all departments of the van over the coming months. Thanks so much for your support. There's loafs more vids coming ( I'm overdue atm cus I got slightly inebriated with friends!) Peace! SI 😀
Feel your pain. Dust allergys a nitemare. Glad your gettin it sorted. Luvv your channel your so funny n down to earth. Im about to start my van conversion. Ill put air purifier on the list.... 😂
Thanks Paula, I appreciate that :) and the purifier definitely helps. I've got to make a few adjustments for next winter, definitely got a few areas that need improving. Also, all the best with your van conversion. I'm sure you're gonna love it when you move into it :)
Thanks Jules, yeah I've got it under control now. Had to attack it on several fronts :) it's been a bit miserable in the van recently; weather, work, condensation, low batteries, allergy, blocked ear still smiling though :)
@@julesstone7990 I hear you, I however have zero temptation to do much DIY atm :) Got too much do as is :) Maybe I'll do something like that in another, longer van? Who knows what will happen? :)
Where are you? I'm a van dweller full-time 12 years and I can totally relate to your frustrations I'm currently in a Dusty desert in California and I'm constantly cleaning trying to keep it out😂 and to top it off, I am so seriously allergic to nonsense and I'm thinking you can relate to that also thanks for sharing from wherever you're at?
Hi there, I'm in whitby on the east coast of the UK. This is my second winter in the van full time. You might want to try an air purifier. It has definitely helped me :)
Good to see you back mate from Gary from the sunny iow your ear is blocked due to all the heavy metal you listen to only joking hope you get sorted all the best and take care
Otex express combi pack £8.50 Wax drops plus the ball syringe to blast the ear. I very nearly went and paid for syringing but I managed it myself over the sink, first attempts in morning nothing but by the evening around 8th time blasting Luke warm water into ear canal I managed to dislodge what I called the great bolder, job done and end of story. Not nice have ear issues so I hope you sort it soon. 👍
Jeeeze dude you sound just like me sneezing my head off . It doesn't actually dominant where you live.. its just environment so you will always get that 😮
I had my ears syringed many years ago, wasn't too bad an experience. Basically, they pump water into your ears and that causes the wax to float out. Not sure if the process you had done was the same, but it wasn't too bad in my opinion. I've had problems with my left ear since someone blew a toy instrument into it when I was younger. No idea why they did that, we were all kids back then and the other kid just thought it would be a clever idea to get a lung full of air and then blow that down my ear with a toy musical instrument. To this day, my hearing hasn't fully recovered, but I can still hear alright, it's just not as good as it should be. Hope you're feeling better now you got your ear sorted.
Yes kids do stupid stuff ay. 🙄 my ear is all good now, thank you. It was fully clogged. Didn't take long to do either. I had it recurring every year so I'm hoping now it's gone for good :) all the best for the new year :)
Love the videos, Simon 🙌 I was wondering if you'd want some help with the editing? It's still something new i do so I wouldn't want anything for it. Would just be good to help out! I also have a dustmite allergy so I completely feel the pain
