That lock put up a fight. It's a pity ABUS were obsessed with their Titalium material when they made this. It would have been nice to have it in Stainless Steel instead.
Wow. I can't belive you achieved that. Your officially in the upper echelon of the elite class imo.. lpl is going to loose his crown if you keep making such amazing content. Lol.. (jokes). But if there was an international trophy you just earned the lifetime achievement category i reckon.. respect mate. All the way from Far North Queensland Australia. Legendary stuff.
Well picked 👏👏👏 Very solid lock joined by a very secure core 👍 This is what I like to see 🤗 You got a very nice tensioner there 👌👌 I never get a good feeling with the curved flags and try to avoid them if possible. In these keyways I prefer to use the short flag somewhat like a "normal" pick and lift it a bit instead of just rotating. Often does the trick, but depends on the bitting. Cheers 🍻
I can zip and rake a few locks and during the master mayhem show I single pin picked a lock for the first time, it was a Master No 3. I was pumped. Tension is something I struggle with. It doesn't work if you put your tool in the wrong way. That's what she said.
You can never have too many tension tools. Getting the right tension tool in the right place with the right amount of tension gets you much further to success than thinking you have the wrong size or type of pick. Personally (what I do) is file a slight flat and then a tiny dint on the tips of my picks. It helps me feel what the pin is doing without the pick slipping off the tip of the pin.
The main problem with those is that it is bypassable. You have one made before 2017 (two letters) so i dont know about them but newer ones(three letters and number) are bypassable like an old 85 Abus brass shutterlock .Locking pawl is exactly the same like on 64 Titalium. If you re interested on dates (two letters)i decoded them and someone asked me to post it on REEDIT so try to find it.Just when it was posted on Reedit in 2016-17.they changed coding system so i had no luck decoding new system .
Same core as the 75IB/50 and the 75/60? Yeah I found that spools plus tensioning in the same direction as the pick rotation means positive tension control is needed to manually ease up rather than letting the spools counterrotate, especially with the IB series which lacks a sprung core. Even with that, washing out the cores with lube resulted in lots of glitter from where the pins and core were gnashing. I used the MP#5 flat flag (and MP#10 on the smaller 75IB/40), never needed the curved boy.
Have one of these, I can't pick it yet because I need a deep flag to get that last spool. But you don't need to pick it LockNoob. It can be bypassed. I did a video on the bypass
Why is it that all You Tubers picking locks, choose to do so on a bench & in a vice in brilliant lighting. Serbian Sam started and everyone since has followed. Just a thought, to make things more realistic and interesting, why not have locks where you don’t know the key code that are attached to hasp and staples or secured to chains around a post. Much more real world. And a proper challenge. Maybe even go outside in the cold, rain or dark. Could get you more subscribers and set you apart from others.
I do it to annoy you specifically. Or because it’s fun and I’m not trying to do anything particularly realistic. Definitely one of those for sure. Have a great weekend, Martin and thanks for watching.
@@LockNoob Mate, your failing as it does not annoy me in the least. My comment has genuine sentiment, challenge yourself MORE. What you are doing has a shelf life, it cannot carry on with out your audience going, you know what, this is the same/similar to the last video. My guess is that you will peak and fall away unless you bring another dimension. Knowing the code, in a vice in good light, has its place but it is now saturated on the net & probably has had its day. You have an opportunity to take it to another level. If you like I will send you a doable challenge, for your part you have to unbox it and open it on camera as is, no vice. Let me know.
The Extra Class core is not an easy pick at the best of times, but only being able to turn it one way really adds the pain!
Great picking 👍🏼
Is this the one that can be bypassed?
I couldn’t imagine that there are criminal seminars in UA-cam! Congratulations

I agree. I don’t like Aluminium locks really

Wonderful lock! Great picking and navigating the tricky key way!!
🐈⬛🐾🐈🐾🇬🇧🍻👍👍👍
Thanks 😊
That's very well-done Ash, one hell of a lock there no doubt,
Have a great one my friend.
You too!
Completely agree with the difficulty of these, I have one of these in my naughty bucket 😮
It’s a very naughty lock!
That looked immensely hard.
Very awkward cores to pick even when you can tension the other way.
😉👍🏻 Great open!
Thanks, Roy
Very nice abus Ash mate well done👍👊😊🇬🇧😎
Thanks Leon!

It is bad too use a aluminium body because gallium destroy it in one minute .bye bye safety.ua-cam.com/users/shortslpPbuPWVmWs?feature=share
Wow , that's hard,mate !! I'd have no chance at opening that
Yeah you would! Just takes some practice
@Lock Noob yeah, if you were stood over me telling me what to do, I might just have a chance lol 😆

Gerda EVO has the same keyway - its not easy to set deep pins.
Good picking:)
I’ll look about for one!
Well done!

Interesting. I’ll try the bypass
Man i still need to get one of these to pick. Seemed fun :)
They sort of are!

I like using the deep curve still though

I didn’t know! Thanks will check it out!
Amazing video! I would hate/love a peak at your naughty bucket!
I have so many naughty locks, I just keep a ‘nice’ bucket 😅
@@LockNoob 😂. It would be an awesome video!
How can I get a tapered Christina Palmer turning tool? They stopped selling them individually!
Have they? I didn’t realise
NICE!
Thanks!

@@martinnewton6891 we all peak and fall away, my friend, it’s whether we have fun on the way that matters
