Laurie and Ross take a trip to Ardbeg distillery on Islay to revisit a big, bold brute. No no, not distillery manager Colin Gordon... but the fabulous Uigeadail! This expression has won legions of fans for ticking the boxes of big strength, big sherry and big peat. But why is it often forgotten about?

Ardbeg Uigeadail is one of my favorite Ardbegs. Great whisky for a great price. 👍

For me Uigeadail is a non negotiable. A bottle has to be open and on the shelf. I have refrained from the Committee releases for quite a while as I've felt the quality to price relationship has gone in different directions. As for the NFT bottling, less said the better. I do not want to be overly critical but I feel a disconnect with Ardbeg beyond Uigeadail. Let's see where things go, until then there are plenty of alternatives. Slainte Mhath 🥃
