I've just bought a brand new 2022 model but cannot find those case protectors for it on the ktm website, have they been discontinued and is there an alternative out there. Tia
Noticed it looks like you have the old small decat back on? I thought you put the modified old cat back in? Anywho looks great! Still gonna run my cage for a bit more protection.
Ah! Thanks! You mean what I am running today? Yeah, currently running the Arrow cat only delete pipe because I like the look. For me it will be cage most of the time.
@@callumboothroyd3766 Good guess, but no! I even had the modified baffle in my Akra for the MOT last week so it wasn't exactly quiet. Still not as loud as my Dragstar which I did the MOT on a couple of weeks before
@@callumboothroyd3766 Under current MOT rules bikes are not required to have a cat, nor are they tested for noise levels - though some testers will make a note about a loud exhaust
Hi there…big fan of your videos and plan on subscribing. Bought myself a new 2021 390 and installed these yesterday. Is your left side ignition cover protector a good bit farther away than how the right side clutch cover protector fits? I assume that’s where the pad comes into play, but it seems odd. The right seems to fit very close with little gap. Thanks, Nick
@@MotoMirius thanks for reply Just bit nervous removing the small cover. It has 2:small bolts. Then you could fit protector then put it back. Bottled out at moment!
Even amongst the same generation, sometimes things are changed, so the simple answer is no. From 2017 the frame has some modification which means all fittings for the tail and seat are different. For the engine it will be mostly the same, but there will be changes to brackets etc because of the different tank and because there is some modifications of parts which will fit differently. Can you make it fit? Yes, I would think so, but it will require some modifications and work arounds, so you would need the skills to do that.
@@bideybikrammalla5057 In theory swinging arm should be much the same and engine should bolt in. But in practice there will be differences especially with a 2014. The factory will make small changes to fit different parts or where they find things are breaking, but will not make this public.
@@MotoMirius if swing arm and engine fits properly.for others i will cut and weld.i am thinking to this project soon.If its done will send you pictures and videos. Thank you for your help and suggestions
@@bideybikrammalla5057 Good luck with the swap. I suspect swinging arm might fit - they did change this but I would not be surprised if it still fits, but also would not be surprised if they changed bearings etc.
Hi moto Mirius i am one of your subscriber i wach all your videos i am from 🇮🇳 India ❣️
Hi capricorn, thanks for subscribing and great to have you on board!
Tidy and functional 👍🏻
Peace and love brother 👍🏻☮♥️
Cheers Springy. I hope you are yours the best over the Seasons holidays!
Well worth it I’d say 👍🏻
Thanks. I do like the look for a road bike
Question what oil brand are you using ? Thanks
I normally use Rock Oil, which is a UK brand.
Good Evening. Im looking into buying a ktm as a beginner bike. Any tips, any advice on crash protection? Thanks 👍🏼
Hi, I cover all the basics you need to know in this video ua-cam.com/video/KE5gPkMhCqY/v-deo.html

That is strange - engine has not changed, these should fit at least 2017 - 2023. Bagoros Performance sells something very similar.
Sir it is also applicable to duke 200 version 2??
Yes, it should be, but it may depend on the year as I've not seen it on the new models - and make sure you buy one that fits the 200

@@MotoMirius yeah I agree, I'm guessing you put the original modified one back on for MOT?

Hi and thank. Yes that is the function of the pad. I'm not entirely clear why KTM made them so different.
My 2021 has a small plastic cover on the right side which gets in the way. Any ideas ? I think it's the quick shifter.
@@MrHoppy40 Could be, can't comment as I haven't seen one.

@@MrHoppy40 It sounds OK, if you had a picture that would help
I know its probably kinda doubling up but could you fit both kinds of protectors
You could try, but they don't fit unless you cut and reweld the crash cage to make clearance.
How to order ?
Talk to your KTM dealer
Whats the torque spec on those bolts
12 Nm

Where do you buy these
It’s a KTM part so it’s sold by KTM dealers
Why’d you switch out the cage protection for the engine sliders? Just curious
The next video will answer that question for you!
