Hey if I could get some help that would be great. Was a bone stock b8.5 a4, and now it has a spacer but it just sounds like a bov, here is the flutter hiding? It doesn’t have any
Hi, always willing to help :) i am not sure which spacer you have and the specs of your car... But if you only have a BOV/spacer on it, it is very muted... To enhance the sound you need to install an induction kit or known as a cone filter. This will bring the turbo sounds out drastically :)
No way... That is so weird because if it doesn't make that sound it is probably because if a boost leak... Which BOV did you buy? Is your diverter valve cable still plugged in? Didn't it maybe fell out?

The stock air intake box muffles the sound, do a test or check out an older video where i just installed the cone filter and not the BOV, then you will hear it flutters by just removing the air intake box, so it means that from factory it flutters but you can't hear it
If you have the B8 then yes, it will flutter :) just note with the stock air intake it is super soft! Like you can barely hear it... You will need to install a air intake in the future :)
@@megalodononwheels so it’s an Audi a4 with the integrated tuning intake and when I’m moderately speeding up it makes a inconsistent whistle with the intake woshing sound idk it just sounds a bit weird sometimes. Other than that is sounds good for the most part
The intake is supposed to make a suction noise. But I get you... Sometimes it might sound a bit weird. It could be turbo core vibration. In my case I had it and in one of my videos I posted a video I took from a Go pro that was outside the car where one could hear it as clear as day time. I cant remember where and when it was but was just before I removed my turbo video (the first time) hopefully that could give you an idea of how it should not sound like lol

Yea that could be turbo vibration... Mine sounded like that... It is hard to describe how it sounds like 🤦♂️ but the way you mention it is how I also noticed it...
I don't think the exact BOV will work to be honnest. If i am not mistaken your turbo is the "IS**" where mine is the K03. So I would just suggest you might need to do sone reaserch o.a BOV for your exact turbo :)
Thanks man 😎🙌 wish I could get more to uploading, but will soon 🥳🙏 already bought some crazy stuff for the car, just need to do the videos 🤣🙌... The B8 1.8T/2.0T is know for the piston rings that fails 🤦 you need a complete new aftermarket piston set to stop having that problem 👎 there is actually a overall kit on eBay thats works like a BOM that is extremely cheap. Comes with gaskets and etc 👌 my opinion, just get aftermarket rods and pistons like IE, Wosnner, PEC and a couple more... Because the Rods are the weakest part of the engine, they fail just over 300KW or 450HP Also if you haven't done a Stage 1 tune yet... Still using it even till today 🥳 only difference is now I have The BOV on its closed adjustment as I logged the car and the car has more boost on shifts (when the BOV is closed) . I think if the BOV is fully open it blows to much boost out into the atmosphere and then the turbo needs to build up more boost when the gear was shifted up 👌 And to awnser your question. Yes you can still hear it when it is closed... Its not as loud as open but it is still loud enough to turn people's heads 👌
Sorry for the Delayed response... Only got word back from about 3 guys just now... Unfortunately the B7 Can't accommodate a BOV... apparently it is because of the Turbo design... They did mention that if you install a induction kit such as a Cone filter your turbo Blow off sounds will be louder... So that will be like a mini BOV... The other route to go is to install a Dump valve your boost system, but that means you will need a titanium or aluminium pipe to be designed for your car where the Dump Valve could sit on and then re-routing of some vacuum pipes... So my advice is go for the full induction kit like my car, if your not happy then you can look at installing the Dump Valve :)
No, it can work on all cars :) the car i installed it on is a 7 Speed DSG DL501 automatic gearbox... With a manual car it is easier to dump because you have the clutch to give some drivetrain slippages while you build up boost to dump... Where as with the Automatic you need to accelerate and let go of the throttle just before the car shifts or let go of the throttle when the boost is kicking in... :)
Unfortunately i do not know... You will need to contact the company where your cars warranty is being covered at... But my personal opinion... Yes it will affect your warranty
I ordered a BOV but after watching a couple videos, im just going to return it. I do not like the sound 😕. the sound it gets from the my cold intake alone sounds much better, it gives it a woosh sound. the stututu sounds like something is wrong with the vehicle lol just sounds annoying and I don't ever hear any other performance car with the same sound from a BOV.
Which car do you have...??? Each car does sound a bit different... The StuStu is actually very big in the racing industry... I like it for the change of sound but everyone has their own preference :) if you bought the adjustable BOV like me, you can just close the atmosphere ventilation holes and it will mske wooosh... And if you open it, it will do it's StuStu... So you can always change it as you want :) you can even do it half half where it blows into the atmosphere and recirculate... :)
@@megalodononwheels ah ok I didn't know that! I will try that out. i have a 2014 a4 s-line quattro. so far stage 1 😎 next are the downpipes to go stage 2.
That is awesome! I Also did a downpipe on my car, I don't really hear additional sound to the exhaust... Only the DSG Farts and cold start :) still worth it! 🤣👌 If your car has a oil consumption problem, rather Dont do downpipe, delete the middle resonater :)
Which direction the holes shows does not really matter, I was nore concerned about the direction the lever is to adjust it. So my lever is facing down :)
I have never been under a Tiguan so i am not sure sorry :( but you can have a look and maybe if your lucky you can get a BOV... Otherwise you will need to get a Dump Valve
That Question... Is a very big Question 🤣 Ok here we go... This is all my opinion and i stand to be corrected... I had the same setup on my 1.8T B8, i had the car for nearly 4 years if not almost 5 and did over 60 000km on it, so here is my thoughts around this entire subject. I believe it is not harmful... Why? Because without the BOV and with just a induction (cone filter) the car Flutters anyway, eventhough it is very soft. So if the car flutters without any enhancements just better air flow then it means that the turbo's normal conditions is to flutter. The BOV is a bolt on and still uses all the same sensors and ect as in normal conditions. As an example to this, there is ways to make turbo's flutter by blocking pipes and i would understand why something like that would damage a turbo. With a bov it flutters louder because it dumps the air in the atmosphere. I believe dumping the air in the atmosphere is better than to recirculate the air, as far as my understanding goes, when the turbo is still turning at higher speeds (recirculating) and you step fully on the gas again, the intake air will actually slow down the blade before speeding it up again, so by blowing the air into the atmosphere will slow the blades down in such a way that if the full throttle has to happen again the blade can speed up instead of slowing down and then speeding up again. (I read this in a forum, if anyone has more info please share) I also did a test, a few pulls on the road with the BOV closed and a few pulls with the BOV open. Honnest opinion, the car feels much more responsive with the BOV open. You will realise it immediately as your doing your first pull! I also never had a problem where my turbo started to boost less than the set point, it was always within good parameters. So next to turning heads there is one problem i have noticed... When i did a dyno pull the BOV actually opened as soon as the boost hit's it's maxed! But when i am on the road the BOV stays closed and you can see that with one of my latest Data logging videos where i did a boost test. Why it opened, i have absolutely no idea 🤷
Doesn't that sound mean that your having a boost surge? I mean. I drive a Mazdaspeed 3 a bit modified and i just block the piston of my BOV and... it started making this stututu sound. (Btw your car looks freaking good)
In short words... Yes 🤣 I would only start to argue when people say the BOV is causing the surge 🤐 because out of my experience and knowledge our car (the A4) already surges from stock, you just can't hear it because everything supresses the noise. The BOV and the Cone filter just increases the noise that is already there... Stand for correction But thanks for the compliment... I wish I have done more to it by now but we bought a house not to long ago and it was left to us in such a bad state 🤕 so finances have been low 🤣... Also what have you done to your Car? I raced my friends MPS and he has stage 1 COBB, downpipe and intake I think... And the car put up a good race... My pull away was just a bit to much for him but his car was doing a great job 💪
ok but like audis run MAF's and pressurized turbos guys blowing air into the atmosphere will literally fuck your audi up. Ask about how his car runs in about 2 months
I had the same BOV in my 1.8T B8 for 3 years... Never had a mechanical problem :) The only problem i did have was when i went on a Dyno, the valve will open when it hits maximum boost... But if i close the BOV then it is like the BOV was never installed
Quality or not quality this is not quality sometimes you pay for what you pay for it sometimes paying something cheap ends up being some thing really expensive because the end of the day you’re going to pay for paying for something cheap other stuff might mess up sometimes you just Gotta bite your tongue and just buy something good knowing that it’s going to last you other than that it’s a good tutorial how to install it but not that part I would totally not recommend it get a CTS brand spend the extra hundred dollars even 200
Hey man! Thanks for your opinion and you are right in some sense, even growing up my mother used to say buying cheap is buying expensive, meaning that something cheap will brake and you need to buy the cheap one again or buy the expensive one then but then you have already wasted the money, ooooor it will break something and will cost more to fix it... 👌 True. But I must say, my Previous Audi A4 B8 1.8T had the BOV in for 4 years and this 2.0T of mine has it in for maybe 2 years now. So far bo problems :) by all means if you do have the money thrn get the proper one 🥳 but this is just a chunk of metal, unlike the Diverter valve or sensors and etc that I would rather recommend to buy more epensive in that case 🙌
Hey, i spoke to a person regarding a BOV for his B7 2.0TDI... he asked me the same question and unfortunately after some Reaserch and asking other TDI owners... It seems like the Turbo's of TDI's cant house the BOV... So your only option will be is to install a Induction kit like my Audi has... This will make the turbo Blow off louder... And then you can also install a Dump valve on the boost piping system to make the Blow off even louder... Hope this helps :)
I have never tried it on a B7 but if it has a diverter valve like the B8 does and then you might just be able to 👌 note it probably won't sound like mine... It might only be a woooosh or it can flutter aswell... Only one way to find out 👌

So i think the catalyst did an extremely great work to hide it 👌 i would recommend to fix the oil problem first and then do a downpipe because it is hella imbarrising 👎🤦
@@megalodononwheels are you leaking oil?
Sorry for missing your comment, UA-cam never showed it to me :(. No I am not leaking oil at all, i am burning oil inside the engine.
Can you tell me the exact name of the valve with that sound? I want to buy it
Hi, the Link is in the Description to one :)
It doesn't really have a name to be honnest, it is just an aftermarket Chinese brand
Is this the same as ecs diverter valve spacer sound?
I am unsure if they will sound the same but mine is just a cheap one off the internet
Audi s3 8v 2015 will fit?
I am unsure as I haven't worked on the car yet, tell me is it the IS20 turbo or the K04?
Can uou install a blow off valve on automatic audi a4 tdi ??
Apparently you can't 😭 but never looked myself... You will need to look if it has a diverter valve
I put the diverter valve two days ago sounded great w my cold air intake.. but today I doesn’t make noise at all. What do I do? Audi A3 2015
Is your car still pulling when you floor it? Or is there a massive drop i performance?
@@megalodononwheels no drop in performance as far as I can tell.. it’s just not making the TSU-Tsu-Stu sound anymore.. which is why I bought it lol
No way... That is so weird because if it doesn't make that sound it is probably because if a boost leak... Which BOV did you buy? Is your diverter valve cable still plugged in? Didn't it maybe fell out?
@@megalodononwheels my car already had a BOV. I’ll check it tmw but worst case scenario I already have a new diverter on the way. I bought a more expensive one. ( do all diverter V make that sound?). Thank you for the responses man!!
@@megalodononwheels that’s what I thought happened.. I honestly look in to the motor and lifted the car but I can’t seem to find it. I didn’t install it myself
sounds nice n kills turbo same
I won't say it kills the turbo, because all i did was enhanced the sound that was already there... But just muffled, i didn't close any pipes or unplug any sensors or what do ever... But i do know where you are coming from, Turbo Surge
@@megalodononwheels muffled? or directed back to engine?
The stock air intake box muffles the sound, do a test or check out an older video where i just installed the cone filter and not the BOV, then you will hear it flutters by just removing the air intake box, so it means that from factory it flutters but you can't hear it
Could you get one for a 09 audi a4 b8 2.0 tdi 170bhp
Unfortunately I don't think they will work with the TDI 😭
Can you send me the link to buy the bov please? Sounds cool 🙌💯
I am Glad to see someone also likes it 🥳 the link is in the description :)
Does the bov sound the same as urz with stock intake an 1.8 turbo audi? Will the bov flutter like urz or??
If you have the B8 then yes, it will flutter :) just note with the stock air intake it is super soft! Like you can barely hear it... You will need to install a air intake in the future :)
It says that blow off valve is $11?? Whaaaa
@@megalodononwheels hey so i jus pulled my diverter valve off my audi an the holes in the bov that i jus got sent are off by like 2mm with the holes?
What if you do one of these valves with the turbo muffler delete is that better or one or the other … and I have a question abt my intake 😊
I believe with a turbo muffler it will be much louder 😎💪 and yea you can go with the intake question?
@@megalodononwheels what did the turbo vibration sound like idk like my case I’ll have a constant amount on the throttle and the whistle will like cut out randomly then come back sounding a bit different and the air sounds like it’s not flowing constantly like it’s getting chopped up other than that it’s fine
Yea that could be turbo vibration... Mine sounded like that... It is hard to describe how it sounds like 🤦♂️ but the way you mention it is how I also noticed it...
Do these work with a 2017 Audi a3 2.0T TFSI fwd
I don't think the exact BOV will work to be honnest. If i am not mistaken your turbo is the "IS**" where mine is the K03. So I would just suggest you might need to do sone reaserch o.a BOV for your exact turbo :)
I actually got it figured out all I did was unplug the diverter valve sensor haha 😂 I now have Stu Stu Stu stu
Also love the channel man keep up the good work
Thanks man 😎🙌 wish I could get more to uploading, but will soon 🥳🙏 already bought some crazy stuff for the car, just need to do the videos 🤣🙌... Also yea unplugging the Diverter valve works lol, just note it might cause some boost drop between gear shifts but atleast next to that you must enjoy it 😜... The BOV will also make it louder and with a cone filter even louder!
Would it work with a golf mk6 1.6tdi?
I doubt my specific one would work, you would most probably need to look at a Dump valve that goes into your boost pipes
Do you think it can work on a Passat R-line 2.0 2012?
Unfortunately i have never worked on one before... If it is the diesel then maybe not but if it is the fuel it should... But there is also a big possibility that it won't sound the same :(
@@megalodononwheels thanks for the reply and I will try it anyways hehe, I hope it work:)
bro where did u get you're oil pick up/ level checker and does your burn oil aswell?
I actually got it at a spare shop near home, i never thought i would be able to get one 🤣 i struggled about 2 weeks before i got mine. They have different part numbers and each one is for a different engine 🤦 so luckily as i wanted to give up i got one, was like $15 or something.
Yes my car burns oil 🤦 and bad, i did a catless downpipe on the car, and let me tell you... Don't do it 🤦 i am smoking worse than a Diesel car 🤦 i literally bought the stock downpipe and want to put it back on 🤣
@@megalodononwheels hahahahaha bro!
Mine runs awesome atm... But! Yes a bug but' it chews oil like a mofo
A combination of the leaking top seal? Cam seals maybe and mild piston burn...
But I top it up with oil and yeah shes still fine... the smoke on mine is not too bad even with my new down pipe on...
My nxt mod is the r8 spark diverter valve and a tune... oh mine is a 6speed manual
Because the Rods are the weakest part of the engine, they fail just over 300KW or 450HP
Also if you haven't done a Stage 1 tune yet... You are missing out 😱 these cars gains a lot of power with a simple tune! They are held back a lot with performance!

Is’t fits 1.8t 2009 ?
If it is the B8 model then yes it will :)
Would this work on my 1.2 2011 polo?
The Blow off valve you need is the smaller version of mine, but yes it will work... But will it make Stu Stu Stu like mine? I am not sure... You will need to try and find out, i think your will only make TSSSSSHHHH 🤷🏼♂️
That's nice
Thank you so much! I love it aswell :) definitely a head turner!
how long did this end up lasting you
Still using it even till today 🥳 only difference is now I have The BOV on its closed adjustment as I logged the car and the car has more boost on shifts (when the BOV is closed) . I think if the BOV is fully open it blows to much boost out into the atmosphere and then the turbo needs to build up more boost when the gear was shifted up 👌
And to awnser your question. Yes you can still hear it when it is closed... Its not as loud as open but it is still loud enough to turn people's heads 👌
@@megalodononwheels thanks!!!
Bro I was wondering if I could quiz you on a few things If you had time
Yes sure... Go for it 👌😂
Nice1 buddy I've got 2007 a4 2.0l tdi was wondering what blow off valve would fit on as honestly can't find for the b7 a4 only for b8s
I am in a Audi Group, there is several B7's... I will ask them quick :)...
Respect buddy
This is only if you have a manual car right ?
No, it can work on all cars :) the car i installed it on is a 7 Speed DSG DL501 automatic gearbox... With a manual car it is easier to dump because you have the clutch to give some drivetrain slippages while you build up boost to dump... Where as with the Automatic you need to accelerate and let go of the throttle just before the car shifts or let go of the throttle when the boost is kicking in... :)
@@megalodononwheels does it void warranty
Unfortunately i do not know... You will need to contact the company where your cars warranty is being covered at... But my personal opinion... Yes it will affect your warranty
Bro, i have the same, but its not loud. Maybe its completly open? Can anyone help?
Hey buddy... Do you have a cone filter /induction kit on? It is very soft without one sadly
@@megalodononwheels Hey bro, no, i don't have a cone filter/induction kit. Really? That makes a big different? Thx

@@megalodononwheels Hey bro want to get one but not sure if it works with audi a4 b9 1.4
I've got same blow of valve and it didn't sit flush even after taking the little plastic nipple off there were still slight gap
That is weird... Did you come right?
Как ты его установил? Отверстиями вверх или отверстиями вниз?
Which direction the holes shows does not really matter, I was nore concerned about the direction the lever is to adjust it. So my lever is facing down :)

could this work on Tiguan Tdi?
I have never been under a Tiguan so i am not sure sorry :( but you can have a look and maybe if your lucky you can get a BOV... Otherwise you will need to get a Dump Valve
Is this harmfull to the turbos/engine?
That Question... Is a very big Question 🤣
Ok here we go...
(I read this in a forum, if anyone has more info please share)
I also did a test, a few pulls on the road with the BOV closed and a few pulls with the BOV open.
Yes 🤣
I would only start to argue when people say the BOV is causing the surge 🤐 because out of my experience and knowledge our car (the A4) already surges from stock, you just can't hear it because everything supresses the noise. The BOV and the Cone filter just increases the noise that is already there... Stand for correction
But thanks for the compliment...
My pull away was just a bit to much for him but his car was doing a great job 💪
what type off blowoff name
I dropped the link in the description :) it doesn't really have a name, it is just referred to the adjustable BOV for audi/vw :)
ok but like audis run MAF's and pressurized turbos guys blowing air into the atmosphere will literally fuck your audi up. Ask about how his car runs in about 2 months
I had the same BOV in my 1.8T B8 for 3 years... Never had a mechanical problem :)
The only problem i did have was when i went on a Dyno, the valve will open when it hits maximum boost... But if i close the BOV then it is like the BOV was never installed
@@megalodononwheels glad to hear! Just ordered one 😍

So far bo problems :) by all means if you do have the money thrn get the proper one 🥳 but this is just a chunk of metal, unlike the Diverter valve or sensors and etc that I would rather recommend to buy more epensive in that case 🙌
naa naah. its Sututuuuu

for the engine 2.0 tdi euro 5 vw passat b6 140hp. cod. engine cbab comon-rail it ok this valve and where i can buy one of this thx ?????
Hey, i spoke to a person regarding a BOV for his B7 2.0TDI... he asked me the same question and unfortunately after some Reaserch and asking other TDI owners... It seems like the Turbo's of TDI's cant house the BOV... So your only option will be is to install a Induction kit like my Audi has... This will make the turbo Blow off louder... And then you can also install a Dump valve on the boost piping system to make the Blow off even louder...
Hope this helps :)
Can you do it with stock air filter or would you need cold air intake?
Yes you can do it with the stock air filter, it just won't be so loud unfortunately
Would it work on a 07 Audi A4 b7??
I have never tried it on a B7 but if it has a diverter valve like the B8 does and then you might just be able to 👌 note it probably won't sound like mine... It might only be a woooosh or it can flutter aswell... Only one way to find out 👌
