  • HOW to shoot INFRARED photography
I knew getting a camera modified to shoot 850nm Black and White infrared would be a good idea, little did I know it's one of the better decisions I've ever made, photographically speaking. I enjoy getting outdoors, walking with my grandkids, I always have a camera with me, on this occasion the Fujifilm Pro-2 to shoot a few mono frames of semi rural and urban scenes as we dawdled along. Happy snapper? Ohhhh yeah.

Paul, your B&W infrared photos are wonderful. A great decision for sure to get the conversion made. Thanks for sharing. Look forward to more of your creations.

Cheers Terry really appreciate the feedback and you taking a look. I’ve always been pretty excited about anything photography related but this IR thing is just so different it completely changes familar scenes I’m loving it. Yesterday I shot an event for work I popped off a few IR shots and even shot some vid in IR again blown away looking forward to editing that footage asap. Thanks again mate 📸

G’day Paul (the multitasker champion😎✌️) , I just had the time to watch your latest video in its entirety and boy oh boy I’m glad I did it contains lots of beautiful pictures.
You have a great eye for composition and you made the editing look simple, I’d say that’s from years of experience, shooting and editing for the Newpaper. You know from the minute I seen the picture of your granddaughter running down the hill, I thought that was my favourite picture as well and I also like the one with the whisper type clouds over the top of the old derelict, hospital. I love the contrast in your shots and I especially love the blackish coloured skies contrasting against the trees. Looking forward to seeing you in the next one. Thanks for sharing.

Hey cheers Steven thanks so much for taking a look funnily enough that Vinny vid popped up on my feed last night so watched and left a comment that blokes work blew my last functioning brain cell, I went out to shoot an event for work and took the IR cam to snag a few people pix, I'm just editing them now I shot the vid clips in IR too....wow, no more brain cells to blow but man they look cool as fek. That Vincent vid has got me buzzing to shoot portraits in IR, amazing cheers for checking in mate appreciate it.

After that video l sent a message to Kolari asking about a Full spectrum Camera Conversion" for my XT-5 and asked if it is possible to still use focus peaking and vintage glass with a magnetic infrared filter in the back just waiting for there reply:). Look forward to seeing your progress with Infrared Paul.
