Thanks Scott. I would love to have seen a comparison between your IR image and a straight B+W conversion from the original. It is important to emphasize how IR differs from conventional B+W to get people interested in IR and also to clarify just what subjects give B+W IR a distinct advantage over straight B+W. Richard
Hi Richard thanks for the constructive comment. I love doing the hybrid type of IR I use and will be doing more videos so I have made a note of your comment for the next one I produce. Thanks for watching!👌👍
Hi Scott, FYI infrared film is still available in both 35mm and 120mm formats and can be found at Analogue Wonderland and I’m sure other places… Great video for me as I needed to do some infrared edits using Affinity Photo… 👍
Hi, thanks for watching, I do use infrared film from Analogue Wonderland, a fantastic company that helps keep film going! The particular film in question is Kodak HIE-135 infrared which was Marsdens preferred film. This was discontinued by Kodak years ago and from what I have read went a long way to giving his images that unique style. I'm glad you found it useful, good luck with the editing!!👍
Merry Christmas Scott, nice video, good to see something a little different. Quite a haunting image, looking like something from the 1800's where you would see a horse and carriage coming along 👻. Have a great new year and hope to catch up one day next year if you are around.
Cheers Ashley, yes I was missing a suitable model to walk down the far end of the track😂 Have a fantatsic New Year mate. We did need to organise a meet up in 2024 so will have to organise soon👌👍
Hi Scott, I really enjoyed this video, it has definitely give me an idea to try other subjects/styles in my photography 👍 The image looked great 👍 I would like to see how you do your processing for wildlife as I also use Affinity. All the best to you and your family for 2024 also thanks for doing what you do. See you on the next one
Great to hear Lee, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I will try and sort a video on my processing of wildlife images in Affinty at some point👍Hope you and your family also have a fantastic 2024! See you on the next one👌
Happy 2024 Scott to you and your family. Thank you for doing this video can’t wait to give it a try. Need to dust off the infra red lens and re watch your video.
