Interesting thing is, Sephiroth is the polar opposite of Cloud in terms of having a "reason to fight"... in the sense that he enslaved himself to his reason. After his defeat at the end of his debut game, he desperately clung to existence, refusing to meld into the Lifestream like everything else. To pull this off, he shed parts of his spirit, reducing himself to his one strongest feeling; his resentment of the man who defeated him TWICE. Now he's just a vengeful ghost who's obsessed with Cloud Strife. Having no reason is bad, but reducing yourself to that reason isn't much better. I think Cloud knows this; that's why he said "You're the one who can't let go".
Mohamed mohamed vall Before Sora arrived, Cloud had already defeated Sephiroth twice in their debut game; once seven years ago via backstab and sheer adrenaline, then again in the final sequence via mental Omnislash to the face. Sephiroth is never going to let that go.
Pokin Ryan i think you're trying to say that the dubbed line were made to match the original lip movements which is probably the correct answer Honestly though i don't think it would have been very difficult to just animate the lips again for english
I just realized something. Firion, Cecil, Tidus, and Cloud were the group for this and their respective chapters right, I think Cloud originally being with Firion, Cecil, and Tidus was a reference to the fact that VII & X and II & IV shared the same universe with one another. With VII and X being connected because of the X-2 character Shinra, while II and IV being connected because of Kain and his father Ricard in the FFIV Remake. I know it's a bit of a stretch, but it does sound like it's something Dissidia's doing because it's made to co inside with the 20th Anniversary of Final Fantasy.
Lol how does Sephiroth get off calling Cloud a traitor when it was him who betrayed soldier and massacred the town. Cloud's only betrayal was running away from being a test experiment.
In 012 after Cloud's defeat in the hands of Chaos, I guess Sephiroth could not take it anymore without Cloud or his missing memories of Shinra. So... he killed himself to be brought back in the next cycle
For anyone still asking about this. Sephiroth did kill himself to test his theory. He realized the more the heroes of cosmos and chaos fight, the more memories they awaken, and that this battle cycles are eternal. Shinryu revives them each time they die and the cycle begins anwew. So, Sephiroth realizing how pointless all this was, decided to test if that was true by killing himself, even tho he knew that if the theory was correct he would lose the memories of testing it.
So cloud was brought into the world of Cosmos and Chaos 3 times in his life and returned back home, but at which points was he summoned?
