Have managed to save £100 a month since December, so my gift fund is healthy, and I have been stashing away baking ingredients throughout the year. Rthat’s all I have managed, but we will start collecting stocking fillers and small bits from now on. Oh, We have a Turkey in the freezer too!
That's amazing! A very generous gift fund, Turkey in the freezer is very organised I always get a chicken and in October I will find one in the yellow sticker/clearance and put it straight in the freezer xx
Hi Rachel, I love Christmas too!
I already have all my condiments, my posh wine,(more expensive stuff...)and all my wrapping paper and gift bags. Also a few gifts.
I'm a single mum to two grown up lads so it spreads the cost.
Take care xxx
I don't drink so that helps me save money, I think I have all the gift bags still as I keep the ones people gave me last year and then recycle them. I don't have gifts yet but I have a few ideas. I agree starting early really does spread the cost and saves such a huge cost in December xx
Please do a gift basket on a budget
Absolutely a gift basket is my favourite thing to do x
I usually start mine in September but im not looking forward to Christmas this year dreading it really as its gonna be tinged with sadness for me without my John I love the build up to the festive season and so did John he used to get so excited bless him 😢
of course it will be a difficult time of year for you it always is when we lose loved ones but the first one is very hard. I am sending you lots of love and hugs. The build up is my favourite part of the season x
@@Solomumtoone Thank you yes I love the build up but have never liked new year really aye the first one is the hardest to get through this Sunday will be tough too as it would have been his birthday but will raise a glass in his memory xxx
@@kirstifitzpatrick I'm not a fan of new year either but I have my son this year for new years so need to think of something fun to do. I will be thinking of you on Sunday, be gentle with yourself xxx
Hi Rachel” Christmas oh no it’s six months away.i start about September/october. Last year I didn’t do cards saved so much money on stamps there even more expensive this year.❤❤❤❤
I know 6 months seems such a long way off but it only felt like yesterday it turned 2024. O my god yes stamps are more expensive than the actual cards. x
Looking forward to watching your monthly Christmas video's, like you I love Christmas & I love to be organised x
yay, someone just like me. I can't wait to do Christmas content xx
Hey Rachel, I make cards, so I've made all me Christmas cards..tick, I've already bought most of my presents, not much more to buy......tick, I've been saving 20p, 50p and the odd £2 coins, since last Christmas that's what has made it possible, just food and we're all set with no stress, great vlog xx
That's amazing! I love organised people and yes saving those odd coins really mounts up to help you out. My son made cards for family once and it didn't go down too well with the family, now we buy cheap ones. Love the organisation you have xx
@@Solomumtoone u would have though family would gave treasured the home made hand crafted personal cards made by your son over impersonal mass produced shop bought ones .. oh well there lose Rachael px
@@paulamartin6049 exactly they still kept the card but preferred a shop bought one now they get a 59p one x
I love the lead up to christmas but its not the same how the 3 girls are grown up so now i am going to have to wait on they give me grandchildren in the future i think i will enjoy that even more lol. I only do close friends and immediate family for cards and i have really scaled back on the gift list . I still do lists they are just shorter lol px
I am enjoying every second whilst my son is still young as I know it will change. My parents love having grandkids to spoil now it's definitely giving my Dad a new lease for life. Yes I have definitely cut back less on others and a little more on my son x
