The simple fact that AG Mayes notified that Maricopa County Attorney, Rachel Mitchell, to "stand down" in this investigation, tells you everything you need to know about the eventual results of the AG's investigation: "Nothing to see here. No pay for play, no conflict of interest." The AG owes Governor Hobbs a return favor for Hobbs issuing an Executive Order forbidding all Arizona County Attorneys to prosecute abortion cases, and granting Mayes the exclusive rights to do so. That little arrangement violates the Arizona Constitution, and Mayes knows it.
The dominoes can’t be allowed to fall…it’s starting to feel like jenga though lately.
This Hobbs person is about the nastiest politician around these days, and that is quite an achievement.
