I love how THQ was dead for like a decade after going bankrupt, and then THQ Nordic just comes along and proved that THQ is all BUT dead by blasting out good game after good game. They really are the last bastion of good, fun games and proving that remasters can be insanely good instead of unoptimized shit.
Saints Row 2022's biggest problem is that it took what made it memorable (over the top humor) into a stereotype. Its plot is so hung up on playing "Lol I so random" like in the old games it feels derivative...

A remake for Path of the Furon would actually be pretty sick. There's a decent game there, beneath all of the technical issues from being rushed. People ask why bad games don't get remade to improve them and there's a perfect opportunity to show how it can be done.
Yeah that game was actually good but held back on so many tech issues and bugs. It’s not 1 or 2 but I’d still say good. I think the most I had was spawning either the Black Hole or The Plant into crowded Cities and just watch the Money Generate. Sometimes I’d shoot a BH into the Plant for fun.

Natalya is a great and fun character and in the original the ending is pretty…Yeesh, this ending not only improves Nat but gives more to Crypto’s character, showing that he actually loves and cares for Nat rather than just seeing her as a sex toy to have fun with and then ditch once he doesn’t find fun…This makes me hope they don’t remake Big Willy, Crypto shooting and scooting Nat…God I hate that. I remember the mission where you had to protect the Bay City tower from an onslaught of tanks It was the only mission standing between me and 100% completion, but I failed and failed Years later I learned that you could call the police to speed up Pox's dialogue and finish the mission almost instantly

I was definitely going to overlook this remake, so thanks for bringing it to my attention. The idea of a little 3 foot gray alien just never giving up on himself in his quest for poon is amazing and hilarious.
Surprised that the game wasn't advertised as hard as the first remake, but still glad it's here. Also it's good to see that the dirty jokes and humour were kept in, that was half the fun of the game. Nvidia leak revealed tht after this remake, they're currently making a whole new original 3rd game. So the current 3rd and 4th entries are now non-canon.
They actually did censor quite a big, dude. And now it makes you look like a fool. Because they took out an entire side mission that has anti Transgender insults. And redid the ending to make the Natalya character stronger and more equal to Crypto. Plus they took out some racially tinged lines from the mind scanning feature. Still thrilled, buddy?

Reminds me of a games like Stubbs: Rebel without a pulse as well as Overlord 1-2. Great old classic, both with funky graphical art style and fun to play!

The Dislocator fully upgraded is really good. It homes in on enemies and blows up when it hits the ground. Also the ammo reloads fast enough that it’s practically infinite. You can wipe out a whole group of enemies with one well timed shot.
Yeah well a lot of mainstream published, lower budget, weirder games never fared well on those review sites, usually hovering around 7/10 rating. In a way this makes sense: a game that's worth playing but perhaps not for everyone, unlike say 9/10 or 10/10 games that are supposed to capture a wider audience. It's just how their rating system works, literally by the numbers and failing to account for core appeal. Though it is funny how it's now "6/10 no cryptocurrency jokes" uhhh ok buddy...

I wish more games would include the continuous laser beam type weapons like this series and a few others do. They are always a delight, particularly in open world games. Oddly enough, one of those games was an earlier Saints Row game, the one with the alien invasion insanity.
this game looks amazing, and seemingly a perfect representation of what an actual remake should be done. Now if someone or these guys could take a crack at the Legacy of Kain games in the exact same way,( meaning better cinematic direction, updated graphics by talented people, unchanged dialogues and story and levels) that would just amazing.

These aren't remasters, they are remakes. there's a difference. remasters arE the same game with updated graphics and a few bug fixes, a remakes are games built from the ground up to where it's similar to the original, but distinct to the point that it's basically a different game. These games are what remakes should be. Not altering the story or dialogue to make sure the people who don’t play the game are happy. Just a graphics and gameplay overhaul. I really hope they carry on and remake path of the furon so we have the full trilogy.

True. The first Remake was great and the demo for the second was as well. Destroy All Humans 1 and 2 were some of my most played games on the PS2 and I watched Teenagers from Outerspace on the first game multiple times, which, for anyone who's wondering, can be found in the files of the first game's Remake.

A remake for Path of the Furon would actually be pretty sick. There's a decent game there, beneath all of the technical issues from being rushed. People ask why bad games don't get remade to improve them and there's a perfect opportunity to show how it can be done.
Yeah that game was actually good but held back on so many tech issues and bugs. It’s not 1 or 2 but I’d still say good. I think the most I had was spawning either the Black Hole or The Plant into crowded Cities and just watch the Money Generate. Sometimes I’d shoot a BH into the Plant for fun.

They removed an entire side mission where Crypto helps a man transition to a woman but gets mocked and divorced.
Not to mention they totally remade the ending so the female character Natalya becomes a stronger woman and isn't just some dummy sex object for Crypto. She now actually has agency and independence and his own powers now!

Natalya is a great and fun character and in the original the ending is pretty…Yeesh, this ending not only improves Nat but gives more to Crypto’s character, showing that he actually loves and cares for Nat rather than just seeing her as a sex toy to have fun with and then ditch once he doesn’t find fun…This makes me hope they don’t remake Big Willy, Crypto shooting and scooting Nat…God I hate that.

Surprised that the game wasn't advertised as hard as the first remake, but still glad it's here. Also it's good to see that the dirty jokes and humour were kept in, that was half the fun of the game. Still wonder if they'll take a crack at destroy all Humans 3 and actually make it good this time around, instead of whatever we got.
Nvidia leak revealed tht after this remake, they're currently making a whole new original 3rd game. So the current 3rd and 4th entries are now non-canon.

The Dislocator fully upgraded is really good. It homes in on enemies and blows up when it hits the ground. Also the ammo reloads fast enough that it’s practically infinite. You can wipe out a whole group of enemies with one well timed shot.

This thing is getting shredded by mainstream review sites. Doesn't really look that much different than the first remake and that got solid reviews.
Yeah well a lot of mainstream published, lower budget, weirder games never fared well on those review sites, usually hovering around 7/10 rating. In a way this makes sense: a game that's worth playing but perhaps not for everyone, unlike say 9/10 or 10/10 games that are supposed to capture a wider audience. It's just how their rating system works, literally by the numbers and failing to account for core appeal.
Though it is funny how it's now "6/10 no cryptocurrency jokes" uhhh ok buddy...

I wish more games would include the continuous laser beam type weapons like this series and a few others do. They are always a delight, particularly in open world games. Oddly enough, one of those games was an earlier Saints Row game, the one with the alien invasion insanity.
this game looks amazing, and seemingly a perfect representation of what an actual remake should be done. Now if someone or these guys could take a crack at the Legacy of Kain games in the exact same way,( meaning better cinematic direction, updated graphics by talented people, unchanged dialogues and story and levels) that would just amazing.

Great decision you made I bought saints row when it first came out beat it uninstalled it now every time I install it the game boots up to a black screen last 2-3 times I installed it.
Hopefully the success of this will result in them porting the other two games to current gen systems and PC.

Wow I didn't even know this was a game until now. I bought the DAH1 remaster and was wishing they made a remaster of the second one because I absolutely loved it.
These aren't remasters, they are remakes. there's a difference. remasters arE the same game with updated graphics and a few bug fixes, a remakes are games built from the ground up to where it's similar to the original, but distinct to the point that it's basically a different game.

These games are what remakes should be. Not altering the story or dialogue to make sure the people who don’t play the game are happy. Just a graphics and gameplay overhaul.
I really hope they carry on and remake path of the furon so we have the full trilogy.
