Nonna needs a tshirt that says “I’m not an artist” and Nonno needs the “I’m not a cook” 😂❤. Nonno is like my dad a MacGyver before there was a MacGyver😂
Nonno's idea was really great! Nothing stupid about it! It's like that old saying, "if it looks stupid but it works, it isn't stupid." And, this video's release was perfect timing! I just made eggplant Parmesan for the first time recently. I've eaten it plenty of times before, but I had never tried to make it myself. It turned out good. But, I bought too many eggplants, and I've been wondering what to do with the extra. Now, I'm thinking maybe eggplant "french fries" with a good homemade tomato sauce for dipping. So, thanks for the inspiration! 😊
You catch so many wonderful memories with this channel. All the best to your amazing grandparents and many more years of health and happiness to them. ❤❤
They remind me so much of my parents. My papa' was always my mom's sous chef when he wasn't "fixing" something in his own unique way lol. My mom hasn't been the same since God called him home 7 years ago. 60 years of always being together, enjoying each other's company, laughing... and sometimes crying, and always treating each other with gentleness and the utmost caring and respect. Inspirational, just like this couple. Treasure them.
Simple bounty from the garden, Nonna's good sauce and pasta al dente. Simple, healthy food cooked with love. Nonna, do you have any hobbies beyond your full-time job of keeping the house spotless and cooking... cooking.. cooking? What would you do if you didn't cook? ❤
In order to cook well, you gotta be Italian. If you're not Italian, someone has to teach you...otherwise, everything comes naturally - especially as one ages. 😊
That looks absolutely delicious. I would suggest using peanut oil instead of vegetable oil. Stay away from seed oils. Oh....and having a bat around is a good thing. They aren't destructive like rodents. They will keep the insect population down.
@@deedrole5296 Peanut oil is often incorrectly referred to as a vegetable-derived oil. Peanut oil is actually a fat oil. It will congeal under cold temperatures, much like olive oil (real olive oil) and pork and beef tallow, which are obviously also fat-based oils. Fat-based oils are actually quite healthy for you. It's the seed oils that will clog your arteries and give you a heart attack.
I just found this channel and, omg, I can see where you get your talent and beauty, Vanessa! ❤❤❤ My grandparents were quiet, honest, salt-of -the-earth kind of people who I wouldn't trade for the world, but yours deserve their UA-cam channel! (If mine had had one, you could have calmed the spiciest pet with it.) 😂😂😂
Hi Nonna, Nonno and Julian, great meal, Nonna, and Nonno I hope you solve the mysterious animal who has come for a visit & leavings some unwanted gifts behind. Love Katherine xoxo
Please have Nonno be very careful when around bat droppings, they’re highly toxic so he should put a mask to cover his mouth and nose bc when sweeping up the droppings you could inhale dust fumes from the poo, not a good thing🙏 Please be safe♥️💫✨👼🏻✨💫♥️
These are the people that would survive an apocalypse!! They would just go about life doing what they love ❤The rest of the world would fall apart and die off😂Your grandparents would be taking care of ever and thriving!
hey i just found you guys...i love none & nonna... you guys are the splitting image of my italian family here in Australia 😊 What part of Italy are you guys from?
Sifto! Solid quality kosher certified culinary salt brand in Canada. Not the best stuff out there but quite good and affordable, great for home cooking.
Your grandmother’s dialect is very interesting. Her pronunciation of mozzarella and spaghetti is not standard Italian nor modern Sicilian . If I may ask , where is she from in Italy ?
I laughed when Nonna said " I'm.not a cook either." We know better, Nonna. We know better!
... God BLESS your FOLKs, if WE had MORE OF THEM ... this WORLD would be such a BETTER Place ...
Family!! It's ALL about family!!!
Wow, a restaurant with Nonno's art and Nonna's food. I would be there so fast.
They are too cute 🥰🥰. I'm glad I found them 😁.
There’s nothing stupid about Nonno’s ideas, pure genius IMHO! The eggplant looks good too and I usually don’t like it! 👍👌💕
I’m Italian- in Pittsburgh - with no family to cook for anymore- love watching Nonna!❤️🙏
Nonna needs a tshirt that says “I’m not an artist” and Nonno needs the “I’m not a cook” 😂❤. Nonno is like my dad a MacGyver before there was a MacGyver😂

This dish is similar to a sicilian recipe called "Pasta alla Norma", you can easily find it on the internet
That recipe looks fabulous!

In order to cook well, you gotta be Italian. If you're not Italian, someone has to teach you...otherwise, everything comes naturally - especially as one ages. 😊

Legumes are edible seeds enclosed in a pod. Peanut oil is a seed oil

This looks amazing. I love eggplant but not with the skin. Perfection!
Okay, not fair. I'm hungry and have no nonna to make delicious food for me 🥲🥲😅
Is the vegetable seasoning available in the US?
Heaven sent Eggplant with pasta and sauce. This is another treat for me to cook. Delishymo 😮😊😮😊😊

You can say it loud and clear!

Bravissimi nonni ❤❤🎉😊
You tie a walnut to the mouse trap and it works every time .. they rarely get the walnut if it’s secured well..
Of course we do lol 😆
How can we get vegetable seasoning?? What is it called ?? Brand?
That was a lot of pasta! Do you save the leftovers with that eggplant? I would imagine it would not be as good the 2nd time! Lovely family! Ciao!
Always!! Leftovers for days!!
Another great day with a Spicy Nonna vlog! I have never seen that salt in Connecticut. Its Mortons in a circular container or some knock off.
Sifto! Solid quality kosher certified culinary salt brand in Canada. Not the best stuff out there but quite good and affordable, great for home cooking.
When you ready to get married find a good Italian wife like Nonna that will prepare you delicious meals 😂
What exactly is the seasoning she uses
A big bowl
Your grandmother’s dialect is very interesting. Her pronunciation of mozzarella and spaghetti is not standard Italian nor modern Sicilian . If I may ask , where is she from in Italy ?

Hi Nonno and Nonna,
I just wanted to know what time dinner is..❤😅😅❤

eggplant looks so good but growing up I never liked it. even eggplant parm. my father used to make it with anchovies maybe that’s why i didnt like it.
