- as one of the most impulsive people i know i am AMAZED that i had the willpower to wait so long between each round of bleach !! whole thing took probably a month! i am digging the blonde hair rn but maintaining it is going to be a little less fun i think
i also don't think i fully knew how to apply bleach to my hair in the two montages so pls don't come for me or use it as a guide! this is just my hair journey!

First of all, you rock girl, I truly admire you for sharing your self-bleaching journey with everyone!! It makes me feel so much less alone about things I've done.. and yes I video a lot of what I do, but only so I can go back and analyze every mistake, and then do it "right" the next time... have no guts to share any of the recordings to the public, didn't really think anyone would be interested, but I've been super interested watching yours, and I am just so jealous that you were able to tough through that first and second orange phase... for me, I had to put darker toner over, while waiting, which made is worse when going in for second and third rounds!! Anyways, just wanted to tell you that you are absolutely amazing!!

For anyone watching this, it’s not a good idea to bleach or dye your hair with coconut oil in it. The coconut oil doesn’t help your hair during the process, it only makes it even more difficult. It fills your hair making it harder for the bleach or dye to do it’s job
im planning to bleach my hair on halloween LMAO but im super nervous cause this is my first time bleaching my hair
i do have a few questions if thats fine😭
- the second you put bleach in ur hair, is that when you started the 50 min timer? or do you start that timer once your whole head is filled w bleach?
- how did you wash off the bleach after every round? i noticed you said u used the ion step 2 product & i read more into it that its basically a conditioner. how did you apply it ?
- with toner, how does that actually work? i read that you have to apply it SUPER fast? is toner the same process as the bleach (leave it in for 45-50 min and then wash w lukewarm water)?

I started the timer once I put the bleach on but gave a little leeway to account for the fact some parts are on my head longer. Also tbh from what I’ve seen it seems like a less precise process so when you’re going at it you probably can leave it on longer esp in the first round.
For rinsing off you use lukewarm water so you don’t shock your hair and I just gently shampooed it out before using the ion step 2 treatment. You’ll leave that in your hair for a bit and the instructions on the packet are v self explanatory! That treatment makes your hair feel so much better 10/10 would rec
Toner is similar to the bleaching process but it’s not activated at all! You are supposed to get the product in your head as fast as possible so it’s even - I def was pretty messy with this and just trying to get my head covered as fast as I could - you’ll leave it in for the length mentioned on your toner and just shampoo/condition when you’re done!

I bleached my hair ones. The whole head behind my mums back and it would’ve looked good if I bought the toner!!! She made me dye it back. Dw tho I’ll bleach it again heheheh

Actually the final result is very good. Not perfect but at least you did it yourself. Something you pay a lot of money at the salon and come out close to similar results. I hope you still wear your blonde hair, really suits you

How long did you wait between bleaching sessions?
i tried to go as long as possible! it ranged between 1 week to a few days between bleaching. highly recommend olaplex and briogio don’t despair hair mask to save your hair during / post bleach!
