[Comparison] Stock E36 M3 exhaust VS. UUC System U (With Decibel test!)

- To clarify, the numbers gathered on the decibel readout were measured from a distance of 5 feet away on the left hand side of the car perpendicular from the end of the exhaust. I'm not sure how to properly test whether your car is "street legal" but i'm pretty sure the distance and position i used is not the same as the distance and position they use. What does all that mean? It means under my testing circumstances (as described above) my car was about 25 decibels louder during a rev test with the System U when compared the stock exhaust. Unless someone else were to test their car's volume in exactly the same setup as above, they won't be comparable.
Fly-by's were measured with the decibel meter positioned right behind the camera on the edge of the road approximately 4 inches off the ground and with the measuring end facing perpendicular to the road.
I hope some of you can find this information useful.

I had an e36 yrs ago and put a UUC cat back on it. Incredible sound it made. I got compliments all the time driving around; thumbs up. Miss it.

yes, it's the same model. I've noticed that ECS runs a lot of sales so if you don't mind waiting i'm sure you could find the same exhaust for less than 500 dollars.

Does it drone on highway speeds pretty bad?
It's noticeable, but I've gone on 6 hour drives and it's never bothered me. It's only really bad if you are lugging it in low RPM's up a hill or something. Of course it really depends on your own personal preferences and i think my tolerances are higher than average. From what i've been told it has worse drone than most e36 aftermarket exhausts but i don't have any personal experience with other exhausts to verify that claim.
What does it mean uuc?
UUC is the brand that manufactures the exhaust.
