This signing makes absolutely no sense at all.
You trade away your former franchise 3B in Nolan Arenado last offseason + 50 million dollars to the Cardinals, don’t trade Trevor Story & Jon Gray during the season and now they are on new teams, but throw a boatload of money for another 3B.
Very confusing.
Also weird that he'd want to go there.
At this point they’ll probably resign story I predict story will resign with them

Not a good signing imo, Bryant sits out about a third of a season with "injuries" whenever he isn't going into a contract year.
And he's not even a very good 3B anymore, the Cubs and Giants moved him to the OF to reduce his fielding/throwing errors.
Even more confusing. Bryant actually decided on the Rockies.

People think they can predict the future, but how quickly did the Cubs and Royals go from bad to winning the World Series? Pretty fast. They were both bad just 2 years before winning their titles. Rockies have been in the World Series before. You never know.

People gonna complain either way. If he signs with a big market big money team (Yankees, Dodgers, Red Sox etc) they'll be like "smh of course this guy signs there. It's bad for baseball" ... if he signs with someone like the Rockies they say "smh why would this guy sign there? I guess he doesn't wanna win"
Passion doesn't pay your bills for 45 years after you retire. He already has a ring. He got a good money deal to hit in the best hitters park in baseball. You don't know what they offered him you don't know if they wanted a long contract if your major leaguer you have passion. You have to give up so much of your life for baseball to be even in the major leagues. Easy to sit behind a computer or cell phone and complain about how other people live their lives. Worry about yourself
