Bro...I got the festool on your recommendation but it is far too agressive. The suction needed to hold up its near 5kg weight, pulls it hard into the ceiling and it just bulldozes off far to much topping . Turn the suction down and it kills your shoulders. Working over sinks and benches where you have no choice but to lean, this festool sander is just far too heavy. I bought it of a bloke who got it brand new and after 1000m of sanding , he put it up for sale. Just waaaaay too heavy and far too agressive. TheHilti is far superior with a much kinder finish. There is a new one out called the ghost at only 2.8kg but not random orbital.. I ha e sanded 6 small patch jobs and already am regretting this festool purchase. I have been using electric drywall sanders for decades. Gu na buy the Hilti and put the COB light on it
Sometimes I use the 24 grit it
doesn't come off to easily if its been painted .. but besides that the machine is worth every penny
What are your thoughts on hanging a layer of sheetrock over popcorn ceilings? Seems like it would be less messy and may even be quicker.
We have done that before in this case it was more cost effective to resurface.
Memo killing it in Pepto room. 🔥🔥🔥What percentage (if any) of that popcorn is Festool catching via vacuum?
About 85%

Ya did you buy the soft pad attachment for the festool because with out it it crazy aggressive. The hilti is a much softer sander indeed.
