I'm a producer and this pitch would be thrown out of any meeting. #1 Your proof of concept can't be all text on a screen. You need to show us you have an actual story. We need a good idea of what the story is, even if it's with actors you don't intend on the final product. You can shoot that for less than 10K for sure. #2 You have to have a script. You can sell an idea without it, but don't expect someone to spend more then say 20K on it unless you get super lucky. #3 You need people attached that prove this zero-proof concept could be bankable. You need a famous actor, or director, or a producer that says they'll do it through their well known company IF you get said capital. Maybe a famous cinematographer, but that's secondary to the above. They literally are doing everything wrong with this which shows the final issue: you don't know your own industry. That's death. Not to mention they overly exaggerated their qualifications: James was a stunt person for three movies. They were big, but chances are he was part of a large stunt team. A real stunt person is at least getting work yearly. Brian quotes Mr. Brooks -> He was Production head, not even producer. That's like me representing myself as a producer then saying I worked on a movie that grossed X amount of money, and turns out I was the editor for it. He then quotes the movie "Waiting." He was a production head on...not Waiting. The horrific 4.9/10 on imdb sequel, Still Waiting. Total misrepresentation.
This sounds more like a dream than reality, most people get the opportunity to even pitch because of their agent, or someone they networked with, then from there they’re just pitching their script, And from what I’ve seen and read depending on the story a proof of concept could cost nothing but your Iphone since you can film and do all the editing there,

And the backdrop mentioned the executive producers which are the Sharks' names and every time a Shark is out, their names on the list is peeled off. And at the end, all of the Sharks are out leaving nothing in the list and an option to find another outside of Shark Tank but that never happened at all.

As a filmmaker, getting in the business is one of the most difficult things ever especially when trying to fund a feature film. I don’t know how these guys thought it was a good idea 🤦🏻♂️

The producers agreed and not only was the clause removed, but it was removed retroactively. Cuban argued that the quality of the businesses would decline if it was kept in, which makes sense. In regards to this pitch, yeah it was kind of silly but I think most people enjoyed it.
They purposefully allow in terrible pitches and outright scams for the drama. You can notice the difference in Dragons Den UK which is way more vigilant about this kind of stuff and focuses more on actual business and numbers over drama.

@@traderzzz123 At some point, Mark Cuban made the Shark Tank production remove the clause where they get the 2 percent of profits or 5 percent ownership of the business or else he wouldn't be on the show. The producers agreed and not only was the clause removed, but it was removed retroactively. Cuban argued that the quality of the businesses would decline if it was kept in, which makes sense.
In regards to this pitch, yeah it was kind of silly but I think most people enjoyed it.
They purposefully allow in terrible pitches and outright scams for the drama. You can notice the difference in Dragons Den UK which is way more vigilant about this kind of stuff and focuses more on actual business and numbers over drama.
Sometimes the obviously bad pitches are more entertaining and memorable
