I was the guy in the white car that Matt and his team so generously rescued. At first I had no idea that they were a recovery service so when they said they would pull me out "no charge" I thought it was just a joke.😅
We had tried to pull it out right before they showed up, and I put the tow rope hook in a bad spot and it ended up tearing through the bottom of the car and my spare tire 😂 needless to say I was pretty bummed out... then these freaking awesome guys showed up and pulled me out like it was no big deal.
I was so beyond grateful 🙏 and they gave me a shirt on top of it all, which I will always wear with thanks. 😊 thank you so so much! @mattsoffroadrecovery you guys made my day!

We were in Sand Hallow a few weeks ago and went by to see Matt's Off Road. Unfortunately Matt and his crew were not there but the Morvair and Banana were parked in front and the girl at the front desk let us take photos sitting in both. My son thought that was the greatest thing since we are both big fans of the channel. When we were ready to leave we asked if we could check out the Wrecker and she gladly opened up the shop and let us take photos and check it out. Can't wait to see when they present the Golden Nugget and Rokon to Ed.

My wife and I are full-time RVers and we had Hurricane Utah in this seasons route. We stopped by MORR since I am a loyal follower. The crew was inside filming but that did not stop them from telling the girls up front to ask us to wait. They opened up about 20 minutes later and welcomed us all in; there was prolly 6-8 fans. They are great people and we got to meet everyone except Lizzy. It definitely was a highlight for me.

For Future reference the Traction Control on the newer Nissans is in the on screen menus. Using Steering Wheels controls high light the gear icon( Settings) Scroll down to VDC Setting>Toggle On/Off. The Traction Control light should come on just above the 50mph mark on the Speedo.

One time I was driving and it started raining very hard and my cars traction control kicked in and made my car slow down dangerously with no visibility and other vehicles behind me. I quickly turned off the traction control and was able to get back to a safe speed, albiet with some hyrdroplaning..but still safer than going 40mph on the highway when the guy behind you might be at 50mph and cant see you. My point is, thats a really bad decision Nissan made i would hate to deal with a menu.

One thing I learned young is to always read the owner's manual and instructions so you know what and where all the features are, where they are, and how they work. My car for example has a feature to make pulling it safe and probably far less damaging than hooking a tow rope to the wheel mounts or axle.
On the front and back there are features that look like squares that are designed to pop out if you stick a knife blade or small screwdriver blade behind and under them. That reveals a large threaded bolt hole that is built into the sub-frame or frame. That bolt hole is there for the large bolt stored with the spare tire which has a shackle for a tow rope to be attached to.
So all you have to do is pop the little square out screw the bolt in and you have an easy and safe place to attach a tow rope and get pulled out of whatever you are stuck in and not have to worry about it damaging the car body or drive train.

Living in southern Utah I’ve been stuck more times at sand hollow than I’de like to admit (usually from attempting to pull other people out). In Utah we like to help each other out. Well, the last couple of times I’ve been digging myself out I’ve had random trucks approach me and offer to pull me out for $100. I politely tell them to go to hell and eventually get out on my own. Matt, you are a stud for offering to help people for free when you are passing by. Keep up the good work.

As Matt mentions, how one react to humidity depends on what you're used to. I live on the Swedish east coast and if you go to the west you'll come to the coast of Norway. Both countries are long but narrow so we can't escape humidity, and that's why we get so much snow, in the northern parts 2 meters (6,5 feet in colonial measurements) is normal for one winter. In 1998 my town got 4,46 feet in 36 hours, humidity and freak winds. But if I came to Utah I'd probably spontaneously self-combust. I'd never go to Asia, Thailand for example, even if I was paid. The humidity can't be measured, there's no scale that can handle those numbers.

We need MoRR crew shenanigans. When can we get an Eric vs Skeeter rematch?

For future reference, if you can’t find the traction control button….. go under the hood to the fuse box and pull the fuse for ABS. This will kill power to the ABS pump. Great video guys !! Love your channel !

Hey Ed! That rope really is a life saver even on really heavy load like the trailer. Then recoveries for free is an awesome public service. I thought I saw something suspicious the last few seconds, so obviously it is wise to watch to the very end eh? Great video coverage again today.

It truly is amazing how many people try to drive their street cars on the sand.
But if they didn’t, we wouldn’t have all this fun content!

As a fan of the channel I recently took the 2hr trip to go see Sand Hollow. That sand is much much softer than what I'm used to at Nellis Dunes and other places around Vegas! Easy to understand how so many get stuck there. Also, Main St Cafe in Hurricane was really amazing. Keep up the great work guys!

It's like snow that isn't going to freeze solid again. I think I could get a FWD through it if I didn't have to slow down which means knowing a pathway well. With snow, you hit solid eventually, what Matt does is a kinetic pop, and terra planing instead of hydroplaning. This is why he turns left and right to stay on top, uses RPM to keep forward momentum, and pray the tow s able to find a small fraction of traction.
