    Nurse Dani at IntermountainMoms was able to help me this last week know when we should take CGH#1 to the doctor after she fractured her wrist during gymnastics... she saved me approx $150 for an x-ray that would have been too early to tell! {It is fractured, BTW. *sad*} They are also giving away a ton of stuff every day, so I, of course, entered the giveaway!
    Feel free to tag your own photos of this hairstyle with: #CGHCocoonCurls
    This week's hairstyle is sure to be a popular one, since so many women, moms, and teen girls are reluctant to use too much heat in their hair. The challenge with no heat, is how do you obtain gorgeous curls without heat?
    Well, we have already shown you how to create No-Heat Headband Curls:
    • Headband Curls | Easy ...
    And we have shown you how to create No-Heat Sock Curls:
    • Sock Curls | Easy No-H...
    ...but here we show you a very interesting, yet easy way to get voluminous curls without heat! It uses a technique we call "Cocooning," yes, cocooning as in a caterpillar turning into a butterfly! {We originally learned this curl from / beautyklove , so be sure to check her out.}
    This technique only provides the curl on the bottom half of the hair, so I find that a headband or hat is the perfect accessory for this hairstyle! The curls also last for a few days, so you can combine these curls as a 2nd or 3rd day 'do using any of our accent braids, twists, etc!
    Enjoy!
    Items Needed: Brush, rat-tail comb, spray bottle, bandana, hairspray {if desired}.
    Time Requirement: 15-20 minutes

    Thank you! Today was picture day for my almost 3 year old and I wanted to give her some curls but I'm a single Dad and while I can knock out a decent braid, I'm still in the early learning stages of anything more complex. I tried this method last night and get awesome curls this morning, wish I could post a picture. Her hair is so thin that I had a hard time getting the knots to stay so I just secured them with small hair bands. Thanks again, can't wait to check out more of your tutorials!

    Guys, if you take smaller sections (about 2 inches) and apply the same technique, then you end up with curls that look like you've used a curling iron on them!
    Hope this helps!

    I don't think it's ever said enough of hair models in videos and live hair shows, but THANKS! Your eyes are lovely, your hair is great and your smile is contagious! I was a hair model off an on since a little kid, so I know that instruction through demonstration is essential to learning anything, and having another had to work on instead of your own helps add both to the interest, and to the viewer's learning experience :)

  • @stefaninava91
    @stefaninava91 9 років тому +1

    Yay ! Awesome ! I tried this out and it came out really pretty. I've been trying really hard not to use heat. Now their is something I can actually do with it instead of just taking a shower and leaving it down.Last year I would straighten my hair every single day of school and now I so regret it because I had to cut my hair really short and schools starting next week and it only grew a bit. So i've finally decided not to use any heat at all for the whole school year and this is one thing that I will do to my hair as a back to school hairstyle ~thank you very much cx

      Abby Galeano I know I’m a little late 😂 I had the same problem but I eventually figured out the problem. Make sure your hair is damp and not greasy (the grease lets it slide out) and remember to keep the little loop and tail in the perfect position. Also, don’t forget to push the cocoon downwards slightly to secure it. Hope that helps x

      Jarelys Pagan Bantu knots just take 3-4 sections of hair and damp them and then tie them in little buns and sleep on it or blow dry it and take them out

      +chandni aswani no it doesn't damage the hair because you're not using heat. just water as suggested.

    my hair always unravels-.- cocoon doesnt hold..:/ any tips?

    • @janice9223
      @janice9223 10 років тому

      I use this method alot, when you do the cocoon; I take a rubber band or hair tie and then kind of wrap it and secure it..
