It was also fitting that Kratos killed Ares and Athena since they kidnapped Deimos all because of some prophecy of doom that a marked warrior would destroy Olympus. Interesting though those who try to change their fate or the fates of others unknowingly fulfill the very prophecy they tried to avoid. Zeus could have not repeated the mistake his own father Cronos made but no instead history repeated itself again.

God of War 2 was the best in the series. The story, music. Golden Fleece and Titans Inferno are the best and the bow with the huge whirlwind attack. Masterpiece
Isle of Creation alone can carry the game :)

With no better recourse, Kratos took the suggestion and patiently manoeuvred to execute the trap again and again, each time luring the enraged Zeus to his pattern of weakness. Soon enough, he sensed a chance to use the Blade of Olympus a second time.
I swear the adrenaline in this fight was 10/10 the bit where he kicks off Zeus to redeem himself was just amazing! He travelled back in time and he was ready to end the King of Gods himself
This was a great lead up to GoW3 which was a magnificent game! Kudos to santa monica studios for delivering this masterpiece of a series!

The change in his voice fucked Kratos up. Like if the change in his character in the last GOW wasn't enough to destroy his legacy.

Also during the ending cutscene I counted around 10 titans climbing Olympus but in god of war 3 there are only 5 present not counting Cronos who was in Tartarus so where did the other 5 titans go?
We can assume the remainder of Zeus' forces that we didn't see, likely led by Hercules, dispatched.
In all fairness, the Titans are pretty stupid creatures. They lost the Great War because they assumed their unrivaled strength would prevail, not accounting for the Olympian strategy and wit.
And yet, here they are again, scaling a damn mountain in the most strategically vulnerable position imaginable.
Im still impressed when Zoos got stabbed about 4 / 5 times in the chest / belly with blade of olympus, but still managed to flee like a bitch 😮
I remember playing this for the first time and I genuinely got confused as to why Kratos "surrendered". When I saw that QTE pop up it hit me. I was very slow to catch onto the plan.
To be honest if Zeus said that with his death kratos' torment would end, kratos would probably let him kill him
@@WolffangPL kratos knew the gods lie, so if zesus could assure him and if kratos knew what zesus is saying is true then yes he would have happily died if his torment ended
@The Second Chadkage zeus returned as zesus after he banged all the souls in helheim and returned to midgard to fight kratos again.

A remaster is updated graphics/quality. The gameplay is HD in this version and thus a remaster

Ever since I first played GOW 2 years ago when it first came out, I never understood why Zeus summoned the sirens at the beginning of the fight. Every time Kratos kills one of them, they release a shock wave that hurts Zeus in his giant form. I figure that after the first and second shock wave, Zeus would have figured out that summoning them wasn't such a good idea.

0:42 you know what the biggest mistake, making kratos opening the Pandora’s box, and that’s Zeus fault, so he deserves to die at the third.
That’s not the only mistake he took Demios away from Kratos. His own son that he ordered to be locked away in torment because of a prophecy. Demios was Krato’s brother and his death was the last straw. Kratos helped avenge Deimos by killing Zeus.
Okay what did Athena mean by Zeus only Son, he has had multiple children Hercules, Ares, Hermes, Apollo the list goes on

Dude barely managed to get through Zeus cuz of power of hope , blade of Olympus , several other god weapons , Titans support and his cheap trick to drain most of zeus's power here by stabbing him
And he's got none of them anymore and odin with his odin force is far stronger than even zeus

Zeus was extremely weakened in gow 3 and still kratos needed all the help he could get (Pandora's help , Titans , blade of Olympus , power of hope , other god's weapons etc) and yet he struggled a lot , zeus almost killed him even then even tho he barely had half of his power there zeus pretty much won there , just shows you how much of a beast zeus actually was
