Yeah nothing suspicious at all about a code blue or whatever abd everyone in the hospitla running except these two calmly walking the opposite direction. I wouldnt try and stop his big ass tho
not really. There is a specific team in place on each shift who are responsible for codes. If you're right there, feel free to step in, but be ready to get out of the way when the team shows up. So if there are already people running down the hall who are supposed to be running down the hall, everyone else should be clearing a path and staying out of it.
@@el9206You’re completely correct about that, but those two just left that room when the dude started coding. It’s the cop’s job to care about the location and safety of the individual in that room. You’d think he would’ve been like, “hey, those two were just in there!” Especially considering Reacher giving the cops a lot of credit about noticing the bulge of a firearm underneath scrubs.

I once had a patient who pulled out his catheter while the balloon was still inflated.
When my father was in the hospital his elderly roommate ripped out a catheter during a dementia episode. It was quite the bloodbath.
Is that even possible....? The balloon wouldn't pass through the urethra without a lot of blood...

Two medical errors here: 1. the balloon is in the bladder and not the urethra and 2. Reacher injected IV fluid and not air into the IV. Guess they need a new medical advisor for the show.
He said the balloon is in the bladder and there's clearly nothing in that syringe.
If he pumped more air into it it would just expand in his bladder and probably wouldn’t cause that much pain because there is room for it to expand. Now if he drained the air, pulled the catheter out like an inch THEN started pumping air, that would hurt cuz it would be expanding inside his urethra.
There's one more medical error you forgot. The one where your mothers abortion didn't take.
Grey's anatomy can't get it right, what makes you think a cop wow would lol. Also, you can't get an air embolism from that little air in an iv. This would only work in an art line

I have liked some of the clips from this series...I don't know the context here, but felt like torture porn in the worst way. Not cool, and I won't ever watch another Reacher clip unless someone can justify that. An execution scene, basically...seemed a little un Reacher like to my old heart.
@christopherecatalano the dude in the hospital bed was gonna shoot a child but they hit him with a car so he ended up in the hospital. There's a whole large plot that goes with it as well
@@girthquakr based on the clips I have seen in the past, I did kind of expect that the guy was a complete monster. The Reacher character seems to have a lot of mercy in reserves.
@@christopherecatalano There has been some argument between viewers regarding the morality of some of the killings that Reacher and the Special Investigators did, especially the chopper pilot and the scientist in the final episode of the season. But I believe the actor who plays Reacher has said that the character is not a "good" man in the strictest sense, and will happily do horrible things to other human beings in the pursuit of his idea of "justice". I watched the whole season through, but I think I'm done.
@@jmills6397 , I saw it out of context, I know. When I watch this kind of thing I tend to respond to the acting, and in the scene with the guy dying on the bed it felt merciless. He seemed to project a kind of humanity. Of course he was a complete monster, but the acting expressed otherwise. I remember feeling awful in the original Crow film when Brandon Lee strapped that worst of the bad guys into a car and sent him off to a fiery death off a pier. It was an absolutely brilliant scene, the best in a movie with a lot of them. I felt the Crow's need for revenge, but the acting was so great and the guys face and eyes demanding pity in such a convincing way that it still felt painful to watch. It isn't reality, but this shit twists our emotions and does sometimes make me think I contribute to the problem for even getting caught up in it while watching.

There were several things done to the guy that I haven't seen in action movies before. Smart to put the electrodes on ones own chest when you are torturing your victim. The catheter thing was also novel. Those Reacher movies are great!

Not every single person in the area runs to a code blue people. There's a team that responds along with the staff caring for the patient. My phone sounds a code blue and I'm not supposed to be there I stand clear and even leave the area. There's already about to be 8-10 people in there and the last thing they need is spectators.

quick google search proves that a foley catheter works like that, just with water, not air. it does balloon like he says however
@@joshuahiltpold248 the balloon is in the bladder not the urethra. A male bladder holds roughly 700ml. You could blow that balloon up to the size of 2 beer cans and not cause any damage easily. That’s a three, maybe a 5ml syringe. So you would need at least 140 syringes to get to that point. Also, the balloon would pop first and cause absolutely no damage to the bladder. I do not need to search the internet for any of that. I am a nurse. If it were that easy to kill someone with a slight error during a catheter insertion tens of thousands of people would die every year from the procedure. We catheterize unconscious people or people that have no sensation there every day.

I liked season 1. But watching this now, I don't think I want to continue. Reacher is badass mofo, but not an cruel, evil psycho. Here he reminds me of a horror film villain like Hannibal Lecter or John Doe from "Seven"! Big Nope.
well, not everything is black and white, and reacher has proven plenty of times to *good* people, he's got a heart of gold and does what he thinks is best to keep them safe, or goes through hell and high water to protecc or avenge them. season 1 exemplifies this cuz the villians are COMPLETELY irredeemable. for fucks sake, they had one dude crucified and castrated, to send a message, and another dude was forced to watch his wife get tortured to death with mirrors all around and his eyes taped open so he literally, couldnt look away even if he wanted to.
season 2...is...well, i havent seen ALL of it, but this dude was not innocent, and was going to either shoot, or kill a child, and if there's anyone reacher will show zero mercy to, its someone who harms children. the methods were definitely fucked up, but he's not a goody two shoes and is basically delivering the same kind of pain that this man's victims could/would have felt. eye for an eye i suppose.
this is when they kinda start veering away from the books though, as well, so this one is KIND of...well. unnecessary. ill agree on that lol

Season 2 leaves a very bad taste. The supposed good guys are sadistic murderers. This is not in the spirit of the books

Some context to the this scene is the guy he “embolismed” is in the hospital because he gunned down a cop who was protecting a little girl and then he as about to execute said little girl cartel style before reacher and crew hit him with a car

season 1, was fantastic. honestly one of the better in the genre. kind of predictable plot and villian, but the way they get there and the sheer badassery of reacher, does great credit to the books its based on. 8-9/10 easily.
season 2 is...hit or miss. its not a bad show, but it probably didnt really NEED a 2nd season, as theyre also using some plots that ARENT in the books so they arent nearly as concise or clean. it gets messy.
